I realized it had gotten to the point where it was just had no style and based on the glowing recommendations of many of my friends I made an appointment with Melissa. Being the holidays I expected to wait until the new year but she was able to fit me in this week. Having moved right before losing my hair this was also the first time going to a new stylist in a long, long time, but I wasn't nervous at all. I explained what I was thinking (the photos I thought I'd downloaded weren't on my phone) and after showing me some photos Melissa explained what she'd be doing. I especially loved her honesty and straightforwardness, letting me know which hairstyles in the photos were not done well, and letting me know that based on some different lengths in my hair the style would be a little transitional. The cut came out wonderfully, and I couldn't be happier. I look current but not like I'm trying to be in my 30's. My hair looks even thicker and healthier, and this morning it took 5 min with a curling iron to pump up the volume after sleeping on it. So I made my first appointment and ended up having to cancel it at the last minute. I rescheduled and then had to change that appointment. I reached out to her the night before the scheduled appointment to change it to earlier in the day. She was extremely polite about making the changes. That was my first sign that she must be really good at what she does. I showed up to my appointment on time and she took me right in. We discussed what I was hoping for with my hair. She went to work right away and mixed the colors perfectly. I am extremely happy with the color match. I am very excited to find someone in the small community that I can put my faith in.
