I am very disappointed with how this music school handled our situation. We were charged cancellation penalties despite the fact that I did not have the teacher's direct contact information, and when I tried to call the office, no one answered. Yet I was later told that I should have notified them 24 hours in advance. I completely understand and respect teachers' time and the need for cancellation policies. However, a policy should also come with a reasonable way for parents to communicate. If parents are expected to provide advance notice, there should be a reliable method to reach someone. It is unfair to penalize families when the school itself is not accessible. What upset me the most was the lack of understanding and flexibility, especially since this was our first issue after being enrolled. Instead of working with us to find a fair resolution, the response was simply a list of penalties and charges. I hope the school improves its communication process and ensures that parents have a clear and reliable way to contact staff in urgent situations. Families deserve transparency, consistency, and a little compassion. Usually, once you choose an instrument, you will play that instrument throughout elementary, middle school, high school possibly adulthood. So when I was looking to purchase a full size cello for my son, I went to multiple prestige, well-known stores like Robert Cauer, Morey's, Weisshar M&R and Sons and Vienna Music Institute. They were all very professional, had many selections. They let us check out cellos for a week to try at home. Most people probably heard Cauer, Morey's, Weisshar since they've been around for a long time. However, I was very impressed with the quality of Vienna Music's cellos. Out of many different cellos we tried, Vienna's cello had the most clean yet full and beautiful tone. We also tried different cello bows but once again, Vienna's bow won over our son's heart. My kid has just finished her summer camp this weekend. She can't wait to go back next year and hopes they have winter camp, fall camp, etc. She's made friends, enjoyed music and learned a lot from different teachers through the two-week camp.Three and a half hours each day, intense yet fun. At the end, the students and teachers put up a two hour performance. One thing is that my kid didn't go to Vienna for cello classes till she started summer camp there, yet she loves all the teachers there, fun and helpful. I'm glad we did because it did not take very long before she was ready, so we took the rental back to purchase a new full sized one. I was recommended this place for a new full size handcrafted violin . It was beautifully made, with excellent quality and sound. Joe was extremely helpful and explained the differences between the different violins and his professional opinion on them. My daughter recently had to change her violin to a full size. When we went to Vienna, Mr. Joe gave us six violins to try out. Each violin had its own quality, for example, one had a rich sound, while another was easier to tune with. He allowed us to check out two violins so that out private teacher could check both. We were looking to upgrade my daughter's instrument and made an appointment at the store to try out some instruments since she also takes private lessons at their institute. Joe (the owner)brought out about 10 instruments of various prices for her to try out in one of the practice rooms, and from those we were able to try 2 at home during the week. He was patient and allowed us to stay as long as we needed in order to select the ones we thought we would be interested in buying. We returned the following week to purchase the instrument that she enjoyed playing the most, had the richest sound, and her teacher also approved. Joe completed setup of the instrument while we waited, with the chin rest, tailpiece, and strings that she wanted. He also stated that repairs and maintenance could be performed on site, and there were also cases and bows that could be purchased if we needed them. There is also a 100% purchase price applicable to upgrade the instrument in the future if the instrument is $1500 or higher. My daughter has received many compliments on her new instrument, and she enjoys practicing even more!
