Numerous other landscape companies declined to bid the job as it was to complex. Dan and his team created a masterpiece that exceeded our expectations. We gave Dan the direction and he created a design that embraced large natural boulders, fabricated natural stone steps, and our selection of patio surface material. These people are true craftsmen and it is worth the wait to get to your home. They are not the best at communication and responding but I believe they are among the best landscape craftsmen in the area. You haul it back to the barn and they wrap it up and help you get it on the top of your car. It is cash or check only, I think, so come prepared. You can also get a cute hand-painted ornament for your tree, wreaths, and more. They are dog-friendly at the farm, so some years we bring the pups too. They have 2 friendly black labs so if your dogs aren't friendly I'd leave them at home. Wear sensible shoes! It is often muddy or snowy. Prior to picking Country Pines we had visited numerous other "pick your own" places and this is the best. We won't go anywhere else.

Nice little FAMILY run Christmas tree farm. The man that helped us said his father used to run the…read morefarm and now he has it. They have a little bit of a walk to the actual trees. So, they have a wagon that carts people out to the trees. It was a nice little touch. When you get out to the trees they have some handsaws that you can take to cut your tree. If you don't want to cut it yourself, then you put a little tag on the tree and they will cut and haul it for you. They had pre-cut concolors, which is what I wanted to buy. The owner brings the concolors in from someplace in Springwater. But my family wanted to hack one down, so we went out to the trees. They have white and blue spruce trees, and I think Douglas Fir. We cut a blue spruce which perfectly fit into our corner. The majority of the trees appear to have grown naturally. They don't seem to do a lot of shaping of them throughout the year. They are still pretty and natural looking. They wrap the trees in the baling stuff and even help load and tie the tree to your car. There's a small shop that they sell homemade wreaths in and some crafts. They also had some cookies and hot chocolate there. A great touch after a cold trip to the trees. Price... very reasonable. I think ours was $35. STILL wish we got the precut concolor though. They hold their needles so well. Maybe they will plant a couple for the upcoming years!

I was told by a friend to visit Oriental Garden Supply (No, they don't just have oriental plants). I was blown away with what I walked away with! I worked with their landscape designer and ended up with an amazing plan that I could break up into different projects so I can move forward with a budget I was comfortable with! Amazing plant selection, knowledgable and friendly staff! I would give them a 6 out of 5 if I could!
