Across the street from Marriott Rive Gauche, stopped in for lunch. The bruschetta was delicious. Margherita pizza portion size was too big for 1. The spaghetti bolognese was flavorful. The penne pasta was light. Our table of 6 ordered a variety of delicious desserts, chocolate mousse, panna cotta, moelleux chocolate, coffee ice cream. The restaurant was full for lunch so we had to flag our server for everything.

We had a lovely meal at Villa St Jacques. I had the spaghetti bolognaise and my husband had lasagna. We also had a lovely bottle of wine. The service was excellent and the meal was so enjoyable! Limoncello completed the meal!

My husband and I were in Paris for 2 nights before we headed to Switzerland. We ate at La Villa Saint Jacques our second night. This quaint Italian restaurant was a 5 minute walk from our hotel (Paris Marriott Rive Gauche). The restaurant was cute walking in. There were windows from top to bottom. As they say, it's always good to speak some French while you are in France to show respect to the locals. At least they will be more kind to you if they see that you've tried. I greeted the man and told him there would be two for dinner. Of course he answered me in English which he was able to speak fluently. I was born and raised in Canada and took French growing up, but haven't used it in a VERY long time! But I'm glad I got some practice while we were in Paris. So we are in Paris and in an Italian restaurant.... what to order??? I skimmed their menu and couldn't help but see how vast their pizza menu was. I ordered a classic Margherita Pizza (just cheese, tomato, basil with a little sauce) and my husband orders one of their specials ( I think it was the Roma.. I can't remember). It came with a bunch of different kinds of meat, peppers, eggplant, and an egg in the middle. The crust is thin, but had a nice smoky taste, I thought the sauce and cheese were perfect. My husband on the other hand, had so much stuff on his pizza, it just made the crust soggy. He said the egg was raw in the middle, but we've heard that's how they serve it. So he just ate it... haha. Anyway, for dessert, we shared an ice cream with chocolate and pears. Overall, it was a pleasant meal. The pizza we had here was actually better than pizza we tried in parts of Italy! So great job.

Villa Saint Jacques is located right next to the Marriott and it was very convenient because I didn't wanna walk in such a cold weather. There were a couple other Italian places in the same corner but I picked here according to yelp. All the server speak English and the menu is in English as well, which is a huge plus. I ordered a pizza because everyone on yelp mentioned it. It was a good size (you can share with someone and order something else, or just for yourself as an entree). I almost finished the whole thing leaving the crust. I actually thing it is the perfect size for a male. I think this place is a good option when you are not so much a French food person and the price is fairly reasonable considering it is Paris.

Took the advice on the Eurostar and asked a local girl in a bank where she likes to eat. She recommend Villa St Jacques. Glad we took her suggestion. It was great. We split a pizza between two of us. It was TERRIFIC!!! Pizza and 2 cokes for slightly over 18 €

First day in Paris, after a busy day we napped a woke up for dinner. This place was 3 mins away from our hotel, the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche. Ordered spaghetti carbonara , Don Carlo pizza and bread. This fed and filled three of us. Friendly staff and attentive. Good good food. Creme brûlée n cappuccino to finish a great first day n night

    Creme brûlée

This was our first meal in Paris. We were duly warned about how service is different in the USA vs here. That being said, that's why there are 4 stars - they are not attentive no drink refills. Lasagna with salad - excellent! Spaghetti bolognese is okay - I always want more sauce...pasta with salmon - my husband really liked it. Desserts were divine! My husband doesn't believe pears should be with ice cream but it works! We were full and satisfied- it's a short walk from the Marriott so we were content. Cost $62 Euro for 3 people

The pasta plates are huge ! Definitely have to share a plate with someone, we had the salad, garlic bread and two pasta bowls. The food was good and the price was great. The guys next to us ordered the pizzaI would definitely go back to try the pizza out !

We were sat done and ignored. I had some good experiences in France and some good food. They served everyone around us and we weren't even given any attention for quite a while. Owner apologized.

Excellent Italian restaurant. The pizzas were really delicious, cooked in a wood fire oven with a thin crust. The pasta dish I took was huge I couldn't finish it. The servers were extremely friendly, really adorable. There was a large TV with a football (soccer) match playing but the sound was cut so it wouldn't disturb conversations at all. The desserts were not as good and clearly not home made, as it often is the case in Paris restaurants. We were all given for free a glass of limoncello with dessert. Would highly recommend!

What more can you say when the chef makes a pizza for you that looks like this? The staff at this restaurant is always sweet, kind, and incredibly nice!! The pizza is great also. The chèvre et miel pizza is my favorite! (I order it every time...I don't even need to see the menu!) Also, try the molten chocolate cake!! How do you say "Yum" in French?! (Use the side entrance for take-away pizza...just pay up front and it is a short wait.)

    Good pizza.

Next to the Marriot. Have been here a few times over the years. . Really nice place, nice folks. Good pizzas (any of them). Also. Sports on the TV. Good beer, sodas, coffee etc. Just a solid place to go. Nice reprive from the hotel. You can count on a good meal, good price, and relaxing atmosphere.

    Five cheese.

So we wandered across the street and found this nice little spot with outside seating and a variety of appealing menu items. We were seated outside quickly and after a little time our waitress came to take our order. As mentioned in my other reviews we have small appetites, so we decided to split the Pizza Salsiccia based on its other reviews. When reading reviews, keep in mind that there are two locations for this restaurant. As I perused the reviews, it appeared that the other location, has more of the five star reviews. Despite that we decided to give it a try. The pizza was flavorful. I am a bit of a pizza aficionado, so my standards are very high. I would give the pizza a 3 star rating because it was very wet in the middle. The type where the topping pull off when pull a slice out. The coffee we had after was very good. Overall I think I can recommend this place with the caveat that I do not recommend the pizza, unless you like that type of dough.

We settled on Ober Mamma, which had wonderful reviews. We got there, there was a line and it was raining. the chances of having a sit-down meal at this packed place were grilled, until they gave us the opportunity to sit outside. We immediately jumped not he opportunity, and immediately ordered. Franchesco came out with his wide happy smile and took our order. He a delight to have wait on us. We ordered the mortadella with pieces of parmigiano, a Smoking Hot pizza, and La Fameus Pate a la Truffe. We also ordered a nice bottle of wine from Sicily, Franchesco's homeland. The pizza and the pasta came out first, and we started eating right away. The pizza had the right amount of heat, and the pasta was not overwhelmed with truffles. Then came the mortadella which was delicious. We would have preferred the mortadella first, but we happy ate it. Inside, the place is huge, and loud. The ambiance is modern and feels upscale. As with all places in Europe, the temperature inside was hot- so we were actually happy to be sitting outside. Luckily we were not getting wet under the awning, but it was cold. Luckily, this place also provides blankets for your legs which we happily used. At the end of our meal, Franchesco brought us some Lomoncello and hung out with us telling us about Italy & France. We had an amazing evening, great food, and even better company. Give this place a try. You will not be sorry.

The story goes that I and the rest of my Nintendo of America colleagues had just finished up a very exciting business conference with our friends over at Nintendo of Europe. After wrap up, we decided to take a small tour around the lovely city of Paris. I, of course, took note of all of the similarities between the real Paris and the version seen in the Mario Kart Tour mobile game. I have to say, Nintendo hits it out of the park once again. We then decided to stop inside the Gemini, since that seemed to be the only restaurant name that I could pronounce. I decided to order the Truffle Pizza, and since I am from New York, I love a good pizza. The first bite and it was already heaven on earth! Truly authentic French food being served at this wonderful establishment. I am also very glad that the waiters entertained my shenanigans when asking them what they thought about Mother 3. I had a good laugh after they didn't even know what I was talking about. Excellent service, great food, and an overall fantstic time for any Nintendo fan wanting to stop in and admire the beautiful jungles of France. On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.
