This restaurant was nearby and we walked in because the decor was super cute and fun. A lot of flowers and bright colors. We also wanted to eat Italian food and figured why not give it a shot. We walked in about 1 o'clock in the afternoon and the restaurant was completely packed from front to end. We were however, seated fairly quickly in one of the only open tables available. This place was one of the most pleasant surprises we found on our 4th trip to Paris. It is near Notre Dame and a great place for lunch after touring the site. The pizza was outstanding and like that we've eaten in Italy. The owners are an Italian family and the food is very authentic. It is like eating a home-cooked meal. The owner is a very entertaining fellow who plays to the crowd with his fine singing, jokes, and urging audience participation, like turning off the lights and asking everyone to turn on their cell phone flashlights during his songs. Came here on the recommendation of my brother for my birthday dinner. It feels as if you are stepping into an Italian Villa in the hills of Tuscany for an evening of good food and memories. We started off the evening with the bruschetta appetizer(without the salmon) which was very fresh and tasty. For my main course I had the Spaghetti Bolognese which came in the perfect portion size. Throughout the meal the staff was very attentive and friendly asking if we needed anything and if everything was tasting good(which it was!). Then for the dessert the staff had brought out a pre planned tiramisu with a sparkler while singing happy birthday to me. It definitely made my trip to Paris very memorable. The owner was very happy and friendly, he played a trick on us it made the restaurant feel cozy. The decor was really cute inside and the location was nice. There was a lot of bars near by. The lasagna was 7/10, 4 cheese pasta was a 3/10 for me. Our absolute favorite was the pizza. I forgot what it was called but it was the last option under Bianca. It was SO fresh, flavorful and exactly what we were craving. We finished the whole pizza there then had to order another one to take back to the hotel. The sorbet was also very good. This place was fantastic. My wife and I and another couple had just learned our champagne event at the Eiffel Tower had been cancelled due to a strike. It was our friends birthday so my wife scrambled to find somewhere for a nice lunch and bottle of champagne to celebrate. She found II Gigolo on Yelp and we proceeded to find it. We were greeted and sat by who we assume was the owner. We never got his name but wish we did. He literally saved the day by making it a very special occasion for our friend's birthday. He would literally sing to her every time he passed the table. He brought her completely out of the disappointment of having her event cancelled. Later on he dimmed all the lights and brought out a birthday cake with sparklers and sang happy birthday in his very good and operatic voice. All the customers joined in. He also did this again for a gentleman who was also celebrating a birthday. All this while continuing to seat customers and serve tables. I can't express enough how special he made the day! We had our bottle and both couples shared bruschetta and pizza which was excellent. So on top of all the great service, the food was top notch.
