Amazing location!! You don't need a Porsche to be welcomed here. We had one of the red wines it was very reasonably priced and very good. The service was excellent they were very helpful with questions they have a good selection of pimento cheeses and crackers and charcuterie boards. They also had a food truck and have really good live music. Plus in the winter time and they have a choosing cut tree farm here. I also have a very large covered area as well as a fully enclosed room which came in handy today because the mountains are finally getting some rain after about 7 weeks of drought. Will definitely come here again when in the area and most likely will come up here to get a tree this Christmas. read more

On top of that, they had live music, a pizza truck, there was a lot of open seating... and... the winery looked so familiar to me, I could have sworn they filmed an episode of "Sothern Charm." I asked the bartender, and she had no idea what I was talking about. As I'm writing this review, I revisited the episode (season 9, ep 9) - and indeed they did! The wine was decent (I tasted all the reds in a flight) but the scenery and ambiance was worth a visit. The staff is friendly and despite being a packed Sunday, our wine was filled quickly and there was plenty of seating. A great place to swing into between Asheville and Boone. In addition to the wine, there is also a tree farm on the property. We saw the owner, an older gentleman who was still working away. While the wine itself wasn't incredible, they did have a wide variety of options. There is also a pizza truck onsite and plenty snack options inside the tasting room. read more

Wonderful experience. Met one of the owners, Jessi Boone, who came around chatting with several tables before the day got too busy. Very friendly staff. Got a wine flight and tried each of their dry reds. Snacked on a pack of crackers and a container of smoked Gouda pimiento cheese. Stop by the red barn for free apples! Eat them while you sit and sip or take some apples home. We chose a table in the first room inside to feel the breeze, sit under a fan, but still see outside. What a relaxing environment. This is a beautiful vineyard. Plenty of room to relax for an afternoon. On busy days bring your own chairs and find your own space. There's a little pond, a red barn, covered patios--one with a fireplace in chilly days. We enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon. Worth the drive too. read more

Fun place! They have a large selection of wines ( and slushies) to choose from. The wines have good flavor, nice body, and finish. Beautiful grounds to walk around. Plenty of seating for everyone. There is a very nice outdoor patio with live music. The day we were there it happened to be a grape stomp. You could purchase a T-shirt, and then step into a tub of grapes, stomp them, and step out of to your T-shirt to leave a purple impression of your feet on the shirt! Afterward, there were buckets of water and a hose to wash off the residual grape juice. What a fun day! read more

We went here on a beautiful sunny Friday afternoon. The outside space is perfect for a nice day. The wood burning fire place outside puts out great heat without a bunch of smoke which we really enjoy since it was around 40 degrees. The wine flights were a great way to sample all the different wines and we were shocked how much we liked the cherry bounce. We are not typically a fan of sweeter wines. There was a great variety of different wines. The cooler had some snacks and we opted for crackers and pimento cheese which were a great snack with our wine. A nice stop off the Blue Ridge Pkwy to enjoy a glass, bottle or flight. Enter the ship to order your beverages then come outside to sit in the covered Mediterranean style patio or outside to enjoy the live music by the vineyard. They have food trucks plus snacks if you're hungry and even have a few frozen drinks to cool you down on a hot day. The flight as a great way to try a variety of options and the presentation of the flight is memorable. Absolutely loved this Winery! We made a stop here after a hike nearby. Beautiful scenery/views and lots of seating. The wine was great and the staff was lovely. Most of our group ordered wine flights. Our favorite was the Sauvignon Blanc, so we bought a bottle. We also purchased some of their Gruyere Swiss Pimento cheese/other snacks. There was a great food truck stationed at the bottom of the little hill and we took a nice stroll through the winery/tree farm before leaving. Highly recommend!! read more

What a beautiful location with some tasty wines! After a visit to Linville Falls we decided to check out the winery. I had a flight of wine, and enjoyed them all. I also had warm apple cider spiked with their Cherry Bounce wine, which was perfect for a chilly day. We also purchased a small charcuterie plate and some chips to snack on. We ordered our wines inside and sat outside on their large patio that was directly next to their vineyard and a Christmas tree farm! A few things to note, they were only open until 5pm. The day we visited they did not have a food truck but they often have food trucks and live music (check their website for info). Without those things it was probably a little less crowded for us which was nice. read more

I wanted to update my review from last time since my experience was not the best. We arrived around 3PM which is when the live music was actually to start. It was packed, in fact we could not find seating near the wine building, so we went to the barn to enjoy our flights. It was actually nice since we were the only ones in there so it was quieter, and we could still enjoy the music in a distance. This time we actually got to do a wine flight, and we did two of them. What we tried: Pink Lady - tastes like apple. This is what we got a bottle of last time, but now that I've had some of their other wines, it's not a favorite. Strawberry - I really enjoyed this one, very good strawberry wine. Wiseman - only found it to be okay, my husband did not like it at all. Cherry - This was a surprise. You could smell the spice, but it did not taste strong in spice, the cherry flavor was very good. Really enjoyed this one. Mountain White - Just okay. Late Harvest Riesling - This was very good, one of our favorites of the day. Blueberry - Good blueberry flavor. Blackberry - Just okay, have enjoyed other blackberry wines a lot more. My husband liked more than me. Slushy - not sure the flavor, but it was very good! We didn't get any bottles with us this time, but if I did, my choices would have been Strawberry, Cherry, and Late Harvest Riesling. I'd recommend stopping by this winery if you are in the area. This is a beautiful winery. There's a lot of open space for guests to bring folding chairs and blankets to have a picnic while enjoying some delicious wine. The outdoor seating where the main building/store is at is first come, first serve with staff serving you. If it's really busy and the patio seating is full, they'll open up the red barn. They serve wines by the glass, bottle, and flights. If you want food, you'll have to go to the main building/store. The red barn has some long tables and smaller round tables with seating. On the weekends they'll have a food truck and you can check their website to check out all it'll be. Now to their wine... I decided to go with a flight: Brandy Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Red Barn Blend. You can pick any 4 wines and you'll get 2 oz pours. From the ones I tried, I liked the Brandy Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon and the Petit Verdot. The woman serving the wine suggested the Red Barn Blend but I was not a big fan of the spice blend they used. They allow dogs on the property as long as they are on a leash. Which was great for me because I had my husky, Bella, with me. They also had live music while we were there, which added to the great vibes of the place. read more

We really enjoyed this winery. We actually found this place due to a detour on the Blue Ridge Parkway while hiking in July. What a sweet find! Everyone was super friendly and we didn't feel at all out of place in our hiking clothes. They have a beautiful patio with ample tables and shade. Its first come to get the tables but there were quite a few open. They also have seating down by a small pond. The grounds are just beautiful with such nice views from the patio. I got a wine flight and loved the Riesling, which it turns out, they are known for. I ended up purchasing some Riesling to take home. They don't serve food but they had a food truck - Lobster Dog! This is one of my favorite wineries in North Carolina. The first time I came across this winery was on a very spontaneous trip with my cousin in July. We were driving around the mountains (we were a bit lost) and we passed the winery. Even though it was the height of COVID we made an impulsive decision to stop by. At the time they were only doing outdoor seating and gave a wine glass with your wine to take home. It's a beautiful area to walk around when the weather is nice, or bring friends and family. My family loves the blueberry and blackberry wines and now we get a bottle of it every time we go. Last time we were there, we got a wine flight and some cheese snacks, which is a great way to taste their menu. They've got a great collection of local cheeses for purchase as well! read more

So great we visited twice!! I brought 4 of my neighbors/girlfriends up to our cabin from Florida for a fall getaway. We decided to check out the winery which I couldn't believe after all these years I hadn't visited yet. The first visit was just myself and one of the ladies bc we arrived up a few days earlier than everyone else. We chose the 5 wine tasting which I think was $15 and you can choose from all the wines on the menu (2 oz pour). It comes in a cute wine tree (see pic) and you can take your wine indoors or outside to enjoy. There are snacks or purchase or you can bring your own. We sat outside and just spent a couple of hours relaxing. Two days later after the rest of our girlfriends arrived we took them back to see for themselves. It was a rainy day so we all enjoyed our wine inside. The place was packed and they had a great band playing as well. We bought cheese and meat trays and crackers there to enjoy. Most of us are red fans but funny enough we all ended up buying a bottle of their Trillium which is a bright and wonderful White Wine. Just an absolutely wonderful inexpensive way to spend time together!! I can't wait to come back over and over! read more

Super cute winery and the family is very nice. Saw a sign for a winery and spontaneously popped in with our dog. The estate is beautiful with a tasting room, event space, and the grounds are immaculate. Got a tasting flight and sat outside on the patio and they even brought out a water bowl for our dog. Coincidentally there was a gnocchi making class that night and there was space available so we made our own gnocchi and had a 3 course dinner. To my own ignorance, I didn't know there was much wine grown in NC but mostly everything was estate grown and I'm excited to see what the future holds for NC wines. Nice wine selection. They offer make your own flights so you can pick any 4 off the menu to taste. Order at the bar & pick up at the other side of the room. The location is beautiful and there is lots of outside seating. No seating in the main building but the day we were there they had a side space / room open for people who wanted to sit inside. Another very nice winery in the Banner Elk / Blowing Rock area. This was our first time here and we had a nice time. They have two indoor areas that are split by a breezeway that has an outdoor fireplace. They also have a nice wine selection and offer prepackaged snacks such as cheese, crackers etc... The prices here are very reasonable and it's a nice place to stop after a day of hiking, snowboarding or skiing. read more

Braved the storm and ventured to Linville Falls Winery - so glad I did! The warm welcoming atmosphere coupled with the exceedingly friendly staff made for a fun Saturday afternoon! We tried the Petit Verdot which was a delicious, dry red. It was flavorful and drank well! For dessert we tried the Wiseman's View. The bottle and label was so cool! I wanted to take a moment to brag on not the amazing winery, but the tree farm that is owned by the same family as the winery, that also sits on its property. I purchased my tree the weekend after Thanksgiving this year (pictured is my tree today 1/20/2021) meaning I have had this tree exactly 2 months today and look how amazing it still looks, while very much still alive. Quality is exactly what you can expect from both the winery, and the tree farm while receiving top notch service from the Wiseman family. I will continue to purchase my tree from them year after year as long as their doors are open. read more
