I had been back to Soma in Kingwood since my last review in August of 2024 but I knew it was time to be fitted again. I had the pleasure of working with Hannah, a very sweet and extremely patient young lady. She measured me and helped me find two perfectly fitting bras. She checked my fit and we agreed on which bras looked and felt the best. I sent her on several trips to the back to find different styles in my size. She always returned with my requests. Soma is a bit more expensive that going to Wally World or shopping online BUT you are guessing your size and the quality is lacking. The bras I bought at Soma in the past are still in great shape after two years of wear and washings. It's true that you get what you pay for. Hasta allí todo bien, eso fue el 5 de Mayo. Hoy aproveché para pasar a la misma tienda en The Woodlands, Texas, y al pedirle a la manager ayuda, pues el reembolso sigue pendiente y no se libera. Le expliqué mi situación y atrevidamente sugirió que eso ellas no pueden hacer cobros así, dando a entender que yo estaba mintiendo. Fue muy vergonzoso pues había gente comprando; le expliqué de manera clara lo sucedido y solo me decía que en servicio al cliente podían hacer algo para ayudarme. Su actitud no era amable ni comprensiva, era cortante y autoritaria. Le expliqué que si me hubieran explicado que yo tenía que hacer algo extra para reembolsarme, lo hubiese entendido, pero que el error era de la chica y no mío. Todos cometemos errores, pero la manera de reparar puede ser más amistosa, pudo haber tenido más empatía y lo hubiese dejado allí, no estaría haciendo este comentario que me parece importante. I finally committed to using Lighthouse Boudoir and I would highly recommend Sontera to anyone! My biggest fear when committing to this was that I would get my pictures back and not like them. After months and months and months of researching and looking at other pictures online on various websites, I felt like my pictures would never live up to what I had seen others look like in front of the camera. Boy was I wrong!!! I was more nervous on reveal day of the proofs than I was in front of the camera, but Sontera delivered the most amazing and beautiful pictures I had ever seen of myself! My favorite part of the shoot was the fact that I was one-on-one with Sontera and there was never a moment of awkwardness. Yes, my sultry face attempts were awkward, but even through that we laughed it off and she managed to capture my expressions at just the right moments. When looking into doing a boudoir shoot, I initially thought I'd be in a studio or place of business but I loved the fact that this shoot was in Sontera's home studio. It gave a sense of comfort to the entire experience.

I let her know that we Ubered her response "well the Uber should have stayed with you" she hangs up in my face . We call an Uber . To come back . So I called to let her know an Uber was coming . 3 times I called one the 2 nd time she leaves the booth & judge watches me call . I'm still being positive like okay let's just wait for the Uber . The Uber gets there & another guy gets there who mind you he had his own vehicle & she refused to open the door . She refused to let him in . My Uber comes & I tell the Uber the situation she decides to stay no problem . I go to the door yo let them woman know . She refused to answer the phone or the door ......yall when I say she wouldn't answer the phone but said through the door I AM GOING TO CALL THE COPS . Man we all left & yes the Uber driver was black & yes the guy who pulled up young gay guy in his early 20's was also black . However, I stopped in again about a month ago, and I was pleasantly surprised at the transformation of this place! The walls and shelves are packed with product, especially in the toy room. They not only have almost everything, but several different types of those things. The store is clean and neat, for the most part (The building seems like it's a bit old, so it could use a little TLC.), and the clerks are friendlier and more helpful than some of the ones who used to work here. One of my Other friends who had shown me this boutique had known her personally and reached out, ONLY THEN DID SHE DECIDE to text me some message on how MY appointment got cancelled and if I wanted to reschedule. I think its completely unprofessional to cancel an appointment for a someone and not let them know and just leave them in the dust. if this is how she is even for shopping I cant imagine how unprofessional she is in her other endeavors.

I was not in a very body-positive mindset the evening before and even walking into the studio the day of, but that quickly changed as I talked with Julia and her team. My nerves calmed when Laura started on my makeup, and Kendall handed me a glass of champagne. Leading up to the photoshoot, I received several emails with information regarding their downtown warehouse loft location right across from Minute Made Park and parking. They also included how to best prepare for the shoot--from what to wear, skincare suggestions, and where to buy high-quality lingerie if I didn't already have some. The email sent the day before let me know the timeline and everything that would take place that day. Their excellent communication certainly helped me relax before the big day! Laura did a beautiful job on my makeup. I typically wear very natural and light makeup, and it was fun to see the drama she added, so my makeup would stand out for the shoot! I still looked like myself, which was important to me. While Laura did my makeup, Kendall went through the several outfits I had packed and my jewelry to pick out the shoot styles. She and Julia decided to put me in a few pieces from Julia's lingerie line, and they were absolutely stunning! It was wonderful to hand over the final decision making to their team of professionals and relax. Once my hair and makeup were done, I got to see the outfits that had been styled for me, and we started the shoot. Julia demonstrated and talked me through exactly what poses I'd be doing for each shot. She kept saying "gorgeous" or "perfect" with every shot, and it definitely boosted my confidence. By the end of the shoot, we had several stunning photos to choose from, and we sat together to whittle down the choices. This was the most challenging part of the experience, and I was stunned to see myself on the screen. Was that really me? The lighting was stunning. The curves and angles were so feminine and breathtaking. She and her team had managed to bring out the goddess in me, and I couldn't have felt more confident leaving the studio. I will be recommending ShineOn Boudoir to all of my friends. Men and women alike! They also shoot couples, which could be such a fun gift for a birthday or holiday. I'm certainly hoping my upcoming birthday involves a gift certificate so I can snag more of the photos I had to weed out from this shoot! Highly recommend!
