Nice small town studio. They offer 2 week free trials. Classes are assigned by belt class and age.

UPDATE: I'm changing my original review to 5 stars…read more I want to be fair to this business and acknowledge when I don't have the complete picture. After my original review, Master Joo reached out with a very detailed explanation of the account history and provided a copy of the membership agreement that I signed. After reviewing it, I realized that I had misunderstood portions of the membership and cancellation terms. There was still some miscommunication surrounding the billing that caused my initial frustration, particularly seeing two payments processed in August. However, they explained that one was the August payment and the other was an outstanding April payment. More importantly, Master Joo went above and beyond to resolve the situation. They agreed to refund both August payments and the freeze fee, cancel the membership effective August, waive September, and ensure there would be no additional charges. I could have simply deleted my original review, but I think it's more appropriate to leave this update because businesses should receive the same public recognition when they make something right that they receive when a customer is unhappy. I appreciate Master Joo's professionalism and willingness to work with my family. Based on how this was ultimately handled, I've changed my rating to 5 stars. *******ORIGINAL 1 STAR REVIEW****** Parents, please read the membership and cancellation terms very carefully before signing up. My son attended one class, and in early July I contacted World Champion Taekwondo to cancel his membership. When I was charged $169 afterward, I didn't dispute it because he had received a uniform and I felt that was fair. Unfortunately, the charges did not stop. I was charged again, and I have now had two charges hit my account in August. When I contacted the business, instead of addressing my concern about being charged twice in the same month, I received an explanation stating that the membership had a four-month minimum commitment, frozen months don't count toward that commitment, and there is then a 60-day cancellation notice requirement. They are now telling me September will be the final month -- meaning additional billing after I attempted to cancel in July following my son's single class. I understand that businesses have contracts and cancellation policies. My issue is the way this has been handled and the continued billing, particularly the two August charges that were not addressed in their response. In my experience, these billing and cancellation practices feel predatory and extremely consumer-unfriendly. I would strongly encourage other parents to read every provision of the membership agreement, especially the minimum commitment, freeze, automatic payment, and cancellation provisions, before providing a card. I've requested copies of the signed agreement, freeze paperwork, a complete payment history, an explanation of the two August charges, and written confirmation of exactly when the billing will stop. I'll update this review if the company resolves the duplicate charge and handles the cancellation appropriately.

It's always a happy and positive environment and even though the room can get full during sessions, the children still get the attention they need and are pushed to their limit by the masters. The masters are respectful and attentive with every child and use music, sometimes games and activities to motivate the children to do their best and have fun while in training. Bringing our child has been one of the best decisions we have made and we are really happy with the progress and are excited to see what will become of him in the near future with this excellent team!

Martial arts teaches self-discipline, focus, respect, and confidence and I have seen my daughter mature so much since she started taking classes. Instructor Jarus quickly became my daughter's favorite teacher. I highly recommend you give this place a try. Martial arts has been my saving grace. After having my daughter, I struggled to get back into shape. I joined a gym, but I got bored and had no motivation to keep going. I tried diets, but it was too hard as a groomer, drinking coffee for breakfast, not eating lunch, and then wolfing down an entire day's worth of food in one sitting. My dad signed my daughter up for martial arts classes and eventually, I joined her. I fell in love with it, me. I never have been athletic my entire life! It not only engages me physically, but mentally. I found self confidence that I've never had before. I actually like putting on clothes and I feel good in my skin. I'm 5'7". My goal was 145, I'm at 142 now. The number wasn't as important to me as feeling healthy and I have never felt better! I'm stronger than I ever thought I could be, my flexibility is so much better, my back and my joints don't hurt as much anymore, and I'm not drained of energy after a day at work. I hope everyone can find something that they enjoy as much as I enjoy martial arts because it has been life-changing for me. I'm in the best shape of my life and I have found a great community of people that I consider part of my family at Dynamic Martial Arts.

Initially upon moving to the area, I began at a different studio and was very unhappy with my experience. In search of a better facility, I located Taekwondo Center of McDonough and explained my concerns from the last class. James, one of the instructors, was very patient in answering all of my questions. After consideration, I decided to give this studio a shot and boy am I glad I did! Before beginning the private lesson that I had scheduled for only my children, I was able to watch some of the other students in action during a belt/physical test. This inspired me to take the class for myself as well! We've finished our quick-start program this week and my children and I have all felt great and motivated after each class. They play energizing music during the warm-up and the exercises are fun! Classes are separated by age groups but they're integrated between all belt levels and I really appreciate that higher level students in their black-belt club help instruct newer students in class, too. It's very much a team atmosphere. Their motto is "A black belt is just a white belt that never quit" and I really like the focus on respect and discipline. They alternate instructors through the week between Master Huynh and the instructor James. I've really enjoyed classes by both and I value that they have the traditional values of martial arts in their program. If you're looking to challenge yourself and learn the true art, this is the place to go!

All have been very professional and inspiring/motivating to my 6yr old girl. She loves going. We joined with a special they were having, then they notified us when our days covered under the special were about to be over. They gave a paper with different pay plan options (pre-pay full year, month/month, three-month commitment, etc) if you so choose to continue. They have 3 rooms they rotate the class through, each with it's own focus. I love this place. The only downside for me is that of the 5 instructors, only 1 speaks English as a first language, and 1 other instructor is ok speaking English. The other 3, I feel like I need a translator. I understand tae kwon do has Korean roots, however... Being a business in a city where English is spoken dominantly, bilingual instructors should be a priority. Especially when yearly commitments equal over $1k. I would feel more comfortable knowing I can have clear communication with the instructors/owner.
