Why 5 stars? Because it was quite an unforgettable experience…read more --- --- --- I was actually looking for a massage, as traveling throughout Italy had worn me out a bit. Somehow, Dr. Kiss Fish popped up in my search results, and I was intrigued. I mentioned it to my wife, and she immediately said she would not do it. I brought up the fact that we didn't have a ton to do in Venice anyway, and she quickly let her guard down and agreed to give it a try. So what it is? You clean your feet off and then stick them in a tank, where little fish bite the dead skin off your feet. Yep. First off, we got quite lost trying to find this place. I would definitely recommend trying to ask a local for help, because the address system in Venice is not the most organized. If you're going by Apple Maps, it'll put you in the general vicinity, but it's definitely not accurate. Once we arrived, we found out that it was 10 Euros for 10 minutes. They were very sanity about making sure our feet were as clean as they could be before we stuck them in the tank. It was so weird to initially put our feet in, and it definitely tickled a lot! But within a couple of minutes, it really didn't feel that weird. The one thing I can definitely say is that it does not hurt, if you're worried about that. My wife was in the tank next to mine and the fish in that tank seemed to be a lot more interested in eating. That, or, my wife's feet were way grosser? The funniest part of the experience were all of the passers-by who would stop to take pictures of us having this done. We were the only customers in here and were sat really close to the front by the window. So many people stopped by that it felt like we were in a zoo. Many people tried to ask us what it was like in very broken english, but no one actually ended up signing up to have it done. Apparently we were not very good sales people. I would definitely recommend it if you're in Venice! It's definitely something we will never forget and was only 10 Euros! We found Venice to be as beautiful as we hoped it would be, but also kind of ran out of things to do after a couple of days. Definitely stop by!

Went onto yelp to see what is around while in Venice. Came across this place while trying to look…read morefor a spa. Decided to give it a try. It is 1€ a minute so decided to do ten minutes. I asked the lady in the front and she said 10-15 minutes is most common. First you wash your feet with antibacterial soap which is provided then wear plastics bag on your feet while you wait to your station. Then you put your feet in and the little fishies come and start doing their magic. Once done you wipe your feet then lotion is provided. Your feet feel softer when you are done. A nice thing to try. It's something different. Worth trying . Price is friendly.

Similar to the other reviewer, I recently stayed in Castelbrando for my destination wedding! I'll…read morewrite a full review separately for their wedding services, but the tl;dr is that the staff were amazing and really went above and beyond our expectations and my now-husband and I (and all our guests!) had a wonderful experience overall. Brunella and Carlo as leads worked very well with our wedding planner and the whole day went by very smoothly, even with pending rain and some last minute changes/requests. The stay at the hotel itself was so lovely as well. In summary - Pros: - Easy check-in process - able to park right up at the front (temporarily) and unload luggage - Friendly, helpful staff - most of them (all of the front desk and restaurant staff though) speak English - Great room (alcova) with lots of light and lots of space for the wedding party to get ready - Strong wifi in common areas, such as the reception area and lounge - Lots of options at breakfast - hot/cold drinks, continental food items, and hot food such as eggs and bacon - La Fucina restaurant, Donatello Bar, museums, and other areas are fun to explore and hang out in - 24h funicular (cable car) - Lovely spa amenities, easy to book Cons (ish): - The room wasn't fully cleaned until the last day - only the bed was made and the bathroom was cleaned, but the trash bag placed by the door wasn't removed - The room was right below Sansovino Restaurant and so there was lot of noise when tables/chairs were being moved, especially early in the morning - Wifi in the room wasn't usable unless standing next to the door or window - Gelateria was always closed I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I've already stayed at Castelbrando more than once when I was in the area, and I'm very much looking forward to staying here again! :)

The place is impressive, everything is nice from the hotel to the restaurants and the bars. Amazing people working there. There you can also find 2 restaurants : one gastro really good of course and one more informal with pizzas and italian food. I just tried to find something wrong but nothing is wrong here and you should come here once in your life. The place is so beautiful, quiet, romantic and magic. You have also museums, parcs, walking path, theatre and during the summer : ice cream bar. And did told you about the SPA? Well, just come and have a look, you will not be dissapointed.

There is nothing I can say positive about this hotel. The one and only reason I decided to stay…read morehere was because my eleven year old son wanted to stay somewhere with a pool after traveling for a month. I booked the hotel through Priceline and upon arriving I was not put in the main hotel I was placed in the rundown connected building which is more like studio apartments then a hotel not that big of a deal but look at the picture of the wall below. So instead of going and seeing Padova my son want to enjoy the pool!! We make are way down to the pool mind you isn't in the actual hotel building and when we arrive at the door it doesn't open? A little perplexed I notice the sign that says go downstairs to the spa to use the pool..... ok so we make are way down there and the woman at the counter looks us up and down and says your not wearing your robes it's required to use the pool. I explain are room doesn't have any bathrobes in it should there be? At this point she asks for my room number and tells me that the pool is not free it is 15 euro a person!!!!! What? Are you serious? This is a best western do you think this is a J.W. Marriot? Oh wait I'm platinum elite with Marriott and have never been charged to use a pool in my life. So I go up to speak to the hotel manager and she offer to let me use the pool oh wait no she doesn't she says too bad no pool unless you pay $30 euro! I then explained that I would prefer to leave the only reason I was here was the pool she was so kind to explain to me that I could leave of course but she was charging me for all of the days I reserved no matter what. So this is why I decided to write in detail of my absolutely horrific experience at this hotel and I recommend no one else getting caught in the scheme to charge for a pool that is listed on Priceline as an amenity with no mention of a charge for use.
