Lindgren falsely claimed I cursed his staff, which is completely untrue. If I had, I would ask him to specify exactly what was said and to whom. I urge him to do the right thing. We had had consulted and discussed our child's case with more orthodontists than we anticipated, and received conflicting treatment plans. Not expecting a resolution, we acted on a recommendation to see Drs. Chan and Chen. These are our experience: 1. They had a busy schedule, but Dr. Chen stayed after hours to see us. She spent more than an hour explaining her findings and recommendations. To use our child's favor phrase "Who does that?" We are health care providers, so we know that this is one hallmark of a doctor who truly cares. 2. Dr. Chen is super knowledgeable. By now we have read volumes of orthodontic textbooks and articles. We have no clinical experiences in orthodontics, but we know much more about orthodontics than maybe the average parent. Dr. Chen's findings were consistent with what we understood about our child's problems and more. Her recommendations were detailed and addressed all of our concerns. Her treatment details not only agreed with the textbooks and research findings, in areas where there were controversies Dr. Chen was able to offer very sincere and clear recommendations. She was not dogmatic about her recommendations but able to offer clear explanations and good alternatives. Orthodontics is very much an art as much as it is a science, and Dr. Chen excels in both. She also offered her experiences in treating her own son about the very same problems as our child had. How reassuring is that? 3. The stuff, from Teri at the front desk to Tori the assistant, were super friendly and helpful. Our child is shy, and they made her feel comfortable throughout her appointments. 4. The office is clean, professional, and parking is easy. We drive a long distance to see Dr. Chen. We decided that she was our child's orthodontist and was worth the extra driving. 5. The practice uses advanced technologies. For example, the xray is digital. Radiation exposure is a concern for us, and digital xray has low radiation. Dr. Chen was so accommodating. She didn't mind using the xrays we got from another office to lessen the radiation exposure to our child. They use digital impression to scan their patients' teeth instead the old fashion impressions. This allows more accurate impressions and comfort for their patients. I could go on and on about how wonderful this office and Dr. Chen are. We are looking forward to getting the best orthodontic results for our child with Dr. Ivy Chen. I will update our experience, and everything so far tells us that we will have more wonderful things to say about this orthodontic practice. We are looking forward to meeting Dr. Chan, who also will be seeing our child. Getting two doctors with their combined experiences and knowledge? Where else could you get that?

You need someone who has dealt with hundreds and thousands of cases like yours -- and harder. You want to be a boring case for them, not the one complicated case they see in their entire career. And for all this, Dr. Klein is absolutely the person you're looking for. I did countless hours of research before originally going with her and I am so glad that I did. I'm part of a jaw surgery recovery group and I cannot tell you the number of horror stories I've read about people going to incompetent orthodontists who do not understand what they are looking at and do not understand that certain cases require surgery *and* orthodontic work combined. They just pull out teeth and put on regular braces that end up making situations way, way worse. I cannot underscore enough the importance of avoiding this. Not only can it be physically devastating but the psychological toll, as attested to by so many in this group, is extreme. As I mentioned, my own case is pretty much as complicated as they come. I ultimately had to get a bilateral total joint replacement (due to ICR), lower jaw surgery, Le Fort I osteotomy, septoplasty, etc. It goes on. The surgery itself was over 12 hours. Dr. Klein saw this the first time I went to her office. She knew exactly what we needed to do. And from that moment through the entire crazy thing - having to switch surgeons four times (!) - she has been the only constant. (A tale for another time but long story short, my first surgeons - surgeons at MGH! - were absolutely incompetent and awful. It was awful and I HIGHLY recommend avoiding them. Dr. Klein helped me end up with one of the best surgeons in the country for my surgery instead, even though he wasn't at MGH [which is where she was at the time]. She and the surgeon I ultimately went with were in constant contact. They could text each other!) Honestly, she's incredible. I have literally never met a doctor who cares more about her patients than Dr. Klein. And more than just "cared" but actually put in who knows how many hours figuring out how to achieve the best outcome. She gave me her cell to call. She always made time for me, though constantly busy. And she advocated for me. Go with Dr. Klein.

Dr. Ansari is now with Gentle Dental in Peabody. My recent experience is similar to many others who…read morehave written about her on Yelp regarding her former dental office in Boston. For me, Dr. Ansari recommended the removal and replacement of four old fillings. Having always had a good experience with Gentle Dental, I mistakenly trusted Dr. Ansari. She is an unskilled dentist who messed up three of the four teeth that she worked on. Dr. Ansari removed and replaced my four old fillings in one sitting. After about a month of continuing pain whenever I ate, I finally went back into the office for a follow up. Dr. Ansari joked that I should "just stop eating." She then filed down one of the four fillings. She had done one filling unevenly, and so my bite was off. This was causing bruising each time I bit down. Unfortunately once the biting pain subsided, I realized that in a different tooth I was having sensitivity to hot and cold. I went to a different dentist and it was revealed that Dr. Ansari did not completely fill another of the four fillings, thus leaving the nerve exposed to sensitivity. Ouch! Xrays also revealed that on a third tooth she did not sufficiently pack the new filling, and so now there is an air bubble inside. That filling will no doubt break and have to be replaced. Only one of the four filling removal/replacements was done correctly. And I am of course wondering if any of the removal/replacements were even necessary to begin with, based on what others have written about unnecessary procedures.
