Bob has very high standards and takes pride in his work, which shows in the cars he chooses to have on the lot to sell. They provide the carfax in shop, which was nice. I recently was in an accident that left my car totaled that had been in the family and well kept. It was going to provide me value beyond what the compensation is going to be. Since I will be starting medical school this coming August, I was searching for a car that was going to not give me issues and have durability for the PA weather for years to come. That is most certainly what I bought. Included in the price was a limited warranty on all the major parts for four months/6k miles, updated inspection, new front brakes, like new tires, keyless entry, replaced the water pump, among other things. These folks are just terrific. I recently bought a used Subaru Forester from them that was just as advertised, well-priced, and super clean. They couldn't have been more responsive to my questions, did what they said they would do to get the car ready for sale, and in general just seem like very nice people. I'm about an hour away from them, so it's not convenient for regular auto care, but if were closer by I'd certainly take our cars to them. read more

I was concerned that this coupon for a free oil change would mean a hard sales sell. But nothing of the sort and my overall experience was so positive I'm definitely going back! I had an appointment to wait for the oil change, it only took half an hour. The coffee was excellent ("real") and came with real half and half. The owner/mechanic chatted with me. The receptionist (who has been there 15 years) chatted with me just the right amount while I waited. No attempt at all was made to get me to have any other work done. In fact, I was counseled that the bad tire pressure sensor probably isn't worth bothering to fix because when one fails the others are ready to fail behind and it would just be good money after bad. This place is the real deal - a real mechanic, a real family owned small business. Support them! Wow! A friend had recommended Village Center Automotive to me when I need some service on my Subaru Outback, and about a year ago I had the service done there and was thoroughly satisfied. My daughter needed a new car recently, so we checked out the cars at Bob's lot. I had a great experience with Bob and his crew, April, Tyler, and Linda. Bob was very up front about the cars and gave us some great input to help us pick the right one. We had no issues test driving the cars. We mentioned to Bob that my daughter drove a lot, and to our surprise, for no extra cost to us, he put NEW TIRES on the car for us FOR FREE - even though the old tires, while not new, were fine. I am not going to say that he will do that for you, but I am just pointing out how much Bob cares about the experience you get from him. April is just the nicest front office person you will meet, and it was great getting some car tips from Tyler. Bob and his crew are as honest and decent as the day is long...which is refreshing to find. And no sales pressure...trust me, he doesn't have to as his reputation sells cars as fast as he can get them in. Bob was recommended to me by 2 locals and 2 people who live at least fifteen minutes from his shop. His mechanics were able to address some work I needed on my Tacoma and came in lower than other local mechanics. The work done was good, no problems and it was also done by midday, considering the extensive work I had done, I thought it would take longer. They are well versed in Toyota, Honda's, Subaru's, ford and even cadillacs. Then I took my second vehicle there for inspection and they were able to let me know of pending work in the future that would need to be done from what they saw. Even gave me a price quote. So thankful I can buy time to save up for additional work that is expected to fail in the future. Both my vehicles are over fifteen years old so it's nice to have a mechanic who notices things and can share some foresight before I'm blown away by unexpected work. Their prices are reasonable, scheduling easy and work has been done as expected. I would recommend them to anyone who's looking for an honest mechanic that doesn't charge the labor rate that dealerships do because frankly a lot of us couldn't afford to go to the dealer for extensive work that they can do here. read more

Friendly, professional, and knowledgeable staff. My 2001 Outback broke down with a timing belt malfunction on the way through the Allentown/Bethlehem area a couple of days before Christmas. This was a serious problem and I was unsure whether I'd ever be able to drive the car again. Fortunately, AAA arranged to have me towed to Village Center Automotive, where the mechanics had me back on the highway within a couple of hours.
