This is a video store? I don't think you could tell by reading the reviews. This place has tons of DVDs. I was looking for a 1980's classic movie because the daughter was interested in a certain movie. Redbox didn't have it. I called Video 94 up, and they told me that they had it. I show up a few hours later. I wasn't sure what section the DVD was, I was confident it was not behind the black curtains. What could possibly be behind the curtains? They have any movie that you want. This place looked kind of ghetto. I was afraid to use my credit card to rent the movie for fear that someone would steal my identity, or my credit card number. I caught the vapors! Since I've gotten these vape pens two weeks ago from Video 94 I've quit cigarettes! I've smoked cowboy killers for over 10 years I used to go through a pack every other day so I didn't think it would be easy. No more cherry burns, ashes everywhere, wasted money, or stank breath! I don't even need a lighter anymore .. except for my bong .. cheapest prices in SoCal for vapes and bongs they also carry all the accessories including a menu for tobacco juice. The service might suck because they are so busy renting out videos, but I just yell at them to hurry up they don't mind ;) .. Awesome spot to come run in, get a video, and then get out. They are actually REALLY good with releasing new movies and they have several copies of each one, so we've never had a problem. Plus movies are cheap and you can just drop it off real quick when you're done. Definitely not the safest feeling locale, but it's only about a mile from us, so it's totally convenient, and it's not really all thaaat dangerous; haven't been there once where something happened. Just that they're open late, have video games there for the tech heads, and they have that "special" area as well...ha ha ha. read more

But they have the BEST selection of porn behind their red curtains in town! Yes I said it, of course I watch them for the great storylines and acting...who doesn't? If your dad or uncle is missing at 1 am, they're probably here behind the curtains stocking up on a week's worth of skin flicks behind their wives back.... The other great thing about this place is that they get new DVD releases a week before they're out at other places. How they do it, I have no idea...but they stock them deep, so getting a copy isn't much of a problem. They also sell their extra copies after a few weeks for $10 a pop or 5 DVDs for $40. Rental here runs you a couple of bucks. They also carry a wide selection of foreign, hard to find films, and videogames for every game system out there. Just ask the employee on duty and he'll be more than happy to help you out. The owner of this place is this crazy little Middle Eastern Guy named Dave...don't get him started on any conversations, he'll keep you there all night with his nonsense babbling...just grab your movies, pay, and go. read more

This place was a great place to rent videos especially when it was only the owner working. Also had 3 for 5 rental back then. He is still cool but after he added the smoke shop to his store and new staff it is all going downhill The type of people who go there at times are not the type of people you want to be around with especially at night the staff minus the owner is horrible. I'm mainly reviewing Video 94 for the contents of their hidden smoke shop and not their video selection. I found a hidden gem of a smoke shop in Video 94. They have a multitude of smoking apparatuses such as bongs, pipes, pieces, hookahs, e-cigs, tobacco, cigarettes, and much more. I'm not much of a THC smoker but a friend told me their prices were dirt cheap when it came down to THC glass. They also had vaporizer pens if you want to use wax. As a hookah smoker, I found their selection mediocre. They sold no-name hookah pipes, shisha tobacco brands such as Starbuzz, Layalina, & Al Fakher, which is common in most smoke shops. The prices for hookah-related items were priced competitively and common among smoke shops in the area. The REAL reason I came to Video 94 was to get into the vaping scene. They have decent priced e-cigarettes and it's build your own as well! They carry no-brand e-cig pens as well as perfection pens. What caught my eye is their ViVi Nova 3.5 tank, which only costs $5! Cartomizers run for as low as $5 for 5 and you can get set up with a starter e-cig kit (which includes a battery, cartomizer tank, & a USB charger) for only $20! As far as e-liquids, they carry Virgin Vapor and it's $10/bottle ranging from 0mg - 24mg nicotine I believe. Overall, 4 out of 5. They're open until 3am, what a blessing! However, neighborhood does rattle me a little; I suggest you come strapped (haha, just kidding) with cash I mean! read more

This place cracks me up. It has this vibe, like it is a video store from the 90's, run by Kevin Smith before he was a typical Hollywood dbag. I ended up here out of necessity, as RedBox has such a limited selection and all the Blockbusters in the area are closed down. Although this place is not clean and orderly like Blockbuster used to be (BleRay disks literally have no categorization system, so its a hunt to find what you want), it has a good selection of movies. And rentals are cheap, at $2 a day. There is even an adult back-room that I see men awkwardly exiting. Video 94 is open till 3am. Every day. Including holidays. Pretty sweet if you ask me! read more

The hype I assume, is only for their subtle tobacco section that is discreetly *sarcasm* hidden behind a dusty black curtain with home made written (very faded) signs that say 18+ only! They should really rename this to be a tobacco store, since the majority of their revenue are evidently from tobacco products...and their movie selection suck!!!! hardly any to choose from, and the discs were scratched!! Sketchy corner store, since they sell tobacco products let's be real, there are a lot of druggies kickin' it around there. Rentals cost more than the video store a mile up the street, New movies and old movies cost the same to rent. $2 a day. Versus. the other video store costs .99 cent for old movies (2-3 day rental, same cost) and $2 for new ones. It didn't help that this place is run by young dudes that DO NOT look happy to be there. I have been coming here since I was 5 years old. I'm 21 now. Back in the day, when Video 94 was near Pizza Supreme, this place was popping. Even when it was on Colima Road in Rowland Heights, it was good too. Everyone used to come here, movies and games rental prices were legit. I believe back in the day they even had video game arcade machines as well, which was fun. 2 dollar movie rentals and 2.50 for game rentals were dope. You could also choose how many ever days you wanted to rent the game for an additional I believe 50 to 75 cents. It was cool. However, recently, I just discovered that law enforcement watches this place. And it has been raided a few times. Heard they be doing some shady things there. Ever since they added the smoke shop, and employees who don't really care, it has just went downhill. Honestly haven't even been there much the last 2 years. But, extremely disappointed to see what it has become considering I've been a loyal customer for 15+ years. I recently went in this past week to rent, and the place was simply unrecognizable. read more

I was reluctant to go into video 94 at first, but now I'm in there all the time! The rentals are so cheap, how can you resist? It is also one of those stores that puts the upcoming movies out the weekend before, and will have the discs on sale for $10 about a week after the initial release date. Don't go in expecting to find older (more than a month or two) DVDs, it can take a few minutes to get your bearings in the sorta-alphabetical stacks. If you are obsessive about organization, DON'T GO INTO THE STACKS...you'll end up spending your life trying to put things in order. Good selection of TV shows and video games as well. read more
