After surgery, this area was lumpy (and wasn't before) and I was told to rub it a lot. I'm 7 months out with lots of extra skin and lumpy bumpy that rubbing will not take away. Had I known this was the outcome... I wouldn't have had it done. As far as the Breast Reconstruction. At SEVEN months out... I have not lost and significant weight and my breasts look as though I have breast fed a child for 2 years. They are not flat... but the nipple placement is low and the breasts are not perky. So when I got a bizarre injury in Katrina that an orthopedic surgeon said couldn't be fixed I came here and said "Really?" They said "we'll see" and they made it better. Shoulders are the absolute worst to rehab so when my dr wanted to go with a different PT I said no way I want this one. I have never had to take very many pain meds because PT with these people has always worked and I don't mind going because the staff's number one focus is making me better.

He brought me in yesterday for a laser treatment to remove the growth of cells over my artificial lense. Again, the results are excellent. I woke up with clear vision in the operative eye, and there is no residual pain or discomfort. This procedure was subject to a deductible of several hundred dollars from Humana, plus a fixed fee for the surgery center itself. I feel that my outstanding vision at age 73 is well worth the fee. Dr. Benefield and his staff have always been very courteous and helpful over the years. There have been one or two appointment glitches, but those are only minor inconveniences which also happen in other medical practices. I highly recommend this office after nearly 10 years and I'm thankful to have this quality of service here on the Gulf Coast.
