This review is for Victory Dental Center for Kids, which operates under the same heading of Victory Dental Center. Recently had an accident with my daughter who needed to have her front tooth fixed emergency stat. I called up Victory Dental for Kids and spoke with the receptionist, who was very professional and understanding. She asked how soon I could get my daughter in and they would take care of the tooth. When we arrived at the dental office, the receptionist gathered all the necessary information and told us the dentist would be with us shortly. A few moments later the dentist came out, gave us a detailed consultation and provided us with our options. Within a short amount of time, the dentist came out with my daughter, explained everything that happened and she was back to normal. We scheduled a follow up appointment for two weeks later and we'll go from there. Overall, minus the tooth accident, this was a great experience; the entire staff was very accommodating, understanding and informative. I would highly recommend Victory Dental for Kids. read more

BEWARE, go here for basic services only (cleaning, filling, etc). Concerning that this practice, specifically, the business owner advises of problems that are not actually there. Dr McDonald advised multiple fillings (7) throughout every part of my mouth and a deep cleaning, indicative of the early stages of periodontal disease. There was no actual need for either. Had I not been vigilant about my dental care my entire life, I may not have questioned the recommendation. However, I am retired military and although we have our problems what never faltered is health and dental care for active duty specifically. Although retired, I'm at the dentist every 6 months, give or take without fail. Not only were these services recommended but the good Dr never advised me personally, the receptionist was given the task to inform me IN the waiting room on the day of a scheduled appointment for a cleaning. I demanded that a dentist or at least a hygienist brief me. To their credit, that's exactly what happened. It was determined after an exam and X-rays that neither service was required. I received a cleaning and was on my way. I scheduled a call with Dr McDonald before departure for clarity and although traveling for work, I made it a priority and put it on my calendar. He NEVER called! The Dr there on Saturdays and Sierra were an amazing team. Not because they told me what I wanted to hear but because they spoke to me not AT me and told me the truth. However, as for the owner, there is gross negligence and a pattern of up selling for insurance claims and out-of-pocket costs. As the mom of a physician, I am appalled. BEWARE! read more

I had my 2nd appointment yesterday with Dr. McDonald and his staff. First, you should know that I am deathly afraid of dentist. But since my first visit at the office , I was impressed and everyone put me at ease. The procedure yesterday was excellent; no pain and nothing like I expected. Horrible dentist!!! Dr McDonald is very personable but I am sorry to say he has failed me and my family horribly. He believes he can do dentistry work that is far beyond his capacity. Our daughter had wisdom teeth that needed removed. Although we thought a good idea to go to an oral surgeon he repeatedly said it was not necessary. The extraction was a horrible experience for our daughter. She was incredible pain throughout the process. They told me she was being dramatic. Upon her first visit to our new dentist where they did X-rays the new dentist found that he actually broke one of the wisdom teeth off. Don't even get me started on my situation with my dental items. I went in yesterday because it is near my office. I asked to get a filling redo because it fell out. Though the staff was friendly and helpful but I was not happy with the 300 dollars bill just for a small filling. I am a foreigner i wasnt sure what was the dental cost in the states so i didnt question about it. When my colleague told me it should be around 150 and could ask for discount if paid in cash....Felt like being totally ripped off. We were initially drawn to the practice because of the hours they are open. We've been going for about 4 years now with all 3 kids. The staff is always so friendly and great with the kids. Dr. McDonald always greets us by name and remembers to ask about the family/jobs etc. He really forms a personal connection which is nice. Professionally we've always been happy. He and the staff are always very responsive to any concerns. He's always telling us about classes he's taking so I know staying on top of new technology and up to date in his field is important as well. Billing is always SO easy and they've made changes since we started that make it even easier. No unexpected bills in the mail after your visit. Appointments are easy to get and always convenient....especially easy to work around busy work and school schedules. There is a new "kids side" of the building. It's beautiful. My husband took the kids to their last cleaning. But on my own last visit, I was able to meet the dentist on that side. She was very friendly and I liked that she took a minute to introduce herself and say hi. That stuff makes a huge difference! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! They submitted a claim to my insurance company and the insurance has paid and I have a credit based on my benefits, but they are saying that there is not a credit and are keeping almost $200 that I overpaid for a crown for my daughter. The assistant manager on the pediatrics side is not helpful at all. We have been going there for years and had no problems until now and they are refusing to accept the insurance discount and way the claim processed. (I work for the insurance company) read more

Took my three children today 11,6 & 4 who all have been to the dentist multiple times in NJ The young girl came out and asked for my two oldest to come back I got up to go with them (since it was their first time there) she informed me that I was not needed and they would be right back after their X-rays About 20 min later the girl came out asking for me because my 6 year old daughter was having a hard time with the X-rays and was crying for me so In order to get the X-rays they had to force her mouth open and hold the X-ray thing In her mouth So To continue the cleaning I should go back to calm her down As I walked back my 6 year old was in hysterics!! I finally talked her down so she could get her cleaning and after her cleaning the same girl had to floss her teeth, my daughter said ouch that hurts The girl said "it doesn't hurt, do you want to have to get needles and shots? Because if you don't let me floss that's what happens" I told the Dentist and sh said she will talk to her about it But now my child who has been going to the dentist since she was 1 or 2 is now scared to death I hate that I had to give 1 star read more

Good for cleanings. They did a great job with that for me and my daughter. Not good for anything more serious. Went for wisdom tooth extraction and filling, didn't check me before starting. Went I said ow, the dentist acted frustrated. Did not give any instructions or information at the consultation. I had to call for info...and still was not told to be sure to eat prior to the visit due to novacaine making you dizzy. Then when it did make me dizzy, the assistant had no idea why. Lady at front desk gave incorrect medical advice on a few occasions. The dentist was very rushed. Good example of the left hand doesn't know what the right hands doing. I feel wasn't taken seriously because I admitted to being nervous about the procedure. read more

Hands down the best dental office I've ever been treated with. The staff is very friendly and Dr. McDonald is an awesome dentist. The atmosphere is very peaceful and refreshing to be in while waiting. There are televisions in every treatment room which is a big plus. Also, Victory Dental Center conducts many community outreach events throughout the year. This is just an overall awesome place to receive dental treatment. Although Dr. Mcdonald Himself is very personable, their office is anything but professional. Without going into full detail ( please see BBB complaint and Attached Documentation) It has been over 3 months since they have failed to pay my business of what has been court ordered that they owe. When given one last opportunity I received a threat from his wife Tashia Mcdonald. My only hope to to warn other businesses and potential clients of their business practices and appalling communication. read more

Went to Victory Dental to see about having an implant on my front tooth. They checked my insurance and came back with a figure I could afford. I put down a deposit and was given novacaine to pull the front tooth and was told they didn't have the right implant and come back tomorrow and they would pull the tooth and put the implant in. Meanwhile I put down more money so they could give me a flipper to wear while I was healing from the implant. So, the next day after waiting in the chair for 65 minutes for the doctor after being told he would be in in a few minutes without an I'm sorry to keep you waiting, like my time wasn't important, the doctor pulled my tooth and then said I was done. I asked him if he put the implant in and he said my husband said no. Come to find out he told me and my husband it would be another $2700 dollars. I was so mad that I went to him after telling me one price and then changing it. I would never have had the tooth pulled. I definitely don't recommend Victory Dental. read more

Great place. The staff is super friendly and the doctor is gentle and knowledgeable. Unlike other dental offices I have visited before this office didn't charge me for my cleaning even when my insurance didn't pick up the entire bill. That helps a lot when you have a family of six! They just recently opened a children's practice right next door so I am able to get my dental work done while my children get seen. Great place. read more

Went to this office as it is close to my home. 1st visit was fine. X-rays done the old fashioned way not panoramic. Had not been to the dentist in many years and knew I needed quite a bit of work. During my visit I met with the dentist for approximately 5 minutes to briefly tell me what needed to be done and for him to let me know it looks as though I have sleep apnea based on some symptoms. I Was scheduled for a deep cleaning with sedation as my fears and the pain are what has kept me away. The day before the procedure I was given two bottles by the dentist with two separate medications. Instructions were hand written by the dentist for meds to be taken "the night before" and in "the morning 1 hour prior to procedure". Now being a registered nurse and knowing I have sleep apnea the prescribed medication for the night before I felt was way too much and with sleep apnea may have presented a problem. Long story short, poor communication no acceptance of responsibility by the dentist and a condescending apology to say the least for an inaccurate diagnosis on my paperwork as well. Sorry but won't be back. If you have work done make sure someone looks over what is going to happen to ensure your safety. read more
