    We used Vik staffing for our engagement party where we needed a bartender. The service was beyond fantastic - not only prompt and friendly but also made yummy drinks! Since SF weather can be unpredictable and the bar was set up outside he brought layers. We provided a drink menu and it was quickly learned. Thank you for making our party special!

    We couldn't have been happier with Vik's staffing agency! They demonstrated exceptional professionalism and flawlessly executed our large outdoor wedding for 150 guests. Vik was wonderful to work with--his experience, organization, and professionalism shone through every conversation we had prior to the event. From setting up our tables and place settings, quickly moving 150 chairs post ceremony, assembling the appetizer and dessert table, to clearing plates and cleaning up, everything was great. We highly recommend this agency for any event, big or small.

    We had a strange but ultimately positive experience with Vik Staffing. We booked the event a couple of weeks in advance and Vikram reached out on Tuesday before our Saturday event to get the cocktail menu from us. He shared these with the bartender then. Then, on Saturday, when the bartender showed up, we had a very similar experience to a couple of other reviewers here - where our bartender shared that she did not know how to make drinks and was usually just serving them. She struggled to prepare the recipes we had printed out and didn't know how to use our mixing tins. She also smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. When we queried her about her lack of experience, she said she had been asked at last minute to cover the event and had driven up from San Jose. We phoned Vikram right away and he was audibly frustrated (rude even, to the server and my wife) but was able to come take over our bar for the evening. From then on, things were much better. Vikram himself is a solid bartender and was respectful, fun and made excellent drinks. Before booking, I had directly asked about the two negative reviews on the listing and he had mentioned these were written by an employee who was fired and her friend. I had given him the benefit of the doubt but it was unfortunate that we had exactly the same experience ourselves. I know it's hard to find qualified staff in this economy, especially around the holidays but the whole experience left us a little uneasy. Thankfully the event turned out well but I think there is room for improvement here on the backend.

    I met Vik and his amazing servers for a fundraiser for St Helena Montessori School. His bartending staff were fantastic and servers were beyond helpful. Will definitely will hire them for our private events!!

She chose the clay art activity with a "Sea Friends" theme because it sounded creative and exciting for the kids, but the actual experience did not meet expectations at all. There were only three very simple animal designs offered, which was far too limited for a two-hour birthday party and not engaging enough to keep the children interested. The employees assisting with the activity did not appear to be properly trained to host or manage a children's party. Their instructions were unclear, they spoke very softly, and there was little enthusiasm or interaction with the kids. The atmosphere felt dull and unorganized instead of fun and energetic like a birthday celebration should be. Many of the children lost interest quickly because there was no excitement, guidance, or effort to keep them engaged. What was most disappointing was that, despite booking a two-hour party, the actual clay activity lasted only around 40 minutes. After that, there was very little for the kids to do, leaving them bored and restless for most of the remaining time. As a parent spending money to create a memorable milestone birthday for my daughter, I expected a much better-planned and professionally hosted experience. I chose this place hoping it would create happy memories for my daughter and her friends, but instead it turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience for both the kids and the parents attending the party.

The pros: The space was bright, colorful, organized and clean. The staff were friendly and informative and didn't mind giving us extra paint when we wanted additional colors. Love that you can just walk right in without reservations. The cons: Wow is this place expensive for what you get. Most of their items that you can paint can easily be found in the dollar section at Target or for less the $5 at Michael's. The cheapest item to paint was $15 and those were very small pieces which can easily be painted in less than 10 minutes. My son chose a wooden snake and I chose a window clings wind chime. Each were $22. I would expect more expensive prices for items like this if maybe you get some special tools or paints to use. You simply get a paper plate with acrylic colors of your choice and paint brushes. I do not feel this is worth the price when I can easily replicate this experience in my own home for less than $10. Overall, the idea is great but they need to make this experience more unique in order for it to be worth the price. For example, there is another craft place in Pleasanton that you can create ceramics that have to go into a kiln for around the same price. That is not something I can replicate in my own home and is therefore worth the price.

My daughter and now son-in-law also interviewed them and we all agreed that they were the best. I'll be honest, at first I was a little worried. Not because of anything they were or weren't doing, but because I'm a control freak Plus type A personality and wanted my daughter's wedding day to be perfect. So, I ended up stepping on toes and trying to do things on my own when I should have listened to the wedding planners and sat back and relaxed. Judy and Carol convinced me however that they had EVERYTHING under control and I did become convinced that they did. Nearing the last month and the two weeks before the wedding is when so many of the final details are wrapped up and they are on top of it. So, if you hire them, don't worry, they have it under control. The day of the wedding when we arrived, Carol and Judy were just finishing up the set-up and it was GORGEOUS!!! Also, we had a bit of a fiasco with a hotel that we had lined up and the shuttle service. Judy made many calls on our behalf and we ended up going to a different hotel and hiring a Royal Coach Bus for 57 passengers to take our guests from the Sheraton in Pleasanton to the Crooked Vine Winery in Livermore. This worked out perfectly and made the evening so enjoyable for everyone because they didn't have to worry about driving. I will say that when my next daughter gets married, I will definitely be hiring Carol and Judy again! Going into a wedding, you think you only have to hire people but there are so many details, many that you don't even think about. I loved all their vendors and will be writing separate reviews on that. Their floral person did an awesome job!!!! On the wedding day they stayed until the very end and had all the gifts and everything loaded into our vehicle already. This was so nice because my husband and I could spend time with our guests instead of running around making sure everything was going right. I highly recommend Carol and Judy for your wedding planners! Worth every penny!
