Not sure what this is but looks pretty cool

Absolutely love this park! It only reminds me how amazing the city we live in is (not that I would ever forget!). I like to call you the work-out park as you always see different groups of people working out - and if that doesn't motivate you - I do not know what does. There is a walking/running trail around the park. The park itself is split in different parks. There's a dog park, a soccer field and a phenomenal playground. The park itself is really clean (even the bathrooms are) and well-maintained. You'll find beautiful trees and fountains as well. There are plenty of eating opportunities in walking distance and a public library right across. I hope they're gonna maintain this beautiful park as it is!

Spent Sunday afternoon at Village Green Park with my dog. Walked around the main park and then let the puppy run around the dog park. Quality Located in the center of Key Biscayne, Village Green Park is a nice, quiet recreational area. Although a portion of the park is under construction, most of the park is still open to the public. It has large sports fields, tons of playground space, jogging and walking paths, and a dog park split into large and small dog areas. It is a nice park for families and dog owners who want to let their little ones run around. Quantity Village Green Park is about two blocks long and one block wide. It is not too large, but it is more than enough to handle the residents of Key Biscayne and a few stragglers from the mainland. Value The park is free to use and street parking around the park is also free. The only cost is the toll to come over to Key Biscayne, which can be avoided if you take a bike instead of a car. Ambiance Village Green Park is a smaller park found at the center of Key Biscayne. Within the small downtown area lies this beautiful green space. On the west end of the park they have a dog park with a set-up for both large and small dogs. This fenced in area has plenty of space for dogs to run around off the leash, including hills, different terrain, and even a water sprayer. Next to this area they are doing some construction, which appears to be setting up for additional facilities. Then they have a wide open green space that could be used for football and soccer fields. And on the east end of the park they have a massive playground area. Swings, slides, climbing walls, and anything else you could imagine. This portion of the park also has a bathroom for visitors. It is a nice, simple, and safe park. Crowd It was a gorgeous day so lots of people were out and about. The playground was filled with screaming children, the fields had lots of kids and adults playing soccer, and a few fitness groups were doing exercise near the paths. The dog park area was relatively quiet with just two or three dogs in each, but the dogs did not seem to mind. Service The park was pristine, even with the construction going on. I'm shocked that the dog park is not more popular as it has to be one of the nicest and cleanest in Miami. Parking Tons of street spots are available along the border of the park. Parking is free and super easy to find, even on the weekend. Extra Village Green Park is a nice park, with an excellent dog park. Even with construction, it is very clean and beautiful. The free parking makes up for the fee to come over the bridge. There are no water views from its location, which is the only downside, considering water is so close in every direction, but it is still a wonderful park to visit.

Dear Village Green Park, Thank you for providing a giant, beautiful, very green park in the middle of the island of Key Biscayne. Lush, green fields for playing soccer, and a playground for kids to make any child squeal with glee. There are tons of trees to provide lavish shade, and benches to sit and take a load off. Often, I meet my good friend for a picnic lunch, where we have the chance to sit, eat, catch up, and relax. The warm breeze and shaded benches make for a great break from the stress of the day. I believe the park also has wifi, as my phone is always picking up a signal when I'm there. Also, I think through the Community Center, one can enroll in different activities and programs at the park, mostly for children. Thank you for your beautiful landscape and for being my peace within the chaos. I owe you a plant or something. ;-) Love & light, SabrinaAnna*

Love this cool little park. I bring my kid here all the time. There's always plenty of kids Of all ages to play with. The playground area is pretty big so there's plenty of space for everyone. Sometimes I meet new parents and see some of the same faces every time I go. Once in a while you'll see a van driver around selling ceviche which is awesome. While my son plays with other kids, I like to bring my blanket and just get some good yoga time in the grass area. Other times I'll bring a book and just read. They also have a dog park with is great for pet owners. Looks nice. Even though it's a playground, when you sit off in the grass area it's kind of quiet. I definitely recommend this park if you want to get some cool playtime in with your child.

Crandon Park is home to various ecosystems, from dunes and mangroves to coastal hammock and seagrass beds and rare plants like the Biscayne prickly ash and beach peanut. Underwater, fossilized reefs and colorful sea life give divers and snorkelers plenty to explore. Crandon Park comprises the northern portion of Key Biscayne (almost 7 miles southeast of Miami). The key began as a coconut plantation, before being donated with the stipulation that Miami-Dade County uses the land as a public park. These birds are adorable, but they are threatened by habitat loss. There is a volunteer who regularly checks for Piping Plovers during migration, and she looks for bands that reveal the path of the bird's migratory flight. It's important that we have places for these birds to forage, and I hope the city continues to protect this beach for that use. The bathrooms were a welcome amenity. I had problems paying the parking fee, it was a complicated process. There were about 10 peafowl (peacocks) that roamed the park, a remaining vestige of when this was a zoo. There were many wild birds throughout the park.

The installs were fully booked a few weeks out. I had asked if there's anyway it could be installed a bit sooner as I had grandkids coming for a weekend. Mike was very kind and said he could make that happen. Sure enough, two days before the grandkids arrived the place was installed and the team did a beautiful job. They were very professional and very kind. They also installed a section of artificial grass for us.

Whether…read moreyou are thinking of choosing the Hitching Post because they are the Eagle Collection shed dealer for South Florida, or because you've driven by the Hitching Post' location and see great-looking sheds on display, it is my opinion that you should shop around. Hindsight is often 20/20 but if we were to do it all over again, we would have not moved forward with the Hitching Post for our backyard 10x12 "she shed." Some lowlights: Considerable delays - we had a comfort level when we met with the Hitching Post, and after we made our 50% deposit, they suggested we may have a completed shed within a couple of months. But we didn't have a "completed shed" for over a year and in my opinion, that was an unreasonable amount of time due to delays. Three failed inspections led to approximately three months in delays alone. In my perception, there was countless finger-pointing between the salesperson, office staff, owner, and sub-contractors and it appeared to us that many delays over the course of several months were caused by significant miscommunication within the Hitching Post office (whether it be with their staff, engineers, workers sent out to perform each stage of the construction, and/or the City)--not merely due to workers' unavailability. We signed our contract in October of 2023. In June of 2024, Hitching Post required we pay the remaining balance before they would come out to complete construction. We perceived this to mean the shed would be completed soon thereafter. By October of 2024, from my perspective the Hitching Post became unresponsive and that only by us communicating directly with the GC that we were able to get the shed "completed" to pass final inspection. (The GC was a bright spot to us in this whole experience!) Final payment was made in June 2024; the shed was not "completed" and did not pass final inspection until November 2024. In my opinion, the product we ended up with is not like what is on view at the Hitching Post property/"showroom" due to an apparent lack of care to avoid damage to the exterior during installation (and re-installation to correct permit-related mistakes) and apparent lack of attention to detail in the "finish" work leading to a laborious DIY scenario with the aesthetics. Overall, I perceived this to be a negative experience, and I felt it was important to provide my opinion out of concern for other members of the public looking to invest in this type of home improvement.
