We come here when we crave for Cuban sandwiches. This place is a chain from South FL and was recommended by a Cuban friend. As soon as you walk in, you will see the big dessert display counter filled with desserts, pastelitos and baked goods. We have tried a few of their sandwiches and desserts. Sandwiches were savory and pressed to perfection. The Cuban French toast seems to be interesting so I gave it a try. It was soaked in syrup and a little too sweet to my taste. My wife has been begging me to go here for 6 months so here we are. We had a coworker bring Vicky Backery Cuban desserts to the office for a party and really like the croquettas and pastelito so Vicky was a must try. We went for lunch, and pick up desserts for later. When we got there it was a little busy, so we just admired the displays of all the great desserts and cakes. They even have seasonal items to try. We finally made our choices of the sandwiches. We got the classic Croqueta Preparada this is a classic Cuban Sandwich with a twist of adding the croqueta's in between. We also got the Pan Con Lechon the Pork Sandwich. Both were good. The bread was so soft and delicious. We pick up a variety of desserts to take home. We really love the variety. We will definitely be stopping back to try some different types. read more

An afternoon of gluttony! Leaving the all-you-can-eat sushi place, we walked past Vicky's on the way to the car. Not that I was hungry. Vicky's showcase is tantalizing, and I'm clearly attracted to bright and shiny things. Well .... I ordered wrong. I should have followed my friend Martin N's lead and ordered a croqueta, pastellito or tequeno. But noooo.... I chose a chocolate chip cookie to nibble in the car, and a slice of rum cake for whenever. They packed a Napolean for T. The cookie is boring. Not sweet enough; crumbly, but not good-crumbly. Where's the rum cake? She gave me a piece of birthday cake instead. And it's stale! (I think it's somebody's way of telling me to lay off sweets.) I'm not presumptuous enough to dig into my husband's pastry before he's ready to eat it, so I reserve judgment. Four stars is generous. When trying to decide where to order from for lunch, Vicky's came up on our food delivery app. We quickly decided this was where wanted to order food from after browsing the menu. The food prices made it so we could easily order a few differnt pastries to trybthings without spending a fortune. We ordered chicken expands, chicken and cheese croquettes, flan cheesecake, a pork sanwhich and a load of Cuban bread. The food arrived still warm and crispy. It was packed full of flavor. The cheesecake was our only left down, you loose the creamy texture of the flan. Next time we would order one of the mini flans. The bread was soft with a nice slightly crispy outside. It was perfect with a little butter but had enough flavor you could eat it plain. The next time we're in Fort myers we would love to visit in person. read more

Once, I have ever sampled their party platter in a family celebration! They first started in Hialeah and now have franchises in Miami, Orlando and now in Fort Myers! Vicky Bakery occupied the corner unit at the Colonial Blvd side by Ginza in the El Dorado Plaza. There are ample parking spaces available. Inside, there are only four tables and some high chars by the Windows area. There are five large display of Cuban baked Goodies. Stop by on an earlier Sunday afternoon. It is clean. Signs are in Spanish and English. I said to the smiling face behind the order counter, "Un Café con leche, Y sandwich Cubano, Por favor", "What is your name?", "Me llamo Martin". You don't need to speak Spanish; the staff is bilingual. A few minutes later, I'm biting on my delicious classic Cuban Sandwich and sipping my Café Con Leche! The staff are very friendly and efficient! The pastellitos, tequeno, empanadas, and cakes are calling my name. Will have to come back soon! read more

So glad we stopped here. Retired couples love to eat out. New breakfast (here in Ft Myers) option here Judy had the classic (with bacon) and I the omelette (diced ham) sandwich. Both were good with Cuban bread. The bacon however, was undercooked, the eggs (2) we ordered scrambled were flat but not distinguished. Coffee con leche and American were excellent and hot. We ordered empanadas (3) and croquets for home consumption. The store is immaculate, fresh and busy. With 20+ in Florida I'm sure they will be successful here. AMAZING!! Spotless, jammed pack, plenty of ladies working, lines are long but move super fast! Truly a legitimate Cuban bakery. Bilingual staff is super efficient, patient, and friendly. A friend of mine from Miami sent me here to try. She said she loved the one in Miami. I felt like there was a large variety of pastries that were savory and sweet. I was in the mood for savory. I tried three different empanadas and one croquette. Prices were great. I didn't realize but they also do birthday cakes and cakes for other occasions as well. They also do party platters and there was steak, chicken, and Cuban sandwiches too. They warmed up the empanadas for you when you order. I will definitely be back to try some of the sweet pastry options next time. I also heard the Cuban coffee is great here! read more

I went to a hair salon in the same plaza, and the woman there let me try her Cuban coffee, a cortadito. I was instantly hooked. After my hair appointment, I walked over and got potato balls, pastelitos, and two sandwiches. Everything was so good. I especially liked that the potato balls were smaller than the ones I've seen at other locations, particularly on the West Coast. We enjoyed it so much that we went back two days later for a tiny cortadito and their fried flan desserts. They also have fresh-squeezed orange juice. The flan desserts were incredible. They heated them up for us, and they were like turnovers filled with flan custard, then drizzled with a thin caramel sauce similar to dulce de leche. The texture was amazing. I would highly recommend this place and can't wait to try more items next time. read more

Vicky bakery is well known for their Cuban pastries and cakes on the east coast and I'm glad they made it to Fort Myers.... Now we just need one in Lehigh. **We can chat about that if you need some location ideas!** All pastelitos from Vicky offer a light flaky exterior... exactly how they should be! Your pastelito should never feel like a cracker or very greasy. They know what they are doing. I've never been a fan of Vicky croquetas, but they are the definitely the BEST you can find on this coast. I love the bakery, it's a taste of Miami up here in Ft myers and I would give five stars if it weren't for the girl with long back hair at the front. I've been here five times already and the two times she's been at the front cashier she has had such a nasty attitude and I don't understand why. I didn't get her name, she's always in a foul mood. The blonde lady is a sweetheart and the rest of the staff are nice, I would just recommend maybe moving her to the back and putting someone a little happier at the cashier. I have her a second chance but again just not a happy person it seems, I'm also not asking to be overly nice, just pleasant. Went there for fried pork chunks with black beans and rice. What I got was roasted pork. Not one to complain, give it a try first. The roast pork was OK but not what I ordered. That is not all I am complaing about. The rice was filled with pieces that were hard as a rock. The rice was 60 to 70 percent of my meal. I ate the pork and some of the beans, throught the rest away. For 15 dollars I thought I was going to get a great meal. I contacted Vickys bakery, and left them know how bad my meal was. They said they were sorry and to please come back and try us again. This place is so unreliable. Coming from Miami to Fort Myers I was so excited to have a Vicky Bakery so close to home, the last time I was here I had to wait for my order for a long time, noticed people that got there after me getting their food so decided to ask just for them to realize my food had been sitting there for the longest and nobody cared to deliver to me. This time around I placed an order 2 hours ago, paid over the phone to make sure it was ready to go when I picked it up since I had somewhere to be, when I got there, my platters were not ready, the ladies behind the counter were almost laughing between each other about it asking each other where my order was, just to say they had to fry the croquetas and package the platter that once again, I CALLED TWO HOURS AGO AND PAID FOR TO HAVE READY FOR WHEN I GOT THERE. If you need to place an order for pick up MAKE SURE you have enough time to wait for your order because lore than likely it wont be ready and you calling ahead will be pointless. They didnt even apologize they just acted like all they have to do is fry them. Very disappointed because Ive never experienced this in the Miami estabishments. read more

I've been trying to contact this restaurant from three different phones for the past couple of days. They answer and hang up each and every time. My grandmother loves their cake, so I keep trying to get in contact due to questions I have and simply don't have time to make it in person thanks to work. I'm deeply dissatisfied with the inability to contact this location, which has never been an issue with any location before. Once the order was placed online and we picked it up, nothing was the way it usually is because we couldn't make adjustments or any requests as we do on the phone. The personal touch was missing, which resulted in mistakes in this order. When my mother went in person, the manager had stated that they found out the day prior that they were having issues with their phones. I can understand that they're having issues, but there was no mention of this on their site, no apology on the phone when they couldn't hear anyone for multiple days, no sign in their door, nothing. If I'm spending a good amount of money, because prices have gone up everywhere, then I expect proper service. Not a half-hearted apology and an annoyed face when the issue is brought up in person. They could've even let my call go to voicemail for me to leave one and for them to call me back rather than continuously pick up, get audibly annoyed that the call is coming in, and hang up. The good: great presentation, clean and nice staff with a good service; the pan de bono was good but was missing a little bit more of cheese, the café con leche was delicious! The Bad: the worst medianoche that I taste in my life, the pork was acid, the bread was stale and the flavor was anything but a medianoche, Cuban pastry is known for the flavors and DOES NOT HAVE CINNAMON IN IT! But all the pastry that I taste like the rum cake (which I love in Miami Vicky) had a lot of cinnamon as well as the torrejas, I couldn't taste the flavor at all! The spinach empanadas were soggy, the medianoche was soggy and tasted awful, with stale and acidic flavor, the ham croquettes were super bad I couldn't taste the ham in it at all only the bread in it! So, overall I would NOT recommend Vicky Bakery from Fort Myers! Only 2 stars because the staff and the place, because in actuality, they deserve maybe, one (1) star! read more
