You had to use a knife to cut them in half, and the accompanying onions might have been better left in the kitchen. The decor is pool hall dark, which is ok, because that is what it is. The place was pretty full of locals on a Sunday early evening. Our server was quite attentive, but the food came out quite slowly, the mains for sure took longer than they should have. Pricing seemed quite reasonable to us, but where we live eating out has become quite a luxury. Would we go back, maybe, but there are still plenty of places to explore in Grand Prairie prior to doing so.

I arrived early on a Fri afternoon and there was already a crowd forming. I had ordered the fish and chips and it was great. 9oz piece of Halibut fish and fries. The side was coleslaw that normally skip but this was very tasty. The tartar sauce was also quite tangy which I like. The fish was cooked just right and did seem greasy. The large portion was quite filling. The menu also had an option for a second piece of fish as well. I am not sure who could eat 18oz of fish. The fries were the shoe string variety and had a light coating that made them scrumptious and crispy. There was 80's pop music playing low in the background and many TV's to watch the hockey game on. Going down at a few minutes past 9:00 it was all packed up, so off we went to Major's. A little miffed already we were told to grab a table, which we did, and then sat there for, in my mind, too long prior to getting menus. The choices of bread available was extensive and we settled on the house made bread, what a great choice, the pieces were huge. My sunny up eggs were nicely cooked, the hashbrowns well cooked and the bacon thick and crispy as asked for. The lovely K picked eggs poached medium which they also were. We found the food cooled very quickly, maybe some warm plates might be in order. The ambiance could use an upgrade, and it looked like someone had run into the exterior corner of the building with hasty repairs evident. Halfway through our meal, we somehow got the other server that was on, and she was far more engaged. We had a nice chat while paying heating of her experience going to school in Ontario and being home for the Summer. Solid amount of food quite well prepared at very fair prices in our mind.
