Extremely organized with amazing staff, the location of this venue is about 45-50 minutes out from Miami South beach. I would recommend getting here by car as there is plenty of free parking. They will assign you to a group with a wristband that will have a designated color. You'll arrive on time but that essentially means you've checked in and secure your spot. It would be about 10 minutes before you head out on your tour. They have an amazing gift shop with lots of little trinkets. You get a free picture at the dock. They also have a cute little restaurant attached that sells bar and stadium type food. There is plenty of space for sEating. The tour itself is so incredible! You zoom through the Everglades and see plenty of wild gators! Soooo cool! The guide was very knowledgeable on the history of the Everglades and was able to shed light on various areas of the glades as we would pass by them. I loved that he knew a lot about the species of aquatic life and on land creatures! So cool!! read more

The airboat is well worth the price of admission because they do donuts and other fun stuff on the boat! They also provide you with safety ear wear some that the noise from the boat doesn't hurt your hearing. The park itself is sometimes sad - the emu peck at each other, the mountain lion walks in circles around the cage, and there are hundreds of alligators on top of themselves. There is an alligator show where they feed some of them rats...and tell some jokes. The gift shop is another thing all together full of chocolate alligator poop. And there are alligator themed things all over the place. The good news, their signage is great and the grounds are cleaned and well maintained. Their bathrooms are super clean as well. read more

Been in South Florida a few years and always wanted to try this. My brother was in town and he was game. We reserved online and went out to the meetup location. You're kinda just driving and it's not quite clear where you are going to end up but we were able to figure it out. Before you board, your guide comes around and collects payment. Then you board. My brother and I rode with a family. I really enjoyed how knowledgeable our guide was about the Everglades and its various inhabitants. I am so glad that we took this Everglade Airboat Nature Tours with this company. This is a semi-private 90 minute tour. I would basically say it was private because there were only two other people with us. Their boats are on the smaller size, only sitting 4-6 people including the captain. Captain Lorenzo was the perfect tour guide. It's apparent that he loves his job. He showed us around the everglades, and explained the different species, and plant life, and how they are intertwined. Because the airboats are very loud, and noisy, Captain Lorenzo stopped the airboat several times, while he took the time for us to actually touch, and feel the environment instead of just speeding by. At one spot while the boat was stopped we had a visitor come, and visit us. "Jack", I don't remember what kind of bird he is, but Captain Lorenzo gave us some sunflower seeds to put in the palm of our hand, and "Jack" perched himself on my hand, and proceed to eat the sunflower seeds. How cool is that! Thanks Captain Lorenzo. Another time Captain Lorenzo spotted an alligator, and stopped the boat so that we could get a good look, and actually soak in what we were seeing. Captain Lorenzo answered all of our questions, and I learned so much about the everglades is was very interesting. Did you know that the depth of Everglades only comes up to your knees? Well the part we were at. There is also a predator that has taken over the everglades, and has no business there, and is killing off the natural wildlife? Pythons! For whatever reason, be it being transported by Hurricanes and/or Man. People buy them as pets, and when they keep growing they are hard to manage, so the owners dump them in the everglades. Pretty soon there won't be anymore alligators. When the tour guides see a Python, they jump in, and take it out. I'm glad that didn't happen on our tour, even though that would have been pretty cool to see. After our fantastic "Highly Recommend" experience with this tour company, we wanted to go again, and drove down the street, and took a tour with a different everglade airboat tour company, one with a BIG airboat that seats 50 people! Let me just say... I was glad "Everglade Nature Tour" was my first experience, because the other everglade tour was such a disappointment. (I will write a separate yelp review on that company, which won't be favorable, sorry but I have to report the truth) Don't hesitate booking this tour, you won't be disappointed. read more

LOTS OF RED FLAGS Booked a tour last night for today but when the reservation came up it said the tour was booked for July 3rd and not the date I specifically put in (April 10). There is no place on their website to cancel so I sent an email and attempted to call their posted phone number which DOESN'T RING and just goes straight to the mailbox saying it's full and then hangs up... VERY SUSPICIOUS! Hard to believe they have such high ratings if you can't get in touch with anyone.. how can a company who claims to have one of the best ratings not have anyone pick up their phones or manage their voicemails? Additionally, their reservation email said they only take 50% as a "nonrefundable deposit" but when I checked my card this morning, it says they've already taken the full payment... Seems like they are doing an awful lot to keep our money! read more

Boat ride with guide was fantastic until we crashed! 7 of 10 of us went into the water. ( scary) ( I had mild concussion, not the worst of the injuries) Police, reports, etc for hours. Cold. Wet (I had to ask for food and water, so unprepared!!) Driver agreed it was his fault ( I won't say his name, because he fessed up, and is a very nice young man) We filed lawsuit (s) Somehow all got dismissed. (Egads) So beware! There are so many airboat tours on hwy 41, but this one is the one to book. It's a little pricier than the other tours but you get a 90 minute ride, it is worth it. We had sooo much fun on this trip. Loved the small boat so we didn't have a lot of other people to deal with and all questions were answered while out on the tour. One of the coolest experiences ever. Our tour guide, Steve, was friendly and very knowledgeable. We had a "semi-private" tour, but it was only one other couple on the boat with us. Four people total. I loved how we glided on the water. It was so cool to see how almost all of the Everglades is water. Steve also told us that it is not a swamp, but a river. Steve gave other interesting facts and I felt extremely knowledgeable afterwards. We got to see 3 gators on our tour, as well as fish and many different birds! We booked a 1.5-hour tour over the phone; confirmation was quick and I got all the necessary information in good time. Note that the company does not actually have a physical office (at least, not nearby), so remember to visit the bathroom before going on the tour. Our captain was Matt, who was very funny, professional and outgoing. We launched very promptly and got to see some spectacular landscapes of the tall grass, blue skies and clear waters. The airboat ride was smooth and comfortable, although the engine was roaring all that time (no problem for us). We got to see a variety of things out on the river (not a marsh, not a swamp, A RIVER), including Lola the female alligator, New Guy the male alligator, remnants of a python and the remains of a gator nest. We also got to touch and taste saw grass and feel the natural gauze made from cattail grass. Matt was very knowledgeable and told us so much about the biology and habits of alligators and uses of plants in the Everglades by Native Americans. It was a great learning experience! We felt safe during the trip, even though the alligators were really close to us, due to Matt's confidence with the terrain and fauna in the area. We also enjoyed just chatting with Matt about his experiences out in the Everglades, his other occupations and fishing. We left the tour feeling very enriched and in awe by everything that morning. Captain Steve is the man! This airboat ride was informative, fun, and quite the good time! Due to the construction, a guide met and greeted us off the highway in order to direct us to the boat. Very helpful. The ride was about an hour and we saw quite the variety of birds, fish, and some gators! I would bring a light jacket for the early morning rides. Definitely sunscreen and you can skip the bug spray when it is hot outside. This was a great adventure and I didn't feel like it was a tourist trap like some other rides I have been on. read more

ENT is a extremely professional and slick operation. On vacation in Miami we booked last minute for the next morning and went on an hour long private tour with captain Ozzie, who is a legend! We were very lucky and had great weather and Ozzie was an amazing guide, he knows so much about the environment and history of the Everglades. The actual air boat is awesome and flying through the Everglades was so much fun, we were lucky to see baby alligators, and big male and female alligators among other birds of prey and wildlife. The company is very respectful of the environment and the wildlife. I highly recommend ENT if you're looking to do an Everglades tour, they aren't the cheapest tours available but you get what you pay for and this was money well spent. read more

What can I say about ENT & Capt. Steve Gagne?! We had such an amazing time out on the Freedom. Our captain was informative w/out making it feel like a classroom & authentic enough to assure us that it was not the home home of the mouse in shorts. It was our first time on an airboat, and maybe 2 hours was a little aggressive, but Capt. Steve helped us settle right in. He gave us history, facts, & hard truths about the Everglades. OK, I'll jump on the boat! This was our second Everglades airboat tour and it was PHENOMENAL! The smaller boat made it even more special. Lorenzo, a true naturalist, covered many aspects of the Everglades area that others just don't mention. He also is highly supportive of caring for the entire ecosystem. We did see a few gators, several types of birds, turtles and lots of plant life with explanations. We went on a semi-private take a walk tour. Our guide was Ozzy. He was a terrific font of knowledge about the Everglades having lived here all his life. Our tour was basically a trump through a dried-up swamp. Only dried up because it is the dry season. We had great fun. We are experienced hikers so Ozzy was able to tailor our walk to our knowledge and experience. I know Everglades nature tours offers other types of Tours. I would highly recommend a take a walk tour. Just be sure you have the proper Footwear and are prepared for a walk through the woods. No learn a lot about natural history. Ozzy taught us how to identify orchids on the trees which was very cool.
