In my opinion, professional boundaries and objectivity were not maintained in ways that should occur within therapy. I encourage others seeking treatment to carefully consider the importance of ethical standards and clear therapeutic boundaries. Lastly, my direct experience with Patti over the years has left me concerned about ongoing impairment issues due to mood and mind altering substances as she has a known history of this. During many of my sessions I witnessed Patti "nodding out." At one point she slept for about minute before she ended up jerking her head that ultimately woke her back up. These types of experiences ultimately led me to discontinue seeing Ms. Thompson. I myself have also filed a complaint with the Florida department of health which is currently under review with the states attorney office due to the various forms of inappropriate behavior and boundary crossings.
