Sitting at the front of the boat with drinks in hand was lovely, and being able to dip our feet into the water on the way back to the marina was so relaxing and a once in a lifetime experience. If you're looking for a unique way to experience the history of Puerto Rico and Old San Juan, look no further!

Super friendly and knowledgable, she'll tell you all about San Juan and its history, and then take you to see it from the water. Once you're out on the water, you can stay in the main area, on the front of the boat, or hang our feet off the back in the water. It was just us, one other couple, and Captain Judith and Maria (who was helping serve drinks and operate the boat) -- so it was a small, intimate group and exactly what we wanted. I imagine the sunset trip is even more romantic and would be worth doing.

Drinks are provided as well which was great on a hot day. 2. We (myself, wife and two kids age 9 and 14) were onboard but only myself and older son fished. I understand fishing can be tough some days but for the $500 pricetag we only caught 4 fish in four hours which was less than I would expect and the extra money for anyone that wasn't fishing was probably not worth it but only other option was to leave them behind on the ship. 3. Would recommend but taking these things into consideration ahead of time that's all.

Communication with the company before the day was responsive and easy. They, like many fishing charters in PR, offer morning and afternoon slots. The rep I spoke with several times, Natalie, said the afternoon offered good fishing, as I was concerned that only morning was a good time. Also, $600 for seven guys four hours fishing isn't bad. The boat was a bit cramped with seven plus captain but was still comfortable and fairly new. The bad: I called an hour before we were scheduled to meet and asked if there would be ice for the cooler I already knew they had. The rep confirmed she'd have the captain grab some more. I'm glad I called because we would have been iceless otherwise. They had a morning charter earlier and seemed to not have reupped on any beverages and such for us (minus whatever straggler beers and waters were left). When we reached the meeting point the boat pulled up with both men seeming confused. We were a group of seven but they said they could only take six. I said I was clear about our group size when I booked, and that their rep said it was fine. She said they could only charge for six so the seventh was free. Luis and Ricardo (the other captain who didn't join us) deliberated away from us a bit but then we all boarded and got on our way. Awkward start to the day but not a big deal. We then proceeded to spend over an hour bait fishing with no success. We were surprised that the bait fish were not already in the live well (I know this isn't always the case but all seven of us were surprised by this and we've all done charter fishing). With a chunk of the afternoon gone and no bait fish, we trolled with lures the whole time. We did not have a single bite the entire day let alone catch anything. Luis definitely seemed committed to finding fish and even stayed out a little later with us but to no avail. Fishing has such days so that's less on the company obviously, but the unpreparedness with the bait fish, expectation from the rep that the season and time of day boded well, and confusion that began the trip all suggested that the company mailed in our experience. With a little better communication internally and more attentive preparation for our group, it could have been a much better day. I'll be looking elsewhere for my next fishing experience in PR.

I checked out the Facebook reviews and since my kids love to dance I figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. I can't say enough about what a wonderful experience this was. This is a essentially a night club on a boat that takes you around San Juan bay for an hour. As you're walking towards the boat you can't help but to get all excited because of all the lights and music. Once on board you can select between dancing on the upper or lower level. We choose the upper level because we wanted to feel the sea breeze as we danced. Once you settle in prepare to dance non stop for the whole tour. It was amazing to be dancing with people of all ages. I suggest getting on board about 20-30 minutes early so that you can get a few minutes of extra dancing time. The cost is 15.00 per person for locals and 20.00 for tourists. If you're a dancer you'll get your monies worth but if you're not, you'll have a good time by checking out the sights and all of the people on the dance floor. If you're in Puerto Rico, this is a must do.

My wife booked a trip for us to visit Puerto Rico and I have always wanted to experience tarpon…read morefishing. I found a few charters in the area and honestly it was chance that led me to select Puerto Rico Tarpon Connection. Captain Rafa responded to my emails swiftly and made me feel comfortable leading up to our trip. The night prior to our trip, I couldn't sleep a wink. I was as excited as a kid on Christmas Eve. Our trip began on a rainy morning as a Puerto Rico "Cool Front" (80 degrees) had just come through. My wife who is not as experienced in fishing accompanied us. Captain Rafa offered her his only rain jacket which meant a lot to me. We began by catching bait and Rafa immediately put us on the fish. I believe we hooked up with approximately 10-15 tarpon during the course of our 4 our trip. We landed 5 fish (approximately 20 lbs or so). When Rafa and I weren't discussing our love for fishing, he and my wife were discussing their love for good food. Our day concluded with the Captain taking us to an area where we could feed wild Tarpon in the shallows with the remaining unused bait. What an experience!!! At the conclusion of the charter, the captain sat down and had lunch with us and advised us of some amazing local must-haves. The memories of this trip will be something that will last a lifetime. I appreciated Captain Rafa's professionalism and more importantly his concern for my wife's comfort and enjoyment during the trip. I feel like we definitely made a friend in Puerto Rico and are already discussing our next trip here. My next trip may include two tarpon charters and I won't use the services of anyone else but Captain Rafa!!! Don't charter with anyone but Vieques Sailing Charters! From the first email to arriving back to…read morethe beach everything was top notch and extremely professional. It all started with working with Sara on the trip, she was amazing, responsive and great to work with! The day of our sail we arrived at the beach and were greeted by 4 great guys; Captain John, Captain Nate, Captain Ryan and the awesome Ron. They were all very welcoming and walked us through what our day would entail, we loaded our gear in the dingeys and headed to Maurader and Avalon for our day to begin. The crew were all so amazing, very knowledgeable and gave us an amazing history of Vieques which was incredibly cool! We had a great sail around, good stiff winds so we were cruising, it was awesome to watch the others of our group aboard Maurauder as you could see they were having as much fun as we were. We had some Puerto Rican water (Medailla) and the best rum punch ever (the recipe will eventually go down with Captain Nate). We sailed for about an hour and then we moored off a reef and our friends joined us aboard Avalon where we prepped for a snorkeling trip. The trip was led by awesome Ron and Captain Ryan, Half our group went exploring for an hour or so while the other half swam off the boat and had libations. Once the snorkerlers returned we got to hear about what they saw and then we all enjoyed some delicious cheeses, hummus and artichoke dips with crackers. Be mindful of the table so one of your friends knocked it over (our apologies). We then departed for our sail back to the bay to finish the best day of our trip. I highly recommend this group as they're amazing people, talented sailors, and amazing guides for your perfect day sailing Vieques.
