ATA is one of the largest teakwondo schools in the world with thousands of studios. So do not worry if you move to a different state or country. Their schedule is great. We have 2 classes ( regular class and leadership class)every day for 6 days per week. You can attend as many as you want. I think it is flexible and well worth the price. The Chief instructor, Mr.Van Eck is a real professional. He just added 2 more world titles to his collection. We are grateful to have him in our studio. We took the moment to reach out to the school today because after over a year and a half of our son…read moreparticipating in the program we saw quite a few set backs with moral issues with our son.  We talked with the "Manager" about our concerns and advised them that if we did not see an improvement in these areas that they "Teach" we would look elsewhere for our son.  Instead of addressing the issue he advised that our contract renewed and we would have to pay through the end of the current contract 7 months from now.  This should speak volume about the integrity of this location and what they are teaching.  That it is more important to make a buck vs the lessons they are teaching our children.

He's now eager to follow the instructors commands and attend when in the beginning he was scared to get out there because he was kicked out of the other class which said it was his age group but there were way older kids who appeared to have gone before. Dojo classes truly are kids his own age and a mostly kids that have only began within a few months or two but all still young and on same developmental level. Very impressed with their ethics and interactions with the children.

One thing about Kickboxing you have to be consistent in everything you do...You definitely have to go at least 3 to 4 times a week. I always have a great workout, I know I'm burning calories and also you have to have a good diet to keep the weight consistent and off of you. The staff and instructors make you feel welcomed. They scarred my 3 year old by chasing him while slapping the ground to make loud claps to try and get him to go faster. He was the slowest in the class because he was the YOUNGEST AND SMALLEST. He literally immediately stopped in his tracks and from that moment on hated every second and cried anytime "karate" was mentioned. Every time I would bring him it felt like I was torturing him because he had legit fear and I could see it in his eyes. When I said I was canceling his they said they understood and it was fine but then continued to charge me. Master Miron said he would reimburse and make sure it was canceled but never did. Then my oldest wanted to stop because his brother wasn't doing it with him and I wasn't about to force a 4 year old to do something he truly didn't want to do. When I told them I wanted to cancel both o was suddenly told "oh, you actually signed the 12 month agreement and are obligated to pay for the whole year." EXCUSE ME?! they have my signature on a piece of paper that I was falsely informed of while they took advantage of me having an 18 month old with me as well, always busy and never able to sit and talk about any contract. Never in a million years would I sign a 3 and 4 year old up for a 12 month contracted class. THEY ARE THE WORST. ONLY SEND YOUR ENEMIES HERE.

You can tell that for Mr. Monroe and his team it is more than job and most of them have been doing it for many, many years because they love it.
