After reading the many, many glowing reviews online, we decided to book our 4 night stay in Rome here. We were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary, and we wanted something romantic and central. All other hotels looked dinky and small, while Villa Magnolia looked spacious and lush. We were NOT disappointed. When we first pulled up in the taxi we were nervous because it's sort of tucked away and you think it's in the middle of nowhere, but once you get the lay of the land it's clear that you are about a 10-20 minute walk from the Vatican and Trastevere (highly recommend this area for shopping and eating).
Sante greeted us and explained everything we needed to know, and all the women who we met who work there were kind and welcoming. Their espresso is to die for-it's amazing! The rooms are beautiful and spacious and you have your own entrance and key to get in the gate. We didn't make it for breakfast each day, but the staff was happy to bring us some espresso and pastries to our room when we woke up and asked.
They gladly called taxis for us, provided recommendations, and cleaned our room each day. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Rome! We went to Amsterdam afterwards and realized we had been spoiled with the large room size at Villa Magnolia!
Room Tip: We had Room #2 which was the closest to the lobby and front entrance. read more
