Having verified this conveniently located, in-network Humana provider, completed new-patient and appointment request forms online, I received a phone call from their office staff. They confirmed my Humana membership with Humana, invited me to be treated as an eye injury or disease (billing as a specialist with associated copays, coinsurance and coverage limits) but refused to provide the annual no-copay comprehensive eye exam! Very disappointing! BTW, is it not more appropriate to visit the ER or an ophthalmologist for eye injuries/diseases? Your response was not accurate. Yelp technical difficulties prevented my response, so I add it as an edit here. I used no curse words and made no inappropriate comments. I simply described my experience and expressed disappointment in the result. The Humana website identifies you as an "in network" optometrist. How or why would one know that an "in network" optometrist does not accept their "vision" component? read more

5 stars for the Doctor who is very patient, explains everything very well and comes across as genuine and caring. I have no complaints medically. For the eyeglasses purchase I am not a fan. Even with VSP plan they were charging me 250 or so for the glasses. VSP recommended eyeconic.com. This time I went online and my total was 49.50. I prefer to stay local but 200 dollars more is insane. Drop your markups to something more reasonable or the online trend will continue. Response to owner I know you stated that it is driven by co pays. My copay for eyeglasses is 10 dollars. The issue is the frame and lens markups that exceed the VSP allowance by a LOT. I got the exact same glasses but a different color and I paid 200 dollars LESS online. Please take the feedback and get better instead of a response that as a businessman I know is not entirely true!!! read more

I have been wearing the same glasses for close to 2 years, and now have avengers duct tape on them keeping one of the sides together (yup, you read that right, it sparks great conversation). Needless to say, i'm extremely lazy when it comes to eye care because of the difficulty to schedule appointments, the madness of who owes what, and usually go to places that have a poor selection of frames. Either ridiculously expensive or look like I bought them from a grocery store cheap. First and foremost, it was VERY easy to schedule an appointment. I went online to their website, picked a timeslot I preferred, and someone got back in touch with me the next day to confirm our time. One thing i'd prefer is avoiding the "middle person" in this and just being able to book and confirm online instead of having to be available to take a call. Not a huge deal though. I showed up at the scheduled time with my son who had never seen an eye doctor, and we were taken back on time and efficiently. The technology was great and far better than i've seen at previous eyecare businesses, the front office team was friendly, helpful and talkative, and walked me through the process. Their pricing was relatively transparent with what I would owe after my discount program (VSP),and my glasses were ready ahead of schedule by a day. Perfect fit! read more

If I was rating just the doctor it would be five stars but the front staff are morons. They told me that I could pick up my glasses but they wouldn't be able to adjust them until "their machine warmed up" because it was in the first 1/2 hour of them opening..... might be nice to tell the customer that BEFORE they come in to pick their stuff up especially when they plan their work day around the office's hours and spending $700 dollars on a pair of glasses. Idiots. See the doctor but get your glasses elsewhere. read more

Village Eyecare is top notch. Dr. Halim has been my eye doctor for me and my family for 10 years. She is always there to answer any questions we may have about our vision. She takes her time when we visit the office and makes sure to thoroughly explain how our vision has changed. My kids enjoy visiting the office since she makes them feel so comfortable. The staff is also incredible and always shows/fits us with the trendiest eye ware. They accommodate our difficult work schedules for appointments and send reminders. I also enjoy her social media posts. She writes a fun fact about vision. I highly recommend this office. read more

Staff was super courteous and helpful when I called to make an appointment for my little one! The doctor is top notch and let me know if i needed additional help with my insurance to just call back and they'd be happy to help. Two eyes are ok at any other doctor but trust your four eyes are in good hands here! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this practice. I was visiting from out of town and had an eye-related emergency. Dr. Halim and her staff were very accommodating and fit me in quickly. Staff was pleasant and courteous. The doctor was great. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to optometrist. read more

Dr. Halim has been my eye doctor for years. She is patient, listens and is very knowledgeable. When we've had pop up visits for me or one of my children, her staff is so accommodating and has been able to schedule us quickly in a pinch!
