I was able to set up a time through a call and the person showed up on time. A shout out to Mike for being a good sport and awesome person. Fantastic communication before loading my car. My car was loaded within 20-25 minutes and to the shop it went. I was able to ride with Mike to the shop of my choice. He dropped me off along with the car and road off into the sunset. A few minutes later, I received a call for payment . A simple check out process! I went out about 12-13 miles which cost me $80. Not bad at all! I've spent more money before. I highly recommend this place! Everyone was really nice. Kindness goes a long way.

Tri-City Auto Warning: Dishonest Service, Scammers, Voided Refund, and Vehicle Put at Risk"…read more It's rare that I leave negative reviews, but my experience with Tri City Auto was a complete nightmare. They charged me $773 for faulty work based on a diagnostic they never properly performed. I was told my Q3 Audi needed a thermostat--only to later learn it didn't. The part was ordered incorrectly three times, delaying repairs. I was then told by Jennifer McCormick, I should be grateful she did not charge me for their mistake because it cost them money. My car was initially promised back the same day but wasn't returned for two days. The day after pickup, my car wouldn't start, I was able to get a battery jump, to make it to Jiffy Lube (less than 1 mile away) for a battery replacement. Within minutes the dashboard lights lit up, smoke billowed from under the hood and fluid poured from the bottom of the car. Jiffy Lube discovered the intake hose hadn't been properly reconnected--posing serious safety risks to me and others as I was about to travel out of town. Tri City agreed to tow the car back and offered a loaner, which was the only positive experience. They eventually admitted the thermostat wasn't ever needed and said they'd issue a refund. The owner can also express sometimes things just happen and things can go wrong. However, the refund receipt was vague, and when I asked for clarification, shop supervisor Jennifer McCormick responded unprofessionally--handwriting unclear notes on the receipt. I followed up via text, simply requesting confirmation of the refund details. Within minutes, Ken McCormick, the owner, called me with a hostile tone, stating, "I already told you what the refund was for." Despite having printed documentation and screenshots of the initial refund, Ken and the Tri-City team ultimately reversed and voided the promised refund transaction. I had to take my car to another repair shop, where the technicians expressed serious concerns about the work Tri-City performed. All dashboard lights are now on, and there appears to be additional electrical damage. I've already lost over a week of access in my car, now using LYFT and incurred more than $1k in additional repair costs--potentially even more. Tri City Auto is dishonest, unethical, and extends dangerous. I would never trust them with my vehicle again and strongly advise others to avoid this shop. what they are doing to people is so unfair and I would not wish this treatment on anyone.

This past week our family experienced just that...a life changing event in the Raleigh area. Once we got the call, we were forced to make lots of decisions really quickly. Loose ends needed to be tied up One of the things that had to be taken care of was to make contact with the tow company involved with taking possession of the vehicle after the incident. The State Patrol's office gave me the number to Canipes Towing & Recovery. From the moment Mr. Canipe answered the phone, I felt at ease and very comfortable with how things needed to be handled. He was professional & courteous and he was empathetic about our unique situation What could have been a very stressful process ended up being literally a turn-key experience. He and his wife made everything so easy for me. After working out the details of how we needed to proceed. We agreed on a price. When the time came we met him to pick up the vehicle. He kept his word about everything he had told me. I walked away feeling so thankful that The Lord had allowed his company to be the one we encountered in the middle of a horrible, frightening situation. The company claimed that my vehicle registration had expired, which was incorrect. According to official records from the North Carolina DMV, my vehicle registration is valid until October 31, 2026. I renewed the registration on December 3, 2025 and placed the registration sticker on my license plate that same day. When I arrived to retrieve my vehicle, the sticker was missing from my license plate for unknown reasons. I offered to show DMV documentation confirming that my registration was still valid, but the employee refused to review the documentation and required me to pay $260 before releasing my vehicle. My vehicle had a valid resident parking permit and was parked in the designated resident parking area. The posted towing sign only states that illegally parked or unauthorized vehicles will be towed. This towing decision appears to have been made without properly verifying the vehicle's registration status through official DMV records. My vehicle registration is valid according to the North Carolina DMV. Requiring payment to retrieve a legally registered vehicle under these circumstances raises serious concerns about the accuracy of the towing decision and the company's verification practices.
