I recently had the pleasure of visiting Vida Wellness for a surgical procedure with Dr Quiroz . The facilities were incredible. Everything at Vida Wellness is state of the art. Their beautiful 5 story building is impeccably clean, modern and located just a few minutes south of the US/Mexican border. Their medical facilities and surgical units rival any modern hospital in the US. Upon my initial inquiry about a consultation, I was contacted by Mariana, the patient specialist, who answered all my initial questions and put me in touch with Denisse, Dr Quiroz' coordinator. Denisse made sure all my appointments were set up and was in constant contact regarding scheduling and preparation for my surgery. Both Mariana and Denisse were extremely helpful in making sure everything went smoothly. Dr Quiroz' daughter, Karina, who is the social media specialist, also assisted in helping ease my fears by showing me before and after pictures of other patients that had similar surgeries with excellent results. She also came by after my surgery to make sure I was ok and brought another patient with her who had the same surgery a few days before in order to reassure me that recovery would be quick. It is evident that Karina loves what she does and that the patients that contact her through social media love and trust her. My surgery was with Dr Quiroz who is a master at what he does. Dr Quiroz is US trained and holds all US plastic surgeon accreditations. His bedside manner is like no other and he will patiently listen to all of your concerns while being honest and letting you know exactly what type of surgery is best for you. He is methodical and highly skilled, which leads to a quicker recovery time with minimal scarring and excellent results. I trusted him 100% and followed his suggestions and instructions. Just 3 weeks post- surgery, I can say I am extremely happy with the results! I also met with Dr De La Fuente for a dermatological consultation. He was friendly, knowledgeable and the treatments he suggested are already making a difference on my skin. The minute you walk into the newly opened spa you feel relaxed. The receptionist, Ana, is very sweet and immediately offered me refreshments. I enjoyed a hydra-facial with Luciana, who was extremely skilled and friendly. My face felt amazing afterward. After surgery, Luciana also performed lymphatic massages which helped speed up the healing process. She was gentle and cautious in order to make sure I didn't feel any pain. Luciana was the best! I also had a wrap massage with Marisela that was probably the best massage of my life. This scrub massage gets rid of the toxins in your skin and leaves it feeling soft and clean. Marisela was amazing! The hospital portion of Vida Wellness rivals any US hospital. I was expertly prepped for surgery by their friendly nurses and woke up in a hospital recovery room where I spent the night. The nurses were available 24/7 and appeared at the push of a button for anything I needed. One of the perks of Vida Wellness is their state of the art recovery boutique. After my surgery, it was wonderful to be taken care of 24/7 by trained nurses who would bring me my medications, meals, snacks and assist with anything I needed. The food was delicious and coffee, tea and snacks were available 24 hours a day at their little cafe area. There is also an outside garden where you can sit and relax. Oh and did I mention the free Netflix on TV? I felt like I was on vacation. I highly recommend staying in the recovery boutique after your surgery. Vida Wellness also offers transportation to/from your US location. They can pick you up at the San Diego airport or San Diego area hotel/location. Both of their drivers - Santos and Jorge - were friendly and punctual. For anyone that is hesitant about surgery in Mexico, I say don't think twice about it. I had a rhinoplasty done with dr Juan Fuentes. I was so nervous day of surgery but the staff made me feel more comfortable! Everyone was super nice and walked me through every step. The anesthesiologist was very nice as well and calmed my nerves down. Dr bucios coordinator has been a great help answering all my questions and responds almost immediately. When it came to my cast removal I was also very nervous but Dr Juan Fuentes was so comforting and was so gentle and tried not to hurt me. He explained every step. He is truly the best! Do yourself a favor!! Learn from my mistakes . I should have read more of The reviews before I paid $$ for my surgery. Let's start with the STAFFF ADRINA -coordinator is simply the WORST. My first visit should have been my red flag. She placed me in a room and went home . After the doctor seen me he said Adriana will be right back. Well, lights went off and no one was in ... then I called and spoke to Jahere I expressed my discontent and as the others reviews stated: they just brushed it under the rug. I was the one calling ,emailing and Adriana was no where to be helpful . One day prior to my surgery she said she would be emailing txt or call me with instructions . Well! Guess what NO CALL no instructions . So, I emailed her letting her know I never received her emails or calls. In all fairness to the Dr. Castaneda. He is amazing and did great work . The issue is poor management. I even tried contacting Denise their direct supervisor and you guessed right. No call back . It's such a shame that the office is horrible and the Dr's are GREAT!! Very disappointed with the consultation and overall experience. After the consultation, I reached out several times and no response! Not even the professional courtesy of simple communication. Lilia was communicative and aggressive in getting you in to the door for a consult, but after that will ghost you and not respond to messages. Very disappointing and would definitely not recommend to anyone in wasting your time. There's plenty of other doctors out there that value business and care about their work, patients and practice! They should at least ensure their team responds to messages and not just rudely ignore people. read more

Dr Quiros did my neck lift this is post 6months when i told him It was this was not good.He said it looked great I did have 2bands prior but I still have one. Look up botched neck lift It looks just like mine. Also I have a lower eye lift and other than the cuts under my eyes I see no difference at all. Again he dismissed me when i said something and I can't show the picture but the worst is he put an indent on one side of my face. Not one person noticed I did anything after 14,000 US. read more

Where do I begin? I bought a package at Vida and I am very happy with Marisela but I am not happy with the way they're handling The accident on my vehicle. I come every 4 to 5 weeks and I do drive my vehicle to Vida. I always valet my car but on July 5 the valet guy blocked another vehicle and that vehicle hit my car while my vehicle was parked but it was blocking the other client vehicle. When that patient was backing up he didn't see or realize that his vehicle was blocked by my vehicle that the valet guy parked. I had no idea how he parks the vehicles and it wasn't my fault I'm not the one to park the vehicle. I never did receive my service because I had to deal with an adjuster and it was determined that that other patient was at fault and I was given a paper receipt to have my vehicle fixed in Tijuana. That same day of the accident I was checking out of my hotel and my vehicle was ransacked and anything that they can take it took a long with that receipt. I had no idea it would be difficult for Vida to help with getting my car fixed. I don't have the client name everything was handled through the adjuster. This was my first accident in Mexico and I don't plan on driving my vehicle in Tijuana again. I have two more sessions that I paid for and I don't plan on returning I am very unsatisfied that they cannot help me with retrieving or contacting the insurance so my vehicle could get fixed. In the states they want to charge me $1700 for a Lexus RX 350. I don't feel I should be paying for the damage, I would be happy if the vehicle would be fixed in Tijuana Please keep in mind if you drive and use the valet for your vehicle that it something should wrong you're on your own. I've been patient with them trying to resolve this matter every time I come for my appointments but today is my last try and I would not recommend anyone to Vida. I am writing this review as in stuck in traffic trying to cross back to the USA. Not worth the visit I drive from Los Angeles to Tijuana. Very unhappy client! read more

I am completely obsessed with my results!! I highly recommend Vida!! Not only was it half the price that it would cost on the states, but the care I received, all the up to date equipment and everyone is so nice! Horrified. I had three procedures done with Dr. Quiroz at Vida wellness. Brow lift, chin lipo and breast tissue removal from my armpit. We discussed doing a endoscopic brow lift.I'm 29, I didn't want anything super invasive and I was told that endoscopic brow lifts and the chin lipo were minimal invasive and I'd only need 2 weeks of down time. Exactly what I was looking for considering it was my first time doing plastic surgery. Imagine my surprise a week after surgery when I realize that my head was sliced open from ear to ear without my consent. When it came to the armpit he told me we would have to make an incision to remove it. Never would I thought in order to remove a little extra tissue he would open up my armpit completely. I wish I would have listened to my intuition and never done these procedures with him at Vida wellness. I contacted Denisse his assistant and coordinator and she assured me that she would have the Dr.Quiroz call me. That was days ago and nothing. I've attached pictures of my sutures and you can see in the pictures where I'm already starting to lose my hair around the stitches. When I did research on coronal brow lifts it said that 20% of people suffer from hair loss. It also elevates your forehead and I was wondering why my forehead looked so big. If you research it you will also see how many other risks are associated with this type of procedure. I will FOREVER have 3 major scars on my body, I was never made aware and I never consented to have such invasive procedures. read more

I got a quote from the coordinators for Dr.Quiroz and once I got to there facility and it was time to pay in full after I paid the deposit they added on more FEES that wasn't included in the quote after I specifically asked them if that's all I had to pay in the quote. Once I got home all the coordinators started ignoring my calls, and emails just kept giving me the runaround DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY im currently filing a despute with my bank because of their negligence.The staff and coordinators are very unorganized I will be doing business with a different company I had to google but are actually are truthful with me and answer my questions. I think they need to hire better coordinators but other then that STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS AS YOU CAN. I cant say enough great things about the Bariatrics team at VIDA Wellness and Beauty. I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about going to Tijuana Mexico for my Gastric Sleeve procedure, but I was so wrong! From beginning to end, I was reassured that I was safe, and in great hands. The facility is beautiful with state of the art equipment, the bariatric surgeons are experts in their field, and the staff is warm and caring, you just cant get this kind of attention in the States anymore. VIDA was also one of the first facilities in Mexico to get a AAAASF certification, an international recognition for safety and sanitation, which they constantly have to comply with, this reassured me as well. VIDA also helped me get over my fear of Anastasia. In the past I would get sick and vomit after surgeries, VIDAs anesthesiologist was amazing, she listened to my concerns and said, "I got you", and she did. VIDA is the real DEAL! VIDAs pictures and videos are true to life, what you see is what you get. I am happy, healthy, and I got my groove back! My mother recently underwent the Bariatrics surgery in July. She has since lost about 50lbs and feels (and looks) amazing. I am 5 days post-op. I had liposuction on my flanks and inner thighs with abdominal etching. Dr. Castaneda was my surgeon, and Adriana was my patient coordinator. The entire process was lovely. I have had previous work done in the U.S. and felt comfortable going to VIDA after doing extensive research. After my consultation, I discovered a family friend actually knew Dr. Castaneda and had high praises as her sisters have had work done by him before. I did my consultation over Zoom and felt confident Dr. Castaneda knew what I wanted. A few weeks before surgery, I decided I wanted my legs done as well, and that was not an issue. During my pre-op, Dr. Castaneda was professional and honest. I never commit to a Dr. that is willing to say yes to anything and everything. I told him I felt my legs were thick, and he agreed that small areas would make a difference, but my legs didn't carry a lot of fat. He also pointed out that my skin was nice and firm on the back of my legs, and trying to do anything there would not look good when it came to proportion and contour. The incisions are small, and he hid most of them in my tattoos (not sloppy and so amazing). I am still swollen with minimal bruising, but I can already see a huge difference in my legs and waistline. Adriana nor the other staff ever seemed annoyed at my many questions and e-mails. Instead, she was communicative and patient. She recommended I stay at the recovery boutique, and I am so glad I did. I wish I stayed there longer just for comfort and their amazing staff. Covid-19 prevention was top of the line as well. I was recommended to Dr. Bucio by a friend who had done a complete "mommy makeover" with him, I met him briefly when I picked her up before covid and was very impressed with his bedside manners. For years I had wanted a rhinoplasty and never really went forward with it. The time came where my sister wanted her own procedure and seeing the results of our friend she went with him. Again Dr. Bucio exceeded our expectations, after my sister one of my best friends asked about him and went in for a consultation she had the "mommy makeover" again she was happy. So I decided that it was my turn and went for a consultation. I met Dr. Bucio along with Alejandro his head nurse. Both were very very knowledgeable and honest about my expectations and results I would get from the surgery. I had the surgery a couple weeks later. From the beginning everything was awesome. Vida Wellness is certainly a first class facility. I had been to a couple consultations in Beverly Hills and LA and nothing compared to this hospital. The safety precautions they take against COVID are awesome. Now, its kind of a daze the morning of the surgery but everyone involved was amazing Dr Bucio, Alejandro, Anesthesiologist, Cardiologist, I was in the best hands and off I went to sleep. A couple hours later I woke up to Nurse Luz she was amazing! she helped me get water, asked how I was, and she treated me with such compassion helping me get dressed. She took me off the the recovery lounge got me a blanket and sat me down. A couple minutes later Dr. Bucio walked in to check on me and explained to me everything about how the procedure went and explained all my medication I was to take. Luz wheeled me out to my family and off I went. Dr. Bucio has a magical touch my recovery was easy and almost painless. When I went back for my stitches and plugs to be removed Alejandro took off the stitches he was very gentle he put on my cast and I had to go back after 7 days. I am now 3 months post op and already happy with my results, a rhinoplasty is a full year to see the final result and I can't wait. Went here for a consultation for a tattoo removal on my shoulder. I had already had one session done at a dermatologist in San Diego who uses a Pico Lazer. I had great results and figured I could get my remaining treatments done for less here at Vida. The Dr came in and said I would need about 10 sessions using Qswitch Lazer (not as effective as Pico) to have it removed (at a cost of $300 per session) that is $3000!! In Tijuana! That's insane. It is less expensive to have it removed in San Diego using newer technology. The staff and facility looked great, but I can't recommend this place based on their crazy prices (probably because they knew I was from San Diego based on the info I had to provide them) read more

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Quiroz! I had a lower body lift in 2006 and 12 years later, it still looks great. The scar is practically invisible/hairline which is fantastic. I recently went back to discuss more procedures (arm lift, thigh lift, upper body lift/crescent lift and lipo on hips) and he was as friendly and knowledgeable as ever and greeted me like we were old friends! A great thing is Dr Q and his team don't try to get you all the "extras" (like selling Botox if you're there for an arm lift if you don't ask for it)- he truly takes the time to discuss your areas of concern and answer questions. You won't feel rushed at all during the consultation. When I had my last surgery with him, he was great with follow-up, including calling after surgery to check on me. When I became ready to schedule my next operations, there was no other surgeon I would have considered going to-- and I even have an uncle who is a plastic surgeon! Dr Quiroz is professional, kind and does great work. His staff is wonderful also! I have spoken with Ana who has been great. I met with Dennise when I came in and she was so kind and took her time. She is so sweet and never once did I feel rushed or like she was trying to close a sale. I am excited for the recovery center, also! Pearla was my nurse for my last surgery so I know I'm in great hands with her in charge of my comfort as I recover. I can't express how much I am looking forward to my operations in December and how much confidence I have in Dr Q and his team. I've spoken to a few people about my surgeries coming up and each one has asked me for the information and I gladly share it because I know they'll be in great hands. And cost? You can't beat it! The costs of the surgery given don't have "hidden" fees like other places. You can finance if needed and the office staff is very knowledgeable of that information. The price is incredibly reasonable. How about safety? Crossing the border for surgery can sound like a scary experience if you've never done it but there is no team I would more with me life than this group under Dr Q's guidance. The office is in a clean, safe area and they will transport you to/from the border if you aren't comfortable driving yourself. Overall, if you're considering anything from a facial to a body lift, there is no where I would recommend more!! read more

Where do I start . I have to admit the beginning of my experience was great , getting everything set up for surgery and traveling for surgery and even surgery day , everything was fine . I got lipo on my back and a tummy tuck and a BBL by Dr. Casteneda, I will say I'm happy with the tummy tuck but the lipo on my back basically didn't work or they didn't do it correctly because I still have the same bulges on my back that I did before and they left the top part of my back without any lipo so I have 2 big bulges next to my breasts that does not look good and the absolute worst part is my BBL it's very lumpy and the faja they gave me to wear ( I did research normally drs cut out the butt when you get a bbl so the faja doesn't hurt your results and they did not ) , so the bottom part of the faja that's open to allow you to use the bathroom left a huge very distinct indent in the bottom part of my buttcheeks and it looks really really bad . I hate it . And when I contacted Adriana back to tell her how I feel about this all they do is give excuses and honestly barely respond , weeks could go by without any response from her and now they just sent me a new quote to fix what they messed up in the first place and I paid 10,000 in the first place , they want $7000 MORE !!!! To fix what THEY messed up on !!! Don't go here because they will not help you fix THEIR mistakes on your body and it's just not worth it . Came in to see Dr. Fuentes again for my second botox appointment (my first appointment at VIDA was a few months ago) and I will keep coming back! I follow VIDA on social media and saw that they were offering a promo on botox for the month of November making it even more affordable! I am so impressed by the facilities at VIDA and more importantly by the expertise of Dr. Fuentes. Though the appointment goes by quickly I feel like he is very thorough in examining the lines in my forehead and he studies the way my facial muscles move before each injection. You can tell he also cares that you are happy with the results and asks and listens before hand if you prefer to have some natural movement when making expressions. I was so happy with my results after my first appointment that I have been telling all my friends to come here! I've only received botox but saw they also offer fillers, other injectables, laser hair removal, and many other treatments. The girls at the front desk were again so welcoming and friendly and it was so easy to make my appointment by calling in. For my last appointment I was picked up by the shuttle on the San Diego side of the border which was super easy, but this time Ana at the front desk arranged a medical pass for me because I wanted to drive myself. The pass has directions printed right on it and I was able to drive through the medical lane to get across the border to San Diego in about 15 minutes. I recommend anyone to visit VIDA in Tijuana for all of their beauty needs. The staff is so helpful in making your visit convenient and easy and you get treated like a princess. The facility is nicer and cleaner than many other medspas I've visited in San Diego and LA- and at VIDA your treatments are done by a board certified surgeon as opposed to a nurse. He pays careful attention to his patient's desired results/concerns & executes that vision to perfection with superior craftsmanship. I was recommended to Dr Quiroz by a close friend in Orange County, California who assured me that not only was Dr Quiroz the best at what he does, but that having surgery in Tijuana was safe, easily accessible, cost-effective & offered cutting-edge European products not yet offered in the US. Dr Quiroz has performed my breast augmentation surgery twice 13 years apart... my 1st surgery was silicone implants was in 2006 & the final results far exceeded my expectations to perfection. So much so, that I delayed replacing my silicone implants after 10 years anxious that now in my 40s my breasts wouldn't come out as perfect the second time around. Then finally this year in 2019, Dr. Quiroz performed my 2nd breast augmentation surgery (capsulectomy removal & upgrade to newer silicone product). I am absolutely amazed at the results!!... My breasts are even more perfect now than before, which I did not think was even possible!! The tiny old areola half-moon scars are gone & new areola scars are barely visible after 2 months (& will probably be invisible in a year), the new silicone implants look & feel even more natural, & most importantly the shape & size is the same as before! I had the pleasure of having Dr. Alejandro Quiroz and his very professional staff as my surgery team. I had a great experience from the very first day, to all of my follow-up consultations. Dr. Quiroz is very personable and easy to talk to. He made me feel extremely comfortable from the first day I met him. He's extremely knowledgeable about the plastic surgery procedures he performed. All of his staff, from his coordinator (Denisse) to his nurses (such as Jonathan) and assisting physician (Dr. Sanchez) were very helpful through out the whole process. The facility is nice and modern and really clean. I stayed in the recovery house that is also in the same building, which made it extremely helpful when I needed to visit with my surgeon or his staff for questions and check ups. Wow! Very apprehensive to go to Tijuana for surgery. I cannot say enough about this clinic. I'm 60 years old and have been to a lot of clinics and hospitals for various procedures in the United States. To include Vanderbilt. From the moment I walked into Vita Clinic, CosMed, I felt a strong since of comfort. Dr Del Fuentes and Dr Quiroz are second to none. Dr Del Fuentes performed some skin procedures for my sun damaged skin. Out come was amazing. I am 3 weeks POST OP from a lower facelift, neck lift and C02 laser procedures performed by Dr Quiroz. He exceeded my all my expectations. I told him I wanted to look like I felt. OMG if I say so myself, I'm absolutely at my best. No more jowls. I don't mind taking a picture or even looking in the mirror. NOW to the recovery Boutique. I have no words to describe the care they provided during my recovery. It was a small Hotel like feel, staffed by Registered nurses. They treated me as if I was the only one in their care. I did not ask for anything special, because they already provided everything you could imagine. Last experience was my Coordinator, Betty. She is amazing. She was the person who coordinates everything from transportation to scheduling all my appointments, and any follow up questions. She again, treated me as if I was her only patient. From a scale from 1 to 5, I give my whole experience a 7. Cannot imagine going anywhere else. I live in Louisville, KY. I am by no means wealthy. I am regular retired person living on a pension. The procedures were not cheap, but affordable. The care was First Class. They are all board certified in the United States. I do not speak Spanish. The entire staff speaks English. The clinic could not have been any more sanitary. They were honest and upfront with me from the beginning, no sugar coating or unrealistic expectations. I am 3 weeks post up and was told by Dr Quiroz that I should expect some numbing over the next few months. I would be fully recovered in 2 to 3 months. YOU GO TO MEXICO FOR YOUR MARGARITAS AND CHIPS , YOU DON'T GO THERE FOR A PLASTIC SURGERY! Unfortunately I realized it to late! Juan Carlos Fuentes performed a surgery on my face in 2016. Damaged my health tremendously. I had complications with saliva duct in a parotid glad in a right side of my face. Went trough emotional, mental and physical pain for a very long time. Had multiple surgeries to get better, I honestly was losing my mind, because saliva was draining into my face, it was a size of a watermelon. All Juan Carlos Fuentes could tell me is put a compress on my face, and come back for check up. Are you insane ? DO YOU THINK I WOULD TRUST YOU TO TOUCH MY FACE AGAIN ? I was writing on Social Media about what happened to me, I wanted other people to be aware of this place, and as soon as COSMED found out about it, the son of a director ALEXANDRO QUIROZ who calls himself ALEX and claims to be also a director of the COSMED was constantly messaging me asking about all of my medical records and harassing me through Facebook. I recently had Gastric Sleeve Surgery at Vida Wellness and Beauty. Can't say enough about how wonderful my experience was. The surgeon Dr. Alejandro Lopez was top notch and an expert in his field. The nurses and staff were very kind and professional. I stayed a few days after the surgery in the Recovery Boutique Hotel which is in the same building. This allowed me to recuperate without having to move to another hotel before traveling back home. There is 24 nurse care and all meals included. The rooms are like hospital rooms but decorated more like a spa. I will be having another procedure in the near future and will definitely be going to Vida for my treatment and recovery.
