If I could give any less then one star I would. First you dilated my husbands eyes when he first hand told you he drove himself there. Then advise him he should not drive for several hours SO WHY WOULD YOU DILATE HIS EYES? Then you kicked him off the property because he couldnt afford your $300 glasses WITH INSURANCE that is IN-NETWORK with you. Money hungry. That is what this office is. You wouldn't even give my husband his script so he could take it elsewhere to get something cheaper. You want him to pay for YOUR GLASSES. I left two reviews one raving about my first appointment being the best I ever had and the second, not so good because it took 5 weeks to get may glasses, and they did not communicate with me when I reached out as to the "why". On the last call, 5 weeks, they made good and texted me to pick-up my glasses. I picked them up the next day and they offered me a $50.00 refund for my trouble. I had to come back and state that they made things right . I am sure this was just a misunderstanding, however, I would tell them that feedback and a promise to get back to you, should be followed through. EDIT: I should not have used the offensive and unfair term "kickback." I should've just said they make more money every time they convince someone to purchase more expensive, lower quality daily contacts than they would if they got monthly. And they do push inferior products. Their employees habitually push daily contacts whether it's a new patient like my wife or somebody like me who's worn monthly contacts without incident for two decades. And the employees argue and actively demand to know why people want monthly contacts if such preference is expressed. Imagine that - imagine a podiatrist trying to sell you 30 pairs of disintegrating shoes instead of one cheaper better pair that actually holds up day after day, and when the patient says they'd obviously prefer the one pair the doctor demands to know why. Really it's despicable- they've shown that deft salesmanship on unsuspecting suckers can have people treating their eyes worse than they'd ever treat their feet. Original review: Be warned, they are highly skilled sales hawks who push things you simply do not need. I believe it borders on unethical. My vision had only worsened by 0.25 and I told them I hardly wear my glasses and only at night-- they tried to convince me to get new glasses with expensive transition lenses. I asked for a doctor's note for car tinting to help with light sensitivity-- they claimed "that's for people with, like, eyeball lacerations" and offered me a $300 pair of military grade periphery-canceling octogenarian visors. I could go on about how they push inferior expensive daily contacts (for which they must receive more profit) on people who are clearly not receptive and have no history of eye infections or how their well-oiled machine shuttles you around from one person to the next before you can realize you're about to drop 2 grand. But suffice it to say if you're being asked to call someone "Dr. Marley" or "Dr. Bryan" and there are no small children in sight you should probably check for your wallet. It's all part of the act to disarm you and take you for a ride. They also heavily police and curate their online image so if you're wondering why their rating is so high that's your answer. read more

They are not upfront with their prices. They made me feel trapped. They were not clear with what insurance would pay and wouldn't until after I invested money I shouldn't have paid. Also, the kid's selection is minimal and super expensive. It cost me 1000 dollars to get my kids vision checked and glasses with insurance. I got new glasses at my eye doctor for $100 with $15 copay. I cannot express my dissatisfaction. Especially after they told me my child was near sited and then I needed to bring them back for $140 to discuss my choices which were not covered by insurance and over a thousand dollars to implement. I will not be returning in the future with my family. read more

Terrible communications. My glasses was 2 weeks late, took a whole month to arrive, that's fine. But not ONCE during this 4 weeks process where they reach out to me regarding any delays or issues. I have to constantly reach out for updates multiple times, if not I wouldn't have heard anything. They said "we will notify you as soon as they arrive", I checked in in the afternoon one day and was told they arrived THAT MORNING, still I had to check in to get that update. For buying an 800% pair of glasses, you would think they would keep you in the loop on what is essentially a needed medical device. read more

After several visits to get contacts prescription right, a 2nd doctor finally suggested dry eyes may be the issue. (Despite extreme dry eyes being noted at the initial exam). Office then somehow 'forgot' to actually schedule the date told to me for dry eye exam recommended, however did not forget to collect the $110 pre-paid requirement. As other reviewers have said, seem to be all about the money, less about patient care. read more

Last week as a brand new patient had my first appt. which was exam, contact fitting and just general overall questions and answers for my eye care. Really unpleasant experience at this eye doctor. The doctor assumed I was diabetic, I assume due to the fact that I am a fat woman, and continued to make these kinds of assumptions throughout my appointment. Nothing in my exam indicated that I had diabetes related eye issues, I told the intake professional that I was not diabetic, and I told the doctor more than once. The doctor I saw went so far as to ask when I had last eaten cause he wanted to check my blood sugar. I left my visit humiliated and frustrated and scared. When I checked in with my primary care physician, she went over my latest blood work and told me I wasn't even pre-diabetic. If you are looking for a pleasant experience with professionals that are sensitive to the needs of all. I do NOT suggest being seen here. read more

Ours is an unfortunate cautionary tale. This is a myopia clinic, preying on the fears of clients to induce them into expensive procedures, not a reputable optometrist. Our 8-year old was dilated with cyclopentolate and remained dilated for over two days, despite being told he'd be dilated for an hour or so. The doctor we worked with repeated the word "disease" and "blindness" in front of our child and even put me into frames to illusrate how bad his vision is, which, upon a second opinion, turned out to be fallacious. Please be mindful of this kind of operation and steer clear. Truly a horrifying experience. read more

I'm writing this as my eyes are still diliated, that's how impressed I was. My reviews on yelp every couple of months or so, but these guys made a lasting impression on me. Cut to this morning - the dreaded 1-800-Contacts telling me my order has been denied due an expired prescription. I'm on my last week on my last pair of monthly contacts. I realize my glasses at this point are not legal for me to drive in. Cue panic. I call in and Justine picks up the phone. Can I get there in the next 2 hours? Can I? This is too good to be true! I get there at 7:15 for my 7:30 appointment and feltl bad that I couldn't get in any earlier because I know 7:30 is the last appointment. You wouldn't know it on either Justine or Dr. Mills the entire time. Both were warm, welcoming and friendly on this rainy and dismal Thursday. I felt comfortable with Dr. Mills - he took great care in checking my prescription and putting my mind at ease after I confessed with my minor eye freakout on Monday and took the time to explain to me what probably happened. Just as I was going to open my mouth and say I can come back at a later time to choose my glasses, Dr. Mills told me Justine would be more than happy to find my pair. My expensive tastes led me immediately to the $450 frames, but Justine was great in helping me find a $200 pair that suited my face even better. She could've easily tried to push me into the more expensive pair that didn't look as good, but that wasn't even a question. She then was tasked at figuring out my vision insurance - who didn't give her all she needed. We're at 8:30 at this point after the exam and choosing frames, and she still never wavered from a smile. I was blown away. From sign in to check out, I spent more than I would have on that original contact order this morning since I ordered a new pair of glasses, but it was 1000% worth it. I haven't bought a pair of lenses in over 8 years, but I knew tonight I wanted to buy it from them. If you're in the area and you're looking for a new eye doctor, look no further. I had an unbelievable experience and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I am 47 years old and now have the best vision of my life. I have Keratoconus and had Cornea transplants back in 2001 and 2003, with improved vision that has been progressively getting worse. My vision with correction was 20/80 and 20/100 with glasses. Premier Eye and Dr. Brian Samartino changed my life, as my last appointment with my new Scleral Lenses was 20/15 in both eyes. I can't believe it either!!!! Their equipment is state of the art, and their attention to detail has made my experience unbelievable!!! I had a great visit here. The office is very clean and technologically advanced as far as testing. I work in healthcare, and cleanliness means everything to me. I was very impressed. The staff was very friendly, especially Ashley. I know that she takes care of the Instagram for the office, but I know that these reviews mean more to area locals. She helped me pick out two pairs of glasses and dealt with me the whole time, which is probably difficult. The parking in the back of the office is very helpful as well. BY THE WAY, if you guys are reading this...I stole your idea for laminating the consent form and using a dry erase marker on it for signatures! I have been seeing Dr. Samartino over the past 6 months for scleral lenses. They are costly and a big decision, but I am certainly glad I went for them. I have severe dry eye, and these lenses alleviate all of my terrible symptoms. Scleral lenses are a specialty, and most eye doctors are not familiar with fitting and prescribing them. Dr. S. is a total professional and a "dry eye nerd" / scholar, as he describes himself - lol. He really does know everything about dry eye disease! He is caring, never rushing you, and always answering my plethora of questions at each visit -- (and I have a lot of them -- as a bossy RN w/ an autoimmune disease). Premier Eye is the best eye doctor I have ever been too. They are very tech friendly and make it extremely easy to set up an appointment, your follow up and confirm - all with the click of a button... of course you have the option to call, too, but in this day and age, email/text is really the best way to go! Love that about them. I go to Dr. Mills and he is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He did a Optos Retinal Scan which let me see inside my eyes like never before. This is something new and exciting that his office is doing as well. If cleanliness is important to you, don't look further. They have the cleanest office I have ever visited. All brand new, fresh and modern. Very nice touch. The front desk ladies were fun and helped me (tirelessly) pick out glasses (they have great variety). Very knowledgeable and helpful regarding my insurance questions - that is a HUGE plus! It is also really cool to mention that this is a small business (NOT A CHAIN). They are also paperless - which gains many points with me! One last thing... if you are afraid of that little puff of air.. have no fear! They don't use it... they use a different method which doesn't even make you flinch. That may matter to some, so I felt like mentioning... You can tell the staff truly cares about their patients and go above and beyond to make them feel comfortable while also letting them know the latest regarding eye care. This is my second time here, and I can't say enough great things about Premier Eye Associates, and all the wonderful people who work here. I have not written many reviews, but felt compelled to write for Premier Eye Associates. I first went to Premier as it was close and convenient to my work and could get there easily from the City where I live. Turned out to be a great decision. I first saw Dr. Mills. He was professional and extremely knowledgeable. During my visit, he explained a revolutionary new treatment called GVSS (Ortho- K) that they offer and thought I might want to consider. This is a treatment that you wear a hard contact to bed at night (while you sleep) and it shapes your eye so that when you take out the hard contact in the morning you DO NOT NEED CONTACTS! It is basically a non-surgical lasik procedure, which I was interested in. He explained it as braces for your eyes. I was a -3.25, and within minutes of wearing these hard lenses I could basically read from afar. One night wearing the contacts to bed and I could see perfectly (20/20) in the morning. I now wear the hard contract at night and see better/just as good in the morning and throughout the day without contacts. It truly is so awesome. I have been telling a lot of people about the treatment, and most of their eye doctors have never even heard of it. I did my due-diligence and it is completely safe. No different than wearing contacts during the day. I now do not need to buy contacts every year. The Office has great hours, even later appointments on Weds/Thursday. Both Dr's are really friendly. Just an all around great experience. If you are looking for a new Eye Doc or feel like you are not getting the best care, I would definitely recommend making an appointment at Premier. read more

Just went to see Dr. Samartino for an eye exam. First of all, the location is very easy to find with a very welcoming store front. Entering Premiere Eye Associates, it was extremely clean and modern looking. Justine and Tracy are extremely helpful when I came in, really felt like I was being treated like family. I have been going to eye doctors for 20 years and I have never seen so much cool technology. Dr. Samartino even showed this really wild 3-D image of my eye that I could finally see what the astigmatism meant for me. On top of clearly being knowledgeable, he was very thorough explaining all the tests and answering my questions. I can honestly say that I have finally found MY eye doctor and happily drive from Pennsylvania to get checked out.
