Delicious! I've since been back many times, bringing my cousin, friends, parents, and boyfriend. Everyone loves the wine here! I am not a sommelier so I can't explain my reasons for liking wine or not, but it seems that literally every wine is delicious. I usually go for the flights which include small pours and a souvenir tasting glass. Last time I was here a few months ago, I think my boyfriend and I ordered 3 flights so that we could taste and share all 12 red, white, and blend wines. Good choice, and relatively inexpensive. The food here is also good. I don't think they have a standard menu, but I've tried both the pepperoni pizza and a BBQ sandwich meal from here. When ordering food initially, it was just meant to "hold us over" until we got to the next place. But hot damn, the food is seriously DELICIOUS. Trust me and order from here! Lastly, this location is in an old schoolhouse. There's a lot of history here and the folks are willing to share that with you. Just talk to them! I'll have to admit that the winery itself is not as nice on the eyes as some others nearby in terms of being fancy or chic or whatever... instead, the vibe is homey, quaint, and welcoming. The grounds were absolutely beautiful with ample seating, both near the water and across the yard near the stage. The staff was great about consistently cleaning up to keep away bees, or any sort of other pests. It was lovely to see so many families and even dogs which made it a more casual and fun experience overall. We tried the dry flight and overall really enjoyed it! We are usually red wine drinkers, but overall actually preferred the whites instead. Only negative was that they didn't have any of the umbrellas set up at the tables and the sun was quite bright and hot that day so it was difficult to find a location with shade and a table. We had to choose two chairs under some shade and use a third chair as a temporary table which made our experience a little less comfortable. We ended up purchasing two bottles of the white wines from our flight and would highly recommend others coming back in the future.

We had an outdoor wedding with 100 guests planned for my daughter May 12, 2017 in Boone, NC. As…read morethe forecast grew more and more grim for that day, we had to make the decision to change venues three days before the wedding. I came across The Barn at Cornerstone and contacted Kim immediately. I was stressed and in full panic mode but as soon as I talked to her she began putting me at ease. She explained that although the Barn was not quite completed she would do anything in her power to help make this work. The day I visited her, the barn had no electricity. We talked through it and decided to rent a generator. The barn was still in progress but was already beautiful and rustic and I could envision something truly special there. Kim and her husband, Ray, worked tirelessly and two days later when we arrived to decorate and rehearse, the Barn not only had electricity but beautiful chandeliers were hung. We had a wonderful rehearsal dinner outdoors at the lodge that evening. The setting was gorgeous and the grounds were lovely. Ray continued working on the barn up until the afternoon of the wedding and Kim attended to every detail and also coordinated with my caterer. She took so much work and worry off my hands and allowed me to enjoy every moment. We ended up having the most beautiful, intimate wedding that evening. Rain fell heavy on the roof of the barn as they took their vows. It was absolutely magical. I know that once the barn is complete it will be one of the best venues around. There are beautiful venues everywhere but you will be hard pressed to find people like Kim and Ray. I cannot express my gratitude enough.
