She is nuts. I've had anxiety, depression,and PTA's since childhood. I'm not new to docs or meds. She wanted to put me on a new med with extensive side affects after only seeinG me twice basically because I was having a bad week. I refused, the first time I've ever refused a med. using my coping skills and simply letting it pass, I was back to normal shortly. She is condescending, out of touch with modernity and social norms, and DOES NOT listen. If I had taken her advice, I'd be an antisocial hermit. Also, she constantly brought up people and/or issues that I no longer wished to discuss or were already irrelevant. Terrible doctor. Terrible person. Also, she only takes CASH OR CHECK. Something is definitely not right about Dr Krantz. My 18 yr old college student became severely depressed. I was frantic to find a psychiatrist to see him because he was suicidal and I wanted to see a professional. My son went to see her twice and when my son told her he also saw a therapist she said she would no longer see him. WTH!? She acted liked he did something wrong. So ridiculous and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and find another doctor for these services. I have already filed a complaint and will be taking further action after the treatment of my daughter. I hope everyone who considers her for treatment sees this first and goes somewhere else. read more

My family's experience with this so-called psychiatrist was horrible. I would NEVER refer anyone to see her. I showed up on time for my initial appointment, but she didn't even have the decency to tell me that she couldn't make it. I waited outside, but she never arrived. I called the next day, and she rescheduled my appointment for the following weekend. I thought it was odd that she would come into the office on a weekend to see us, but I assumed she felt bad and was trying to make it up to us. We were on time again, but she was not. When she did arrive, she looked and smelled as if she had just rolled out of bed in a dirty house. I am not exaggerating. Her hair was not brushed and her clothes were wrinkled and covered in cat hair. She had a slight smell of cat urine. Her office wasn't clean either. She had older toys and books for the children to play with, but they were in horrible condition. I didn't feel comfortable there. Usually, most professionals display their credentials, but she didn't. It made me doubt her qualifications. Aside from the her appearance, and the appearance of her office, her mannerism wasn't any better. It was a perfect example of the outside matching the inside. She didn't listen, jumped to conclusions and made condescending remarks toward my child. I was in shock and disbelief. I have NEVER experienced anything like it!! Things escalated quickly inside the office. I had to call the police because she struck me. The police asked me to remain outside, while they went inside and asked her to tell them what happened. After speaking with her they told me they agreed that she didn't seem "quite right", but I had no marks, and it could of been an accident. But she also claimed that I struck her!! It got worse, she told the police that she believed I was a neglectful parent who allowed by children to share a room. She told them she suspected that one child could be abusing the other child. It was a complete and total lie. A lie that was perpetrated for the sole purpose of shifting the attention and punishment from her to me. The police said she was required by law to report any abuse to them, and that although her version of events was different from mine, they had to treat her claim seriously. She was protected by law, and I was at the whim of the system. Child protective services were called. During the initial investigation, I felt like I was treated as if it were a foregone conclusion that she was telling the truth. And who could disagree with that? On face value, a person with a degree in that profession should be believable. However, that was NOT my situation, and ONE of my children HAD to be REMOVED from my home during the investigation!! After our 2nd meeting the case worker apologized to me, he said there are bad apples in every profession. I went through the "process" of clearing our names. It took almost SIX weeks to complete their investigation AND both children were interviewed by the District Attorney, a State psychologist and several social workers. We were CLEARED and the entire thing was DROPPED, (I got a pat on the back and was told to be more careful choosing a doctor in the future. They also suggested we seek therapy for what we had been through.) The affects of her behavior have lived on. Neither of my children (or me) have forgotten her behavior or what she did. She truly does NOT belong around children or in the field of psychiatry. I was told by the DCFS case worker that I could file a complaint against her, but other than that - there was nothing I could do. I have never posted a review on Yelp before and I feel so strongly about warning the public about Dr. Kranz that I signed up for Yelp for that reason alone! I started seeing Dr. Kranz in November 2014 solely because she was on my insurance plan and relatively close by home. Appointments are relatively easy to get and wait times were always minimal. I feel like Dr. Kranz was so convinced her medication choices were ideal that she failed to actually listen to me tell her that despite some alleviating symptoms, I actually wasn't feeling well on the medication. That was my first sign that this was not the right choice in providers for me. As a patient of hers for almost 9 months, I had never once cancelled an appointment or was late for one. Recently I called her office to cancel an appointment for more than 24 hours later due to childcare issues. I then went out of town. I returned home days later to find a bill in the mail for a $50 late cancel fee. How is more than 24 hours a late cancel? Not a week went by and another letter comes in my mail stating that because she hasn't heard from me, she is now terminating her services with me! Are you kidding me?! One week and she doesn't even bother to find out if I'm in town? Sick?, etc? Trust me, I had no plan of returning to her after slapping me with a late cancel fee, but now.... Steer clear! I would think someone who works in this field of healthcare would try and be little more understanding when it comes to dealing with her patient's daily lives. I could understand if I was routinely cancelling or late to appointments, but my situation was a far cry from that. Now, she has sent my $50 to collections! Apparently you need to know if your are sick or have a child care issue days before an appointment to avoid being hit with a late cancel fee. That's reasonable, right? Not!! I would avoid Dr. Kranz at all cost and find a real "professional". read more
