That being said, I don't go to every show but normally pick two or three a year that most interest me - not including smaller productions downstairs at the McManus or one off concerts or events. Admitedly, it may not have the production values of a big Broadway play but more importantly it doesn't have the cost. The seats are comfortable (well, relatively) the lobby and lounges are well decorated and they often off rotating art and/or interactive displays set up. There is a decent selection of beer and wine to be enjoyed at intermission and even cookies and juice for the kids - all at reasonable prices. Ideally situated in the heart of Richmond Row, it's easy to have a nice dinner beforehand or apres show drinks. I'm always amazed when I hear some people say they've never been as it's always been a part of my life and the cultural experience. I mean - yes, sure -- I've seen some plays that I enjoyed less than others but this can be pretty easily avoided with a little careful selection of what shows to see. London is lucky to have regional theatre of such an amazing caliber and I hope it's around for another 100 years!

Everyone was taking video of their child and he just singled her out. This was after he rudely kicked my brother and father out of their seats and proceeded to drag them through the theater to seats that were reserved by others in 3 different areas. They ended up back in the equivalent seats on the opposite side of the theater. This is the Sterling Stars Dance Recital not a professional show where those rules apply. .. so if this guy is reading this YOU SUCK and it is your fault that you guys got this review . It's a very clean and modern facility, albeit it somewhat drab in color on the exterior (it matches the drab 1960's brick construction of PHHS itself). Acoustics are quite good, as is sound system and lighting. I've been to several event here in the last decade, and have a pretty pleasant experience at all but one of them. All in all, a great venue for the community.
