On the day of my son's birth we emailed back and forth multiple times to discuss details of the newborn photography session, as well as, to schedule the exact date on which it would happen (9 days post delivery). She even sent me potential outfit and prop ideas for the shoot. At this point I was so excited for the session and declined professional newborn shots at the hospital. On 3 consecutive days leading up to the scheduled appointment I attempted to contact Melissa via email and phone to confirm the details and she would not respond. Needless to say, she did not show up for the session. Furthermore, because of the nature of newborn photography I had nearly missed the window for those adorable sleepy baby shots. I have also read on the What to Expect When You're Expecting Boston Mom's forum that she has done this to multiple other new moms. Don't waste your time with this sort of professionalism...especially during such joyous times as those which you wish to photograph. I do NOT recommend Melissa Marie Photography.

I sent them to a friend who had already booked her own newborn photo shoot and she said she regretted putting down a deposit with another photographer because she loved Nicole's style! We don't take a lot of photos and are pretty camera-shy, but Nicole was very helpful and gently guided us on what to do and made us feel free to try out different things. She was very gracious during our session and even went a little over time because we had to feed the baby in the middle of it. Photos came back within two weeks and we're very happy with them.
