My husband picked up some flowers for my sister and I at Victor's and they were absolutely beautiful. My husband usually struggles to pick flowers for me but he said Victor's made it easy for him. He told them his price range for two arrangements, one for my sister's birthday, and then one a surprise for me. They customized the bouquet for him and the whole process took about 15 minutes. A relative sent me Flowers I took a picture of them and sent it to her she was really disappointed with the arrangement, It was wilted and disheveled, my friend & I didn't think they were a nice flower arrangement either but it was the thought that counted so it brightened up my day..I noticed these creepy dark spots all over the leaves so I called the shop to inquire about all the disappointments what a mistake that was... a rude unprofessional woman called me back & was so nasty to me like I did something wrong.. I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my Mom's birthday. The process online was pretty easy. I called in the afternoon to confirm the florist was going to deliver I said "good afternoon, how are you?" No answer. After an uncomfortable silence, how can I help you? ... the lady on the phone was short in her answers, I felt I was bothering her, she was borderline rude. What made matters worse was that the same lady delivered the flowers. My Mom was super happy with the surprise however at the end of our conversation my Mom added "the delivery lady was rude, it just leaves a bad energy around" needless to say, I would find a different florist next time. My first visit to this flower shop was pleasant and I was really taken aback at the quaint feel and the selection of unique gifts and beautiful flowers. The woman who helped us was efficient and we placed an order for my sister's shower. Pretty painless and simple. We had a different woman help us a few days later when we picked our order up. Her demeanor was very gruff- not pleasant at all. She proceeded to tell us that (although we specifically had requested that the leaves on the flowers be left on) they "had to take them off the pink ones to be dyed." OK, not completely unreasonable, so we sort of shrugged it off. She then began literally slamming the flowers into the water bucket. Seriously, if she could have thrown them in there any harder she'd have been playing tackle football. I felt bad for the flowers lol and was concerned that she might actually damage them because of the way she was picking them up and throwing them into the bucket. Yikes! That's why they have CKO kickboxing and stress squeezer balls- no need to take it out on the flowers! She was very rude but in a feeble attempt to be remotely pleasant, she did end the visit on a bit subtler of notes. Wowzers...definitely won't be back. Why risk it?! read more

I can't say enough about this place. I ordered flowers online mostly, but after I forgot to get some for the Thanksgiving table this year, I stopped into Victor's Flowers and Gifts. They were helpful, clear about costs and listened to what it was I needed. When I returned the next morning for the flowers, the florists were there, working despite the awful snowstorm brewing outside so that everyone had their flowers for Thanksgiving. Let me tell you, I was blown away by the taste, class and beauty of my flowers. They made me the hero walking into my girl's place. Her parents were thrilled with them. The designers at Victor's are among the most talented I've ever seen. Excellent experience and I will be back. TOP NOTCH service, even during a blizzard. Highly recommended. I don't usually like to give a negative rating to local business but in this case I hope it helps them review their ways of dealing with customers for a better outcome...I have used Victor's Florist for years, over 20 years actually, ordering from them, and receiving flowers from them as gifts. My adult daughter ordered Valentine Flowers to be delivered of course on Valentines day, order was never received. We were both told it had been left on my porch, no attempt at door bell nor phone call...just left. I was home all day and there was nothing left. Both myself and my daughter asked that she just be refunded the $, the owner agreed, but after several phone calls and days passed, no refund. My daughter contacted her CC for refund and filed a claim, then the owner of the florist called to argue why she had done that, and in fact denied that my daughter had even paid for the order since she could not find it to credit her. A good customer, long history with the florist, but whatever recent changes in the business have caused very poor customer service and I can no longer recommend. Unfortunate outcome of a situation that could have been easily fixed. read more

Two poor experiences lead to to say - try any other place first. In December I went to the florist in person with a photo of what I wanted for my mother-in-law's 90th birthday. It was over a week before the event. The person taking the order took a copy of the photo I had brought along, asked questions and made notes of the details and did not suggest there would be any problem creating the requested arrangement. The day of the event when I returned to pick-up the arrangement it was not what I ordered, they didn't have the requested flowers, and didn't give me a discount as partial compensation for their failure to perform. At that point I decided I wouldn't return. A few days ago I received a birthday arrangement from them, ordered by an out-of-town friend. 75% of the roses were dead in three days. When I called them about refreshing the bouquet or giving my friend a discount they wouldn't stand by their product. The only recourse offered was for me to embarrass my friend by reporting their poor quality to her so she could pursue it through her florist. read more

I ordered flowers for my wife using 1-800-flowers.com. My order was placed in the morning as 'Same Day Service'. The flower assignment was unfortunately given to Victor's Flowers in Dover, NJ. They called my wife at 1:50pm (mind you they were supposed to be a surprise) to "confirm the address." With the surprise now ruined, she called back around 3pm and was told the flowers would only be delivered tomorrow. This is not acceptable, especially since I paid a premium for the same day delivery and (according to 1800flowers.com) delivery was supposed to be until 7pm. I called Victor's Florist to question why they were not able to deliver same day. They basically indicated that based on the deliveries that day, the locations - to drive to my location (15 miles away in E. Hanover) would not be possible. They also told me (with extreme attitude) that I ".... probably overpaid anyway using 1800flowers.com and should have ordered with them directly." If you signed up with the service of 1800flowers.com to gain more business-- then you should be able to provide your services under those terms. Don't tell me how / what / where to order. I cancelled my order, and got a refund. Maybe Victor's Flowers is better with direct orders. However the store representative was extremely rude and out of line when I had called about my order. read more

Very professional! I placed an order for a fruit basket just a few day before Christmas. The lady informed me that they could not get order out for Christmas at the risk of not making a sale. I still placed the order. I was surprised to know that hey jumped thru hoops to get gift out on time. Basket was beautiful, bit pricey but worth it. read more

After a lot of research, I went to Victor's Flowers and asked how much my wedding bouquet would be (I mention a couple of orchids and a few roses) The Owner, Meredith (I think) gave me an estimate of $100 or so and said that she would work with my budget. When I came back to order my bouquet, the price wen up to $175, she did not asked me about my budget simply gave me the price. I thought, that my bouquet was going to be amazing and so I did not say anything about the price. When I got my bouquet, still in the box with all the paper and such, picked up on the morning of my wedding, the flowers were macerated at best and they look not fresh at all. As a matter of fact a couple the flowers had petals so badly damage that I had to pull them off or try to trim them with scissors. All i have to say that this place did not deliver in quality and regretted dearly to have order my flowers for my wedding here. read more

I ordered flowers for a birthday. Needless to say I've placed orders with them for years and have never had an issue with them. The flowers arrived the next day by this time the birthday was over! I addressed this with them directly and they LIED telling me they attempted to call. Unfortunately, they did not realize I gave them my phone number to contact and a call was never made! I had my wedding scheduled for Friday April 22 and they put the order through for Saturday April 23. Even though, the paper work had it for the correct date. I did not get my bouquet for the wedding. What I received was my money and an apology. I would have rather receive a simple bouquet than the apology.
