When my husband surprised me with a newborn photo shoot, I was over the moon! When he told me it would be four days after arriving home from the hospital, I was immediately worried - we were all sleep deprived, out of sorts, and barely knew our little son! Isabel had assured my husband that all would be well, and we made it to the morning of. She arrived promptly and immediately - immediately!- put both us and our new baby at ease. Isabel is a very talented and patient photographer who's very skilled at handling newborns for the newborn photoshoot. She is very efficient and quick at swaddling and posing our baby in the safest manner. During Covid times, she took all the safety precautions: temperature check, mask wearing, and constant hand sanitizing. Our morning appointment started on time, and that's mainly due to following her newborn prep list to ease the baby into a calm and sleepy state. When I was 4 months pregnant with my first child this past February, I started to look for a newborn photographer since I wanted to make sure I secured someone in advance. I found Isabel during a Google search and was immediately impressed with her work. Upon connecting with her via a phone conversation, I knew instantly that she was the one. I usually make sure to feel out a few people before I commit to anything and Isabel reassured me I could think about it and get back to her but in this case, I didn't feel the need to. I just had that gut feeling about her. I didn't need to look any further. Fast forward to 8 months pregnant when I had to give birth to my son suddenly. I had my second baby a couple weeks ago but before he was born I knew we would be booking Isabel to take his newborn photos. We enjoyed her service and work with our first son and it was a no brainer to use her again. We booked her months in advance. Her current photo packages are different and offers a more custom range. After I gave birth I contacted her to schedule a date. My in laws were coming the next week so I asked if she could come the same weekend for pictures. She was very accommodating. Nov. 2017: Our newborn photos are amazing! Isabel did a fantastic job working with our son. I wish she would come over at 2 am and get him to settle down like she did during our shoot. We live in a tiny apartment and she was still able to set up a studio in our space. My parents were visiting and able to join in our photos too. She really captured all that is special and joyous about our family and this unique time as we go from three to four (including the fur baby). Our dog was even in on the pictures too. We used Isabel for our daughter's newborn photos 3.5 years ago and just recently used her again for our son's. She is incredibly professional, knows how to do a mean swaddle and is patient in getting pictures of both your newborn and older child (if there is a sibling.) It's wonderful that she comes to you and if you have any props that you want incorporated, she'll do it. I would suggest Isabel for your family pictures, hands down. Isabel was wonderful to work with and a true professional - answered all my questions via email, was friendly and engaging, gave good instructions to help with a good photo shoot (e.g. recommended turning up the heat a little bit, to help baby sleep), and she was wonderful working with the baby - she had better luck keeping him asleep then I do, even when setting up different poses. He was super comfortable throughout. My hope coming out of the photo shoot was to get images of my kiddo wrapped up with lots of fingers and toes. She did an excellent job capturing this, and had a range of other little poses that I loved as well, and also included a knit hat and a stuffed animal that I'd mentioned. In the end, the photos were really amazing. I couldn't be more thrilled. On top of that, Isabel also offers what she calls a 'Fresh 48' where she will come to the hospital in the first 48 hours after the baby's birth. My wife and I decided to have our baby girl's newborn photoshoot with Isabel. She came highly recommended from a friend. What an amazing experience! First, with COVID, it could be scary to have someone come to your home. However, Isabel checked our temperatures (including her own) and we filled out a questionnaire. I can't gush enough about Isabel. She was prompt and clear in her communication as we discussed the newborn photo shoot during my pregnancy, and after I delivered my daughter, she was quick to schedule a session the following week at my home. As a healing newly post partum mom, it was so convenient for her to come to my house and do the photo shoot there. She arrived with a couple bags of wraps, props, and accessories, and I was happy that I didn't have to worry about picking outfits or prep for the shoot in any way (other than making sure my daughter was clean and well-fed, and I had showered and brushed my hair). Isabel was great at soothing my sometimes fussy daughter, so she slept soundly throughout the entire shoot. We did a series of family photos then individual portraits of my daughter, and then she reviewed the best images with me during the same visit so we could pick which ones would go into an album. As I looked at the photos, I was completely blown away. All the photos were utterly gorgeous and special, and I knew immediately that I would treasure them forever. As someone who wasn't sure about doing a newborn photo session earlier in her pregnancy, I was so thrilled that I decided to go ahead and do one, especially with Isabel as our photographer. I found Isabel on yelp when I was searching for reasonably-priced maternity/newborn photographers in the Boston area. From the moment I first emailed her, Isabel was a pleasure to work with. She was very flexible and was even able to incorporate our two greyhounds and my brother into the maternity shoot along with my husband and me - and unlike some other photographers I had reached out to, didn't make a fuss about it and understood that they were all part of our growing little family. The day of the shoot, she drove out of the city to meet us at the location of our choice, and we had a ton of fun! My husband does NOT like getting his picture taken, and she was able to put everyone at ease, get him to relax and laugh, and capture some great shots and a beautiful sunset! She had great ideas for photos (we aren't that creative) and was also able to incorporate a few poses we wanted and make them turn out wonderfully. Once our little guy arrived, Isabel came to our home for the newborn shoot and was totally understanding about the overwhelm of new-parenthood. Again she put us (and our very uptight baby boy) at ease. Isabel is an absolute pro at photographing newborns, and at that point in time, I'm pretty sure she was better with my baby than I was, put him right to sleep and got some smiles, too! We have so many priceless photos of our son that I know we will cherish forever, as well as great family shots. She even made me look good through my postpartum fog. I cannot speak highly enough of my experience working with Isabel and iSweet Photography! From the initial communication through photo delivery she has been unbelievably helpful, knowledgeable, thorough and attentive. My family and I were descending on Boston from all across the country to celebrate my Grandmother's 90th birthday. Since it's a rare opportunity to get us all together I figured I couldn't let the moment pass without some great photos of us all. I found iSweet Photography online and was very wary of using a random person from the web but I didn't have much of an option. Isabel immediately put me at ease. She asked all the appropriate questions about our family, the celebration and the possible locations. I can't express strongly enough what a priceless experience it was to have Isabel shoot my sister's newborn baby. My sister and her husband were considering having professional pictures taken of their newborn, so my brother and I bought a photoshoot for them as a baby gift.
