This is a lovely hotel on the outskirts of Verona- about 20 minutes by car- which is owned by the Tommasi wine family. It is well appointed with a lovely restaurant, pool, spa, gym and many other amenities. The staff are very helpful and polite.
Breakfast has the usual breads, eggs and meats plus sweet cakes. It's not the best breakfast buffet I've ever seen but it does the job.
The rooms are designed in an older classic style with lots of dark wood etc. My double bed was form- just what I like- and I slept well- I didn't hear any noise at night.
The bathroom is large and comes with a hair dryer, shower gels, soap, and a little vanity set with ear buds and nail file. The shower has plenty of hot water and a decent enough pressure.
We had one dinner and one lunch inn the hotel and we loved the food. The gnocchi is epic!
Outs easy to organise a taxi into Verona and I think this would be a good option if you fancy being a little out of the city with the spa options and treatments. It's also a good base to check out the wineries in the region. We visited Tommasi which was very interesting. read more
