We brought my vehicle to our usual mechanic, and were told the engine needed to be replaced. After digesting that news (and pricing out the cost), we brought it to Reliable for a second opinion. Rich immediately expressed his doubt of their prognosis based on the info we shared (what we were told by the previous shop) and a quick test drive. He explained why he didn't feel replacing the engine was needed, and what he suspected the issue was. After digging into the engine, his prognosis was confirmed. I brought my car in there running with the electrical components working and while being serviced it when it's start and they couldn't figure out the electrical problem although they tried everything they say and they put a starter in the car for an extra $1,400 when the whole time the trunk was full of a foot of water and the electrical and housing was underwater and they never even knew it I drove the car away with an aquarium in the trunk and the bill was $4,200 for a starter I didn't need and nothing fixed except an ignition switch which wasn't the root of the problem they are not reliable they are anything but they we are a bunch of hacks and criminals read more

Just wanted to give Reliable Auto Care a shout out. I have an older minivan and have an out of state trip planned so wanted to get it checked over before leaving. Called them and they gave some recommendations on what they could do to make it safe prior to our departure. they checked over the vehicle and then called me to explain everything. As a female I'm use to being treated like an idiot when it comes to cars but this time I didn't feel that way at all. They treated me with respect and never tried to sell me anything I didn't need. They answered all my questions and had my car ready to go within a few hours. I will now be switching over all my car maintenance and repairs to this shop! I knew this business existed for years before I became a customer. It's right on the corner on HWY55 by CUB and Super America. My car was in a crash and the towtruck towed it to Reliable. They took care of my car, repairing it with salvaged parts to get it running again. Great people. I talked with my neighbor about the place and she said "Oh, Dave (owner), he's a good guy. We've been going there for 15 years." We've been going to Reliable for all our auto needs ever since and they've always done well by us. When my brakes were grinding and I was convinced they needed replacement, Reliable did a focused inspection and said the brakes were fine, nothing wrong, and saved me a lot of money by doing so. They could have taken advantage of my "know-it-all" attitude but they didn't. They won me for good at that point. They almost always get us in right away and are professional. read more
