Easy to find location with plenty of parking. We embarked at 1pm and returned at 5pm. The capitán, bartender and staff took such great care of everyone on the clean catamaran. The lunch was fresh and delicious and the drinks flowed the entire time. Plenty of time to snorkel and relax on the beautiful Cayo Icacos. It was perfect! read more

Highly do not recommend. We recently chartered a boat with this company in San Juan. I have been on many excursions over the years and have never experienced treatment like this. I fully understand and respect that the vessel has a no-smoking and no-vaping policy. I complied. However, the manner in which the policy was communicated was unnecessarily rude and confrontational. Professional leadership sets the tone onboard, and unfortunately that tone created an uncomfortable atmosphere from the start. At one point, I was also threatened by a crew member, which was completely disproportionate to the situation. That escalation appeared to stem from poor leadership and communication from the captain. The most disappointing moment occurred as I was disembarking the vessel when the captain said, "Can you walk straight?" implying that I was intoxicated or unstable. This comment was especially inappropriate given that I have visible scarring on my femur from a serious injury. I worked very hard to recover from that injury, and being mocked in that manner was unprofessional and disrespectful. I have always respected crew authority and vessel policies on prior charters. Rules are understandable. Disrespect and intimidation are not. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures future guests are treated with courtesy, professionalism, and respect. read more

I'm always nervous booking excursions on vacation. You only get a few chances to make great memories on a trip. The crew at Sail Getaways made this the highlight of our trip. I notice some of the small details that matter watching some of the other tour boats pull out. Like how all their boats are clean with padded seats which makes the ride out to the small islands as enjoyable as the destination. My kids loved it which is the main thing. My friend and I went on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. We had an absolutely awesome time on this tour, would highly recommend to anyone visiting! The boating staff was friendly, attentive, fun, and went above and beyond to help the passengers on the boat. It's about a 1 hour boat ride (if you get seasick easily, bring some medicine) and from there you spend an hour or so snorkeling. After that they take you to Flamenco Beach where they give everyone free time to do what they'd like. We liked the ability to do what we wanted there and not feeling constrained to doing one thing with a group. The waters are crystal blue and the boat was comfortable and spacious. The small group size was perfect. The ride out was a little choppy due to weather but Capt Benny did a great job. Some places will not go to Culebra if the waves are rough but this boat made it easy. Everyone on the crew team was amazing!They also did not serve cheap non-brand food or alcoholic drinks so you don't have to worry about going hungry or having a hangover the next day; some other places serve cheap alcohol but they did not. The drinks were delicious. captain and crew were helpful and attentive, the captain was super informative and knowledgeable but if you tend to get seasick I would highly recommend purchasing nausea relief package patches because a few people got sick on the boat. The captain and crew were absolutely fantastic. We had the greatest time, they were so kind, attentive, and fun. The snorkeling was great as well as our time on the beach. We can't rave enough about the experience and crew. Food was great, the drinks were great, we had an overall fantastic time. And four hours was the perfect amount of time for this adventure. We felt very safe and we'll take care of, and we were more than happy to give the crew a substantial gratuity. The shuttle service to and from the marina and our resort was absolutely horrid. The AC didn't work, and after four hours of drinking and sun, PLUS traffic, this sucked. Driver stopped at his house on the way. Ride made us feel so sick because of how bumpy and shaky the van was. Such an amazing experience!!! We had a boat full of all sorts of different couples, groups of gals and kids. It seemed to be an amazing experience for everyone on board. The captain explained in details how things were going to go headed out to Culebra and when food and drinks would start. Our captain spotted whales and even looped around ( which he didn't need to do!!) but he went out of his way to let us all see these gorgeous creatures. Snorkeling was amazing but getting to the beach was breathtaking. Take the few minutes to walk the length of the beach. The tanks that the US Navy left were cool to look at... even though I saw them frequently while I was in the Army The crew was amazing at customer service, waiting on people for drinks EVEN brought them drinks to the shoreline!! Great trip, cannot recommend enough! We were hesitant with the cost but it was 100% worth it. We spent 1 hour snorkeling and 2 hours at flamenco beach and had plenty of time in the gorgeous sun. They even accommodated our friend who couldn't swim, so she was able to fully participate in all the activities. The lunch was delicious and the drinks were seriously endless. We probably had 8 drinks each. The staff was super friendly and funny. Good music, good vibes. We also used the provided transportation because we did not rent a car in San Juan. Had a great time! Lucky for us the weather was perfect, as was the boat and crew. The boat was the perfect size for us, comfortable, and the food and drinks were plentiful and delicious. We made 2 stops that day, one for snorkeling at a reef and the 2nd for a few hours at a wonderful beach. Then on the way back to the harbor the captain took us on a slow cruise past another island as an added treat. Overall a WONDERFUL experience. The staff called me the night before to let me know that the winds were too strong to head to Culebra so we were rebooked to go to Icacos. I was a bit bummed but I respected the fact that they were more concerned about the safety of the passengers and crew than trying to make the trip. The crew was lovely, very accomodating, and told the passengers to respect the reef by not touching it or standing on it. As a former marine biologist, I really appreciated that announcement. We had PLENTY of time to snorkel, the equipment was all in very good condition. The beach at Icacos was gorgeous and very chill. We had PLENTY of time there as well to relax on the island, in the water, the boat or do a walk around the beach. I couldn't recommend this company more. Would definitely rebook with them. read more

My family went on the snorkeling boat to Culebra. Everyone on the boat was super friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze. About an hour to our snorkeling sight with a great reef to check out. Then lunch was served on the boat with open bar. Then we headed over to flamenco beach. The most beautiful beach I have ever seen. We spent 2 hours there and took amazing photos and ate some local food. Definitely want to try them. Much easier to take their boat then trying to get on the ferry. read more

Loved the defensive tone that the captain took to this review - it's our opinion and we are entitled to it. Having been yelp elite for 6+ years, we've been to our share of restaurants and tours so I wouldn't say we are doing this just to be a jerk about it but rather to share our experience with those who are seeking it. In addition, the captain also messaged me privately with more explanations (excuses) using capitalized language (unnecessary and rude). I won't elaborate more here except he talked to his crew and his crew told him a story that was untrue (since clearly the guy touching me and my friends didn't stop doing it nor apologize) but stopped because he went to get alcohol and I proceeded to move over so he could no longer sit in the same seat that I was sitting in. Amongst other things. I honestly wouldn't waste my time responding to this if we didn't feel so strongly about how subpar the level of service we received was. And also obviously this is validated by the defensive tone and 'explanations' /assumptions the captain had to make in his response. Anyways - people who are reading can either believe other glowing reviews (which is perfectly fine) or they can just go with our opinion (which I also think is ok as well). And also he did not acknowledge how much we liked Cole so there was a positive to it! He was awesome :) read more
