The instructors are great to work with and understand the importance of being good at motivating people. I've lost over 20lbs in the three months since I joined and look forward to each of the 30-minute sessions I attend 3-4 times every week. Spartak ATL has become my extended family. I began training here a couple of years back. The level…read moreof instruction in both Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and the Fitness Bag classes is excellent. Spartak means Sports Society and Spartak ATL is certainly a family atmosphere which has scope for kids, teens, adults, fitness fanatics, serious martial artists, or beginners who just want fun. There are classes 5 days per week for both kids and adults. Adult classes are early morning and/or evenings. Spartak is not however a 'Mcdojo', so you or your kids won't be an expert in a few years like at most other styles of martial art e.g. karate, wtf taekwondo. What you do get is a very cost effective place to train, functional martial arts and fitness, camaraderie, and a far cheaper (than anywhere I know) place to spend your hard earned money. When belt promotions take place you should know that they have been earned and that you or your child are worthy of it. My kids have trained here as long as I have, both have entered competitions a couple of times and placed in medals. This is a very eclectic group of people, we have people who train from at least four continents. Our instructors are originally European and/or Brazilian but certainly promote American values.
