As a time when customer service seems to be lacking my experience at this location was above anything I've experienced in a while. Great service they made you feel so welcome like an extended member of the family the kindness they showed to other customers as I waited. The drinks were cold. The coffee was strong. The food was absolutely delicious. I recommend if you live near here or pass through here as I did today, please stop and grab you a sandwich & chips with an ice cold drink. . Get some great coffee all while spend ing your money at a place that is about customer service and quality of ingredients and products. Enjoy my visit here. This review is solely for Village Subs. We've stopped here for the past couple years on our way to the beach. My mom ordered the #4 Clubhouse Sub (half) (turkey, ham, bacon, american cheese) with mayo, lettuce and tomato. She liked the sandwich but the bacon could have been crispier. I ordered the #12 The Bob Johnson (half) - (House of Radford chicken tenders, provolone) with pickles and mayo. It was terrible with a capital T. The chicken was so hard and dry that I couldn't even bite into it. I brought it to the employee's attention and they couldn't have been nicer. They profusely apologized and made me a ham sub instead. My dad ordered a tuna sub with lettuce and pickles. He thought it was good. One major con was there was a ton of flies around the toppings area. I witnessed a fly land on the lettuce, then the pickles, then tomato before an employee swatted it away and proceeded to put it on the sandwich for the man behind me. Yikes! read more

This is your above average on stop road trip quick stop for drinks, caffeine, subs, snacks, stretching your legs, gas, and so on. Located right off the 40 highway, the Village Store has a gas station attached to it with pretty standard prices, an indoor Starbucks mini station, the Village Sub shop, and a standard 4-5 aisle selection of junk food and snacks for the road. I stopped 3 times in search for healthy energy drinks in a 120 mile distance coming from West/inland and this was the best selection I could find. Drink wise, the best options to my liking included Vitamin Waters, Non-dairy Muscle Milk, Organic energy drinks (with 44g of sugar), and the self serve Starbucks station. For food I enjoyed a #13 spicy chicken and black bean sandwich at the Village Sub, which was supposed to be wrapped in a tortilla but the gal working was new and spoke little English, plus the sound barrier that protects the sandwich bar from bugs and people's germs made it difficult for her to hear me - wheat bread was still tasty though for $5 road trip food. The parking lot here is very large and accommodating and there's picnic tables outside and in for groups and families to eat at together, plan their next routes, etc. There were bathrooms inside to the back center, though I didn't try them myself. The line moves very fast and the customer service was kind and attentive at the front counter. Overall, just a good quick stop for a decent bite, refill, and stretch out. read more

I cant speak too much about the gas station as it was just an average station. With attendants that seemed bored and not too attentive. However the sub station inside!! I wish, do I ever wish this was a chain that was everywhere because I do believe they would compete with any large sandwich chain and beat most. I stoped in on my way traveling to I-95 from the 40 connector. Its a quaint deli inside of a gas station right before you jump on I-40. Everything is fresh and man do they give you portions that will satisfy any appetite. I ate one half of the sandwich and couldnt attempt the other half until 4hrs later. Superb deli style sandwiches. Im altering the route that I normally use to this one just so I can pick up some more of their sandwiches for the trip. read more

Been to this store many times..but never at at the Village Subs inside. I have to say that was a great sub sandwich that really hit the spot. The meat was sliced fresh right in front of me and made perfectly to my order. Prices were decent as well. Definitely recommend if you're in that area..and want something different than a burger or usual drive-thru food. read more

Very clean bathrooms and store. The subs are really good but the gas is the highest around.

The Village Subs located in the store is quite tasty with fresh veggies and they slice the meat individually for each sandwich. We were on a rode trip and looking for a quite, inexpensive bite and this place fit the bill perfectly. Clean restroom too. We left pleased. read more

Everything is over priced and the staff are rude. The last time I went in there one of the cashiers and I were conversing about the recent hurricane and current road closures. She picked an arguement with me over road openings. I tried repeatedly to advise her she could get somewhere as there were two road openings for that area and that I had been down both ( I live and volunteer there). When she blatently called me a liar, I walked out and told them to keep the change. Maybe she can buy some brains or atleast some professionalism. I wont go back till shes terminated. read more
