The staff at BMS is incredibly diverse, which contributes to a rich learning environment for the children. Miss Rubina takes a close interest in our son's progress, even suggesting curriculum and activities to keep up through the summer, which he has shown a keen interest in. The staff are incredibly involved and considerate. We are so grateful we have a wonderful school that we have confidence sending our child to. The only thing we are sorry about is that the school doesn't go beyond grade 1, we would stay as long as possible in this rich, nurturing environment.

We tried both the beginner and preschool programs at Keystone. While the initial visit was…read moreimpressive, our experience -- especially in preschool -- revealed deeper concerns. As the school has grown, warmth and flexibility seem to have given way to rigid policies. Keystone has one of the shortest school years and the least daily learning time, with frequent celebrations disrupting classroom flow. Some children need more structure and connection, but concerns were often dismissed. Negative reinforcement ripples through the class, and parents are made to feel small rather than supported. Staff appear professional, but interactions often felt cold. Don't just trust your gut during the tour -- notice how you feel dropping your child off each day. Trust your child. Speak up, even when it's uncomfortable. Things may have improved since, but more openness and responsiveness are still needed.

The amount of stuff they do every day is light years beyond what I would do with them if I were a stay at home mom. My older daughter JUST turned 4 and is starting to sound out words. She knew all of her letter right after she turned 3. My younger daughter has a few learning issues- she was nonverbal long after her friends all started talking and has some sensory integration issues. I had her assessed, but she ended up not needing services and I think a lot of that reason is because she's in this school. They are both so loved and cared for- the teachers become part of our family. On a more practical side, I LOVE the diversity that they are both exposed to. They completely take for granted that people come in all forms and I love that. I also love that they were both exposed to Spanish (at my request) when they were babies. I can't speak any other language no matter how hard I try. I really hope they can break that pattern! They get: - formal music classes every week - Pictures emailed to me every day showing me what they do - An awesome literacy and math program - Pizza lunch every Friday - Teachers who love them and are dedicated to what they do. I'm already getting nervous about leaving, and that's years away!

Now our daughter is in a two-year old class and the teachers are helping her learn the alphabet and numbers and colors and are even doing a ton to help with toilet training, which is amazing. Every day, our little girl comes home learning something new--talking better, counting to ten...it's amazing. And she's happy! One thing I love about the school is that the owners are really great about communicating with us as parents, and the teachers are too. We actually get a daily e-mail (also communicated through an app on our phone) with pictures of our daughter and details ranging from what she ate to when she pooped to all of the activities that they did and how they enhanced her learning in different areas like social skills or gross motor movement or math or language. There's also usually a picture of her and there's always a "memorable moment" from her day. The classes at Goddard are small compared to other childcares, which has been great in terms of giving our daughter individualized attention as well. In short--I cannot recommend Goddard highly enough. As a parent, I feel safe and secure and confident sending my daughter here!
