Living in Tewksbury for a few decades the town goverment is not as it was .. not responsive with…read morethe street maintenance and other town services. I had a conversation with the town manager about route38 and why this road is in bad condition compared to Lowell/Wilmington his comments to me , he had no issues .. As was also mentioned living in a 1000sq foot ranch house , the taxes are $5,000 .... taxes on small old 40-60yr 1000sq foot homes have increased 50% more than the newer houses over the last few years. then the power outages .. reason the loss of power is the tree department does not respond / act to cut down DEAD trees .... The electric company only trims branches , does NOT cut down trees DEAD, that will take out a few power poles ...been thru this many times.. they stated, its the other organizations responsibility .. the sewer project when completed did not properly pave the roads. the roads have no crown .. so when winter arrives the snow melt flows in the streets , then the town dumps tons of rock salt and other corrosive damaging chemicals , along with overtime costs .. normal winter they dump 3 times a day these damaging chemicals in the streets... This maybe why we have trees dying and the power outages .. this also will also create damage to our vehicles . many properties along route 38 are vacant due , to how this town is managed ,,,... The police and fire departments do a great job.. DPW not good.

This town is average suburban Massachusetts. Not much to say. Lots of strip malls and lots of…read moremediocrity to go around. Don't go looking for a good time. You prob won't find one. Would consider checking out towns to the south. Atleast Wilmington has a sonic.
