It all makes sense when you see how the outside is laid out, but the first time is a bit of a head scratcher. Service: Things here are definitely designed to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace which is fine. Our person was there when she needed to be there but if you are looking for something quick, maybe inside at the bar would work better because it was a solid two hours for us door to door. I will say this, Beaumont oozes classy and sitting outside on a warm summer evening with a bit of a breeze with all of the flora and fauna of the grounds in truly a treat. The lobby area I don't have anything negative to note and the connected bar/restaurant looked nice. Our room was in rough shape. The bathroom ceiling had an extreme leak with bad stains and the floor and toilet were soaked. Walls are pretty thin and you can hear a dog on our floor barking and other conversations happening in other rooms. Bed was small, uncomfortable, and squeaky. The only other room available that evening was the room causing the leak in our original room. The sink was running and there was a smell of mildew & chemicals in the entire room. The chair at the desk was disgusting and covered in stains. We had to find a hotel at 12AM refusing to stay at Hotel Wayne. Again, I appreciate the older charm to the place, but a lot needs to be kept up with - especially for ~$200/night.

From the 4pm welcome social, that included delicious White & Red wines that danced graciously on your palate. Various delectable cheeses, crackers, olives & thinly sliced turkey meats. YUMMY, they were! Movie nights, s'more's & more libation at your choice. The next morning, a scrupulously delicious breakfast was served; with a fresh brewed coffee from Ethiopia & a freshly squeezed grapefruit hearty drink. Yoga awaits me at 11am. I'm now chilling at the warm pool ‍ until my 2:30 Swedish massage ‍. Tonight (11/8), Saturday with my incredible cousins and their lovely friends who joined us on a "Cousin's Girl Weekend", will be celebrating me & my birthday . We tried to straighten it out with phone calls and emails but were completely gaslighted and had to involve our credit card company. I will say parking was easy and the cleaning staff was great. Some folks have trouble finding it using GPS. My advice is to ignore the GPS and just drive southeast across the river, on the main bridge in the center of town (Rt. 29), as if you're going to Scranton. Turn in sharply toward the Comfort Inn on your right or southwest, then drive past the Comfort Inn, along the river, for two miles.

There are themed suites, a large two story tree house, and owners Clay and Dave were very hospitable, and the accommodations are spotlessly clean. An assortment of fresh fruit, French toast, and pancakes, bacon and sausages were served for breakfast. There are expansions in progress including a Taxidermy Museum and a Bakery / Coffee Shop. It is located just two miles from Ricketts Glen State Park, which features incredible hiking on well maintained trails, with some spots that are very challenging. There are 21 very good waterfalls that can be accessed from the lower area of the park, and from the upper area. Ricketts Glen is one of the best and most beautiful State Parks I've been in. Just a few miles away from Rickets Glen is Sullivan Falls, another incredible hike with several beautiful waterfalls. If you come to this area, you probably should spend 3 to 4 days to see it all.
