My problems with Energize Health Club starts before I even get inside. Not because there's no…read moreparking (there's plenty) or I am a hater of exercise, but because it is a local business spelling it's name in an American fashion. But we'll see if the grammar freak can get past that and have a good workout. Entering the "health club" (the presence of a squash courts and onsite physio does not a health club make; you're a gym!), I'm greeted by the staple of gyms worldwide - an extremely perky receptionist who somehow knows my name. Standard behaviour. The gym itself has a fair bit to offer - its range of classes is good, and the machines are generally new and good quality. But the problem of having to wait for a machine at peak hour is quite prevalent here. Although not a weights user myself, I'm told that they are particularly troublesome at the six pm mark. The gym also has an onsite, affiliated physio - again, not personally necessary. But probably good if you're in a bind! But the size of the gym is problematic; I would say, metaphorically speaking, that it's eyes are bigger than it's stomach.

From the owner: Energize is more than just a gym. It's community, it's fun, it's friendly and it's about people…read morejust like you who want to stay fit, healthy and active.
