This was one of the antique malls/centers my family and I went to one day after the holidays while spending a day in Mount Dora. It's near the restaurant that was converted from an old gas station. There was a good amount of parking for the mall when I went in the late afternoon. This is another location where vendors rent space in the mall and sell their goods under one roof. Any purchases are taken to the front to be rung up and paid for. This one was a bit more organized in the respective stalls and had a good balance of collectibles, home decor, clothing, accessories, and miscellaneous items. I personally saw more retro or modern items in the booths this time versus true antiques or vintage items I feel. Staff were friendly and welcoming to everyone in there. read more

Very disappointing. Village Antiques has quite a few vendors but the turnover of merchandise is very slow. After visiting in October, I returned in January and other than seasonal items the same items were there. I would love to see some of the vendors turnover to bring in fresh and some earlier antiques. We came to this store February this year because of an great experience we had over a decade ago while exploring Mount Dora. There is a large selection of items; from furniture to jewelry to Disney to stained glass lamps to Beanie Babies! You can spend a lot or a little. It seems like there are endless vendors. We were exploring for at least an hour but you could spend hours in this maze! Lots of breakable items close to one another so I wouldn't recommend bringing younger children. Lovely for adults! The only real negative was that one of the ladies working at the counter was having a very loud conversation about a customer that she was very annoyed with for at least 10 minutes. It was a felt a little uncomfortable because you could hear it throughout the antique mall. That took away from the charm a bit. When checking out though, both of the ladies were super sweet and did a great job wrapping everything up. I'd definitely recommend stopping by, whether you're in the mood to browse and relax from a busy day or actively looking for things to add to a collection. Lots of parking. I was just passing through Mount Dora but I brake for antique malls and this one turned out to be great. The Village Antique Mall is conveniently open seven days a week with plenty of free parking in front. Bring your sense of adventure and prepare to spend some time here because there are at least 60 vendors over 12,000 square feet of building. The mall's layout is a maze of aisles and nooks begging to be explored. Each of the booths were set up attractively by theme with so many items to investigate. Inventory included antique furniture, clothes, jewelry, accessories, books, textiles, ceramics, glass, lighting, home goods, vintage toys, holiday decorations, steampunk, antiques, and vintage items. Some of the things that caught my eye were a wall of vintage Tupperware, my beloved vintage Pyrex, uranium glass, an Elvis bust, and beautiful stained glass lamps. If you collect something, they probably have it. Visiting this store is like time traveling through the history of the American home. So many memories are sure to be sparked. Whether you're an avid collector or simply enjoy the thrill of discovering hidden gems, there is no telling what you will find at the Village Antique Mall. If there is a drawback to shopping here, it would be the prices are on the high side. The friendly staff and huge selection however were an added bonus. read more

My wife and I have visited this Antique Mall at least four times, since our arrival in Florida in 2022 and have been impressed each time, until now. We stopped by today, just before 1 p.m., were greeted at the door and informed everything was 15% off, which was great and my wife eventually found a small blown glass flamingo scene to take home. All that aside, I do however believe they should consider moving to a bigger place, as the booths have become very hard to maneuver in due to being packed on every shelf, from floor to ceiling, which you'd think would be a good thing, but instead prevents you from seeing anything, for fear of braking everything. Secondly, for some reason the employees, particularly the long dark-haired younger woman, thought it appropriate to have her conversations on level ten with their co-worker who was standing right next to her. We were not the only people annoyed by this, as you could hear her on the other side of the store. Further, we found many items at twice what they sell for online, but maybe their new goal is to make plenty of money now to get ahead of their going out of business sale in the near future. Finally, they have added a buffet table by the front door, which is great, but leaving shrimp out on a plate is unsanitary, dangerous and against public health code. We don't like spending our time out, unproductive and annoyed, so we will be avoiding this destination in the future. read more

When a customer commented it was sad about the Marlogo shooting (Sunday 2/22) the lady behind the counter with dark hair decided it was a good idea to say "Shame the guy didn't aim and hit someone we all know (insinuating Trump)." I don't care what side of the political front you identify with but wishing someone to be shot is not in the realm of decency. I realize that her attitude doesn't represent those of booth owners, but she IS representing booth owners by working there. We had decided on some tin types & I was GOING to purchase a necklace from a case with a tag of $125 on it but we will not spend our money with an establishment that wishes harm on anyone. While this place always gives me sticker shock, I still usually find some bauble or treasure, tricket or treat to take home. Guitars, vintage clothing, cast iron, jewelry, kitchenalia, and other such oddities. Love my 30s Gillette razor. $10 in Japanese blades, $8 in Italian shaving soap, and a shaving brush have kept me shaving easy and cheap for years and years. Always good fun we like to include with every trip to Mount Dora. read more

If you love antiques, collectible items, and everything vintage, then you must stop at the Village Antique Mall. This store has something for everyone; even we thought we didn't need anything but ended up walking out with something awesome. On our most recent visit, I found some vintage lead motorcycle toys and a few small crystal skulls for a friend who plans to use them for a flea market flip-type project. My wife found a collectible doll and a heart-shaped crystal candle holder she plans to use for a hobby she is started. I found a few CDs for less than $3 apiece (yes, I still use CDs). If you happen to be in the Mount Dora area, definitely stop by and check this place out. You can easily spend an hour here looking around. We had stopped for lunch at the Lake Eustis Waterfront Grill and was heading towards Mount Dora and saw this antique consignment store. We decided to stop here and I'm glad we did. What a nice antique store loaded with lots of very nice antiques. There is so much here, it will take you awhile to see everything. The two girls working at the counter were very unprofessional and downright rude to myself and other customers. They asked if anyone needed to check out as there were several people browsing near the register. No one responded because they were not ready to check out. The two clerks loudly said how rude the customers were and they were 'weird'. I was astounded at their lack of tact or grace. Eva, you lost $100 sale because of the nastiness of the clerks... Pretty decent. Enough good older/primitive items to make it interesting for me, got a few things. Prices seem a bit good to high, as far as that goes. The only real ding I'd give is that they probably need to check their clearance section every day. Picked up two items where a new tag was placed over the old, and a new price written on. We're talking two items that were orig $5 marked down to $2.50. Was told these weren't valid, didn't have a "black dot". Made me feel kinda weird, like do they think I scoped out two items, and to save a total of $5, I planned to come in with tape and a red pen in my pocket to rip them off? Lol. Kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. Probably wouldn't come back unless I was in the area and had nothing else to do. read more

Wow really interesting antiques . I loved the old stoves and the beautiful dressers . When I look at my grandparents pictures and their furniture I see some stuff in this store that is from their era. I even saw toys from when I was a child , wow I am telling my age. My friend did not want to leave this store but I wanted to see more of Mount Dora . I could have stayed in this store for more than an hour checking out the cool old stuff. I bought a beautiful amethyst bracelet for my up and coming birthday. My friend found crystals That she loves and so we dropped some money at this store. This place is HUGE! It's the best antique store I've been to in a long time and I can't wait to visit again! Unbeknownst to us, they were having a store-wide sale, a customer appreciation event with food, and offering goodie bags with every purchase. I've never seen a store, antique or otherwise, put that much thought into their customers. These special events can be found on their Facebook page if you want to plan your visit. They had convenient lockers at the front to optionally place your belongings; a perfect solution for anyone who's had their bag bump into items. (No accidents here!) They also had the most streamlined system to hold items at the counter so you can be completely hands-free while perusing. We found this place by accident on our first trip and now its a must stop everytime we are in town. You never know what you will find when you step through the doors. My mom and I are old hat collectors and the first time we visited she found a few beautiful ones to take home with us at a fair price. This place is very clean and organized and the items here aren't all antiques. I prefer to view a lot of it as vintage. This is usually a regular stop when we come to Mt. Dora, it's one of the larger antique shops in town. The prices seem to be fair and there is a large selection of things from the past. I like that it's organized and easy to browse its clean and the staff is friendly and willing to provide you with help if you ask otherwise they leave you to it so you can enjoy the experience. 8/10/23 - Antique shopping is not our particular interest, but we were on the lookout for something unique to bring back from our visit. The mall rents space to various vendors. It's a big space with lots of aisles and nooks. For anyone claustrophobic this would be a challenging venue. We spent about 90 minutes browsing and musing over a huge variety of items. At our age, it was more than a trip down memory lane. It was like a time travel over our entire lives, a wonderful collection of things either beautiful, fanciful, utilitarian or some combination. The condition of the articles was good to excellent. Although I thought many items pricey, perhaps given the quality that may not be accurate. Certainly it has a reputation for being quite a place to find charming and whimsical pieces. It appears that merchandise turns over with regularity and I certainly didn't see dusty ones as I have at other places I've gone to. On a hot Thursday summer afternoon, it wasn't crowded, but there were definitely more people browsing and buying than I anticipated. Although I didn't find anything I especially wanted to bring home, I'd return to look again if I was in the area. read more

We just moved here to Florida and the start to our retirement has been great I couldn't wait to visit this mall today! This Would have been an amazing time unfortunately the two women that work there weren't that pleasant. Unfortunately for them I guess I took too long looking at pieces . I always take my time looking at each piece I don't but chipped pieces and I won't be rushed either. I buy a lot of glass and I mean a lot. I have over 4,000 pieces of Fenton in my collection so I'm choosy Today was a hard day as I was told my rare tumor was back this morning and wasn't feeling well and I was very excited to go shopping to get my mind off the future . They were very friendly when we walked in and I was like yay score one for this place! It is an adorable place and I did ask to open a few cabinets to see pieces and after the 2nd one it seems to have been a problem. No conversation just a hurry up and put it back if your not buying it attitude. Maybe they are having a bad day like I am who knows? I did buy 8 pieces only spent $100 so maybe they were upset I didn't spend more. We even packed our own glass so they didn't have to! Our choice to do so! We left and once outside my husband says to me BOY they are women haters huh?? I started to laugh and said well maybe they are having a bad day like I am? He said to me the nasty looks from both of them where enough to leave the glass there but he didn't want to upset me with putting it back. They were sweet to my husband so maybe he was right lol they are those women who just are rude to other women! But if my husband says they were rude then you know it's true because he never ever says anything! We got in the truck and checked the receipt and I thought a price was wrong. Hey it happens. I really dreaded going back in there because of the way they acted towards me with the looks and condescending smiles when I walked back in I smiled then the brown hair lady saw me and immediately turned to the blonde and says She is back with a comical smile of disgust. Now I had it! I said yes I'm back and I told her I heard her and said that wasn't nice. I mean why would you even do that? Why act like a mean girl child? You never know what is going on in a persons life and your in business behave and act like professional don't be such a shallow person. Seriously would have came back as there was other items I would have brought I would have stayed longer but we had a Drs appointment at 5:30 sitting here in the waiting room typing this with a sadness for these two women as they lost future business. Sorry but not sorry I'm tired id miserable people these days that are in the service industry! I did my job for 37 years with a smile on my face no matter what or how I was feeling! This is our go to Antique Mall. So many are gone or full of junk. Most are over 1/2 crafts. This is a true antique mall. It is clean, no musty smells and the people are fantastic. They are willing to help in any way they can. And all of them are friendly and truly glad to see you there. We drive 60 miles one way just to go to this mall on a regular basis. Every year for my birthday, our routine was to wake up early and drive to Mount Dora to go antiquing for the day. Our first stop once we got to Mount Dora (even before we stopped for coffee!) was a visit to Village Antique Mall. We've found many hidden gems here over the years. I've lost count of how many kitschy items in my apartment came from this shop. My favorite of all time is this magnifying glass necklace. That seller in particular is now at Renninger's, but it was an exciting moment to spot a unique piece of jewelry that has continued to be my favorite piece to this day. read more
