4.5 stars here. After some deep research of the options in Pitlochry, we chose Victoria's for its menu variety-Scottish, Italian, Latin, etc. We were not disappointed. There is a nice flower rimmed patio here that would have been our preference but alas Scottish weather did not cooperate. Interior basic tables and chairs. Attentive service much appreciated. A number of Scottish cuisine dishes caught my eye while perusing the menu. We picked Garlic Bread to start, mainly due to the fact that across the board we have enjoyed amazing breads while in Scotland. Though it could have had more garlic flavor, the bread was delicious. My DW was not overly hungry so she chose the Beetroot and Goat Cheese salad. This was pronounced delicious and mention was made of the mild, not too robust, flavor of the cheese. Scottish lamb-Roast Rump of Perthshire Lamb-was my choice. Served with ratatouille & dauphinoise potatoes, both of which I felt were truly outstanding. The potatoes especially were an excellent compliment to the lamb. I was pleasantly surprised how the flavor of the lamb was much less "gamey" than most of my past experiences. The unctuous flavor was eye opening and the red wine jus added deep flavor to the dish. Loved it. We skipped dessert here for the ice cream shop down the street. If you visit Pitlochry, be advised that the tourist busses can flood the town day and evening so if you want to visit Victoria's, best to make a reservation. Highly recommended. read more

Honestly, this place is kind of a middle of the road pub you'd find in a small town. The food is adequate but nothing spectacular. The steak and ale pie was big enough for two, so my daughter and I shared it. The crust didn't cover the whole pie like a typical pot pie and instead had a crust on the top and bottom - just no middle. Overall it was fine but I've had better. The husband had the burger and said it was "fine." The son had the avocado smash with poached egg and crispy Ayrshire Bacon. We had forgotten that bacon in the UK wasn't the crispy kind Americans are used to so I'm not sure what "crispy" was supposed to mean. It didn't stop him from eating all of it. We sat outdoors - no heaters - in an area in front with a large seating area, where we could watch people walk by. The server was really sweet and came out to the street to give us directions before we left. read more

My friends and I decided to grab some breakfast here. I was blown away by the Shakshuka. It was delicious and filling, the best food I've had on my trip here. Stopped in for lunch as I was working my way through the countryside of Scotland. Victoria's takes pride in having some very tasty food, and while they cater to the tourist crowd (it can be very busy during the lunch hour when the big tour buses stop into town) they also cater to the locals who were very present during my visit. We were warmly greeted and shown to a table in the corner. Our server was quick to explain the specials and to take our order. I ordered the "American Club sandwich" (which actually was pretty good) along with some of their homemade soup of the day. If you go with the soup- plan to split it with someone unless you are using it as your entree as it is a huge serving and comes with a big slab of crusty bread. They were nice enough to split ours in the kitchen and it was plenty for two. Know that the tiny piece of paper that they drop on your table with what looks like hieroglyphics on it, is your bill. Just take it up to the register when you are done to pay. The server has moved on to other tables and won't be back but that was fine with us. Bathrooms are downstairs and are clean and well stocked which makes this a great break spot if you are traveling. And if you catch a nice day- you can even sit outside on their cute patio, watching all the people walk by. A little bit away from the car park, but it is worth the walk if you want good food and a chance to stretch your legs. Also if you are a shopper- it gives you a chance to souvenir shop in Pitlochry . . .which seems to be the main attraction in this town! read more

We had the fried squid and haggis bon bons for a starter and then the duck shared for a main. It was all amazing and really good quality. The duck especially is exquisite. Very good value for money as well. read more

We stopped by Victoria's after attempting a dinner at "Old Mill Inn" and leaving prior to ordering. This was exactly what my husband and I were looking for! The waiter was a bit "meh" and so not my favorite (I overheard him tell the table next to us that if he could cook food as yummy as Victoria's then he would have no need for a wife. Har. Har. Har. Sexism is so witty and fun!!!) but the food was awesome!! We started with the nachos and were so excited with what we got - melted cheese, awesome Scottish beef, chili, salsa, sour cream and jalapeños! Super easy to eat, yummy and great comfort food. I went with the carbonara pasta with pancetta, mushrooms and garlic in a cream sauce. Completely spot on! My husband went with the Italian style chicken wrapped in prosciutto and filled with mozzarella. All in all? Great meal. Fair prices. "Meh" server with stupid lame jokes. read more

On our fun Scotland and Ireland vacation our big group of 26 people stop by for lunch at Victoria's after our scotch tasting. Wow! The food was great, budget friendly and great costumer service. I had the Grill Goat Salad, with added chicken. It was the best salad I've had in a long time. Not, only did my salad was the best and don't forget the coffee, but everyone in our group was very happy with the restaurant service and food. As we were in Pitlochry for the Enchanted forest that evening we needed dinner but hadn't booked anywhere. No biggie as we were lucky that Victoria's had a table for us, which was perfect timing as it had become really busy ten minutes after we sat! I ordered the venison, which was ok. It wasn't that flavoursome, In fact lacking some but I just don't know what it was lacking. The mothers ordered fish and chips and both enjoyed it. The brother order a pizza, which to be honest looked on the small size that what we're used to! The pudding was a brownie with caramel sauce. It was really sweet and that's me with a sweet tooth saying that! It was nice but I couldn't finish it! The value for 4 mains, 3 desserts and four coffees wasn't bad either. The service was friendly, attentive and quick. It has a Italian diner feel to it. I'd be happy to come back and try something else. read more

Victoria's won us over instantly. Well you only get one chance to make a first impression and letting customers in 5 minutes before you shut and offering the full menu is definitely one way of doing it! Despite this late hour (you'll find most of everything closing in Pitlochry around 9pm). The place was still pretty full. Victoria's is warm and welcoming with a real wood burning fire in one corner. Though a meal is on the pricier side for the area it is certainly worth it. The service is excellent, the food even better. As your in the perfect area for it i'd advise trying a fish dish, you won't be disappointed. Everything was served up quickly and with a smile. Perfectly well cooked and despite the place closing soon we were never made to feel rushed or unwelcome. It really was a lovely night and one of those where you only really glance at the bill thinking, "it is what it is, I've had fun." read more

Large cafe on main road in Pitlochry. We had a fairly nice lunch here - bacon roll and a goat's cheese pannini, with x2 lattes. It cost us £17, which was on the steep side. There is an outside terrace that seats approx 30 people and the flower baskets in the summer are something to behold! Really beautiful. 10/10 for Flower Power read more

We spent a night in Pitlochry and were looking for somewhere with decent, reasonably priced food for dinner. Victoria's is a large restaurant on the main road, serving a wide selection of foods. Living in the city we were surprised that the prices there were reflected here - I had chicken fajitas at a cost of £14 while my husband had fish and chips at £12. So, not quite the cheap dinner we'd hoped for but the service was good and the food of a reasonable standard. My only complaint would be the toilets - they are downstairs and you have to pass a really draughty door to get to them which was quite chilly!! read more
