Updating my review since the initial nurse I saw left the practice (she was awful). After they…read morefound fibroids on my ultrasound, I was referred over to Dr. Valdez for a surgical consult, and I'm so grateful I landed in her care! She's kind, knowledgeable, and patient, always taking time to explain procedures and options (as well as risks), and always answered all of my questions (and my partner's and mom's). I also really appreciate that she's not a fluff person, just direct and to the point, but she also laughs and jokes with us. It's apparent she deeply cares about her patient's. Dr. Valdez got me the referral to hematology that the original nurse refused, and my iron infusions really helped with my anemia and iron deficiency. She then did my myomectomy this summer, which unfortunately didn't last, and my fibroids came back right away (to no fault of hers), so I got in for a hysterectomy with her in November. Besides blood clots, which I was at higher risk for, I've had zero complications or issues, and both of my post-op appointments were pain-free and reassuring. Both of my ultrasound technicians were also wonderful, making sure I was comfortable and took their time to make sure they got everything. With insurance changes, I saw other doctors for gynecology over the years, but have gone back to his practice once he evolved from obstetrics to the hormone replacement side of medicine. I had many friends talking about the success they had with hormone treatment and gave it a go after experiencing various symptoms due to menopause. I gotta say that pellet treatment is a game changer! If you decide to go down this path, make sure to stick with it a few cycles...a couple of my friends stopped after one session; I would recommend you go for at least a year to give it time to work completely (I go every 4 months for pelleting). I don't think insurance covers this, but it's worth paying out of pocket for me to relieve many symptoms due to aging. From what I've heard, Dr. Komadina has the some of the highest numbers (if not the highest) of BioTE patients in the US which makes me feel even more confident seeing him for this treatment. One final thought...some of my friends had told me that hormone replacement was a "marriage enhancer." I will say this has been true in my case lol...I'll leave it at that.

I have been using their services since moving to ABQ and have found staff to be very compassionate. They listen to you, any concerns that you may have and advise the different options/things that they can do to help you. Although my visits had been with different staff, I found them all to be very personable and have great bedside manner. There was no uncomfortable, awkward moments, despite some types of checkups that are needed for women's care at all. The only thing is...I think they are pretty short staffed. You arrive and check in...but you may have to wait a bit to actually get your name/check in done (because the front desk runs a bit late) or the staff may still be with their prior appointments. But otherwise, the quality of their staff, their services and the cleanliness of this facility made me feel pretty content with the services I receive there.

I noticed Ariana O's comment below and although I am sorry about the difficulties she had with her experience I wanted to comment about her saying that "he crams people in like sardines." I think it just appears that way becuase there are a total of four Dr's and two midwifes all in the same office. You walk in and it's packed, but they aren't all there to see Dr. Dandade. I have a feeling that his office will move to a larger location, especially since the hospital is now under construction.
