I highly recommend this clinic, specifically the therapist Brittany. We would meet virtually 1-2 times a week in the beginning, which was super helpful in my healing process. She was encouraging, warm, and direct in her approach. She really helped me become a better version of myself, challenging myself along the way. She is the first therapist I've had who I felt truly seen by. While I'm sad to have concluded sessions, I am feeling more prepared to live a life worth living. read more

Dr. Taylor is the first therapist I've ever truly felt comfortable with, after 15 years of therapy hunting. They do a great job making sure you're comfortable, even when addressing difficult subjects. Never once did I feel uncomfortable, judged or unwelcome, which has happened many times with previous therapists. I highly recommend them. Book a session for my 5 year old with Autism non verbal. I told her my son had Autism/Adhd. At the end of the session she told me she didn't specialize in children with Autism. Just money hungry and wanted the money. The mother and her child went over their time. We didn't get in the room until 12:20pm was billed for a full hour. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. The therapists there are amazing but the billing department is not good. They had been charging me incorrectly due to their error with a tax id number so i was being charged out of network instead of in network. i have made several attempts to get this corrected as well as my insurance company with no avail. No return phone calls and no updates. Very poor handling of my account and my daughter has not been seeing her therapist because of this. I love the therapists there. read more

This is by far the worst therapist I have been to ever... I would advise staying away from these people. I have been dealing with an abusive situation where my dad was controlling my finances and messing with my life as a result on top of treating me in ways that anger me, and was going to family therapy to address... I've been very hurt during this process, and have had thoughts about hurting my dad in return for what he has done to me. My dad always wants to bring this up, so I was open with them and discussed how I previously felt, and that I wasn't interested in hurting anyone, but that I could have these conversations and be open and honest about all things related to these issues we are addressing. I wasn't going to lie or make excuses, and that I can own the things I have said even if they were inappropriate. Kristin Amicone called me and said she was concerned for me and wanted me to go get evaluated. When I explained to her that she was mistaken, and the stuff she is talking about was how I felt in 2015-2017, when this was brand new to me, she then threatened to call the cops and have me taken against my will. I told her to get her boss Terry Donath on the phone which she did and then they both evaluated me and said that I was ok. Don't you think that should have been the first thing they did? Not threaten to try to have me hospitalized against my will? So they were so concerned about me to threaten me, but not concerned to try to stop the abusive behavior or care that they put me through this, this afternoon. I am filing IDFPR complaints on both Kristin and this practice as a whole. Stay away from this company. read more

Don't get me wrong I love my therapist and would love to continue to work with her. HOWEVER. The billing department is a nightmare to deal with. I had originally been on a biweekly autopay system that was set to be safe for be to forget, unfortunately due to an error on their part I stopped being billed and accrued a balance of 500$ which I was notified of and had reached out to set up a payment plan. I go to set that up put down an initial payment and also specify I would like it set to auto pay biweekly so I can run them with my paychecks. This I guess also failed to happen and I was allowed to continue to book sessions and accrue a further balance of 1500$ in which I was charged a large sum of 1057$ today. They apparently had capabilities to run payments on my card and also never at any point tried to notify me or my therapist of my outstanding balances or that there were never any charges on my account. Charging that large of an amount out of nowhere took an entitled paycheck and then some. I have been sent to overdraft and nobody in the entire office has picked up a phone, called back, emailed. I've been left with no answers from billing. My therapist has been the only point of contact throughout the entire crisis. This is entirely UNPROFESSIONAL and UNSAFE to be charging so recklessly without warning. read more

Please STAY AWAY from this company. There are other professional therapy companies out there. I wish I read all these reviews prior to starting services with this company. Everything I have read in here is true and then some! They are crooks and over charge you. On top of that this company is extremely unprofessional and violates HIPPA laws and does nothing about it. If I could I would give 0 stars! We started having billing issues back in the beginning of April. I had to reach out numerous times to have my billing fixed. We had insurance and should have been paying only a $10 co-pay. I would get random higher amount charges. After the 5th time they messed up my billing I was fed up and my therapist connected me with the billing department. The lady I spoke with from the billing department was rude and unprofessional and shared inaccurate information with our couple's therapist. I received a confrontational email from our couple's therapist due to the inaccurate information the billing lady shared with him. In addition, I received a phone call from an individual claiming to work for Chicago Psych Therapy Group. My husband had a phone call with this individual after I spoke we him and we know he does not work for Chicago Psych Therapy Group because he kept changing his job title and I reached out to both owners after the fact and no one responded. So this individual called me to yell at me, call me a b*tch, tell me "who do you think you are you ain't nobody". He proceeded to yell at me for 15 min and not let me speak all in regards to the billing issues I had. He proceeded to do the same with my husband and in addition threatened my husband and told him "I'll be in Miami next week and I'll see you. That's not how we do things in Chicago. I'm from Chicago". I reached out to the owners about the incident as this is a HIPPA violation with my personal information being shared with a non-employee. The unprofessionalism of this individual was alarming. The way this person spoke and threatened a client. Additionally, what concerns me, there are individuals that come to this practice that are seeking help with their mental health. What if this individual calls someone and triggers them to may want to harm themselves. For Chicago Psych to claim that they care about the well-being of others and for them to allow this to happen is unacceptable. None of the owners responded to my phone calls or emails. Not to mention they continue to try to charge me. We had a random charge on June 13th when we cancelled our services May 3rd. And they sent us a new invoice for a $500 charge for a date we already paid and out insurance already paid. I even reached out to them again on Friday about these billing issues when we are no longer their clients and no response! I've asked them numerous times to delete my account and my personal information and no response to that as well! So do yourself a favor and stay away! Not worth the headaches, the money and the unprofessionalism from these people! read more

I've been going to Tara for sound healing for 2 years. I experienced this type of therapy with her initially as part of a group class in outpatient treatment. I continued with her individually after that as I wanted to get deeper into it. The sessions are very calming for me on deeply emotional and visceral levels. I'm affected by her beautiful musicianship as well as by the vibrations of the bowls. After a check-in, Tara tailors the session to what is going on with me at the time but she usually focuses on the chakras. Different senses are awakened. I usually end the session feeling energized and focused, with a second wind for the rest of my day or evening. read more

Dr. Dornak is phenomenal! She is great with addiction, anxiety treatments such as meditation, and bipolar disorder. I have been with her for almost two years. It's been the best decision. I am shocked at how irresponsible this group has been with my money. After my insurance changed, they charged me correctly ONCE for my new ($20 cheaper) co-pay, then went back to the old co-pay. Since they were automatically debiting my credit card, it took me a few months to catch it--$240 in over-charges later. When I brought they matter to their attention, they gave me a refund of $40. I asked to see their accounting on the matter, and what they sent me was an outrageous mess, with multiple places where the had processed refunds as additional charger, many $15 refunds noted for the $20 over charges. I sent back the "refunds" they had charged me additionally circled in red and asked for explanation/correction and they did not respond. Today I noticed ADDITIONAL NEW CHARGES made TWO MONTHS AFTER I left their practice. Since much of my need for therapy is related to my issues with money insecurity, this has made everything MUCH WORSE-- it has already taken hours of my time to review their terrible bookkeeping and find their errors for them (normally I charge to review someone's books for them!!!), and having received no response is triggering all kinds of money panic. With the new charges this practice now owes me $240, and I will clearly have to take legal action to get it back. read more
