Like for many others, perhaps, things since the pandemic have been pretty unsettled and chaotic. On top of that, there seems to be an inherent disorder, or chaos, to my life, despite my best attempts to right the ship and keep it on an even keel. Things just have not gone very well, though I have managed to at least keep a roof over my head and, more importantly, over my beloved pets' heads. I chose Saginaw over other places both in Michigan and in other cities/states, and discovered Green Acres Apartments as part of that search. I took a gamble, and rented a unit sight unseen at this apartment complex. My past few times with this experience have been, well, not great, though, again, at least I managed to have a place to live, amazingly enough. I was really worried about this apartment, based on past and present experiences in renting. I was also very, very tired and burned out, and feared that this place would be another storm I would have to weather in my journey to find a place, and a city, I could settle into for a while (and even just to catch my breath). I needn't have worried. Green Acres is the best place I have ever leased in all my 30+ years of renting. I came prepped with an arsenal of cleaning supplies (I used to clean professionally, and have high standards), but the place was so clean, I only used a handful of supplies. Everything really was "freshly painted" and I loved everything about the apartments down to the the cat-friendly large windows and the charming retro feel of the cabinet hardware and the wonderful quirky bathroom. I sat in my living room that first night after my stuff was moved in, had a cup of tea, looked out the tall window that overlooked the lovely courtyard--and felt so calm and at peace. The staff at Green Acres, from the very beginning, have gone above and beyond to help me settle in in several ways--none the least with the welcome box of delectable pastries that were a much-appreciated treat that first day as I tried to restore enough order among the moving boxes to have a place to sleep (and a pathway through the apartment!). I would highly recommend Green Acres as a "safe harbor" place to call home.

They're staffing seems nice at first when they're trying to get you moved in and take your money…read morebut after they get you moved in they're rude and honestly the apartments are over priced, I wouldn't suggest living here either if you work a late shift job or are just trying to relax on a day off cause they allow the lawn mowing company and bush trimming company to come in at times of 8am to 9am and be loud af for hours. Also if you have any issues with other tenants good luck getting them to look in to things and do anything about it cause they won't. People throw trash out of their cars all the time across the apartment complex. It's also way over priced. So I would just highly recommend not coming here

I initially moved in as a last resort. The move-in process was ok, she forgot to give me a parking…read morepass. Also, when I moved in there were several issues with the unit I was in. There were multiple floods in the kitchen, and dining room causing me to some days have to call off of work and rearrange my work area which was in the dining room. People also left their laundry in the washers and dryers for 1-2 days forcing you remove their clothes from the dryer. The next thing that happen which was a huge turn off to me. A guy was attempting to enter my unit through the balcony, and when I opened the blinds and yelled at him he says OMg I'm so sorry. The he stands there for at least 5 minutes. I called the police that night and management in the morning. I asked for the tenants name so that I could report him because not only did she(Kim Salas) describe this man down to the dog he walks everyday, she told me she had contacted Saginaw Township PD and they should be in touch with me. I called and emailed for weeks with nothing but excuses for this White man that he would be moving the next month so I shouldn't worry. Well I was freaking terrified, when I asked for a new unit I was told that my lease can be terminated and I can pay the fees for the early release by another manager at the time. Then when I address Kim the now property manager she denies telling me she knows exactly who I was talking about. Which pissed me off, because she was like "omg omg I know exactly who you're speaking about." I just felt as if I was a white girl, and he was black there would've been a zero tolerance policy for that type of situation. During move-out. I cleaned the placed better than it was cleaned when I moved in, floors shampooed, the oven cleaner wouldn't even turn on, and everything was fkn spotless. I get a move-out statement where I'm being charged for items that were on the move-in checklist. I know this was just to take my deposit. When emailing with Kim she claims that she doesn't see the move-in sheet that I turned in. However, I wasn't charged for the missing blinds or holes in the bottom of the closets (likely from the closets being opened and closed roughly), and I wasn't charged for the shower wall having command strips there. Now she wants to charge me $150 for the burn on the bathroom counter that was there before I moved in. Also there was a small hole in the wall that was patched up and as stated per the move out list it has to be able to be covered by one layer of paint. Of course she claims she doesn't see a move in sheet so it's my word against hers in this matter. I will be seeking legal action especially because during the time I lived there many of my personal rights were violated. During that time, there was a notice about other tenants living in my unit because my mother changed the address to my sisters to my home during a dispute. My issue with her was why in tf are you going through my mail when I'm moving in the next month. I was threaten to be evicted just weeks before my lease was to end. After that moment I reached out to Kim several times and she ignored me. I spoke with another manager about how I felt like she was racist and had allowed too much to happen with no apology. I have to be with my dining room and kitchen ceiling open for almost 60 days while they repaired the pipes. Several of my clothing items were ruined because there was a leak in the AC unit in the bedroom closet. Fox Glen has a Property Manager that is shady and I think that the place could be a lot better with someone whose honest and has some integrity. I will see you in court Kim. Your scamming days are over. Shoutout to maintenance for bringing me a stick for my patio door, and just for being responsive when needed. They respected the fact that I wanted mask to be worn, and they replaced the AC probably my second week there because it was broken. (You're the reason I gave 2 stars) It's unfortunate that Cruella in the office will taint Fox Glens name. Being a liar is not cute at all.

I'm sorry for such a long review, but it's just that bad:…read more I lived at Ambassador Arms for 1 year and 5 months. I chose Ambassador for the price and the location. I rented a upper two bedroom apartment for $535 on a year contract. Even that is a little pricey for what kind of place that you get. I later regretted signing this agreement, not only because the place was horrible, but because my friend got a beautiful townhouse with a garage for $550. About two months after I moved in everything started breaking from GENTLE use; broken sliding door, leaking faucet, towel rack broke, the window blind mechanism is literally designed to fail, and I had not been able to shut a closet door since I had moved in. The electrical is a nightmare. When you move in, be prepared with several boxes of light bulbs because you will go through all of them and then some. Most of the time they wouldn't last 3 weeks. I checked the socket, I was using the right watt bulbs. The walls are paper-thin, not exaggerating. Music at a modest volume can be heard by your neighbor, and you can hear the tenants at the other side of the building walk up the stairs. We had three noise complaints in the first 4 months. On was defintely my fault, but the other two were ridiculous. I soon learned to come home, sit down or tip toe around the house. The maintenance room down stairs makes a BUNCH of noise. It was a running joke with all of our friends lumberjacks lived in there. The manager is quite rude. I'm not the only one that thought so; this has been repeated by former tenants, current tenants that lived in my building and tenants that I knew at work. One morning, the manager called me up nice and early out of a dead sleep to rant at me that I cannot have a grill on my balcony. Quite understandable, as it's against fire code; if only I had a grill on my balcony. I was getting yelled at for the neighbor's grill. I didn't get an apology, only a sort dismissal. Very unprofessional all around.(By the way, don't try to put ANYTHING on your balcony or patio, even deck chairs or camping chairs. They go around every 3 months and leave a note on your door telling you to take them off, no matter how pretty they look.) The maintenance people are horrible! Every 6 months they have a scheduled maintenance week where they change out your air filter and check your smoke detector. Lock your door folks! If they come knocking, and you happened to be sleeping, they walk right in! I woke up to a man opening my bedroom door saying "Just checkin' your smoke detector!" Sure, I think it's pretty awesome that you get free heat and water, but that doesn't make up for the $300+ consumers bill. Two months out of the summer, there must have been 5 toasters and 7 blow dryers running 24-7 in our apartment that I didn't know about. Apparently the meter was reading properly, but some lines were crossed... All I had to say was WHAT?! No compensation, I was told that it was "power consumed". I only waited so long to move out after the lease was up because I was waiting for an approval for a loan, and didn't want to sign another years lease somewhere else. After my lease was up, I went month-to-month and was $50 more. I could live with that. Three months later, however, the rent went up to $605, and I was not happy. Thankfully the loan went through and I was ready to move out 2 months later. Have to add some Pros, to be fair: Free Heat and Water The grounds are pretty Tennis Court Free access work out area and pool during office hours with 2 guests Lots of closet space No assigned parking places, plenty of spots for everyone That's all folks

If you get a ground level apartment, there are sliding doors to the outside and depending on the unit, a pretty good amount of grassy backyard space. Plymouth park is right across the street as well, which is nice. I always walk my dog there on my lunch break. Midland City Forest is less than 10 min away too which has great walking trails and is very dog friendly. The garage is a huge perk and is so nice to have in the winter and the indoor pool and hot tub are really nice to have as well. Maintenance has always been very quick whenever I've had any problems. The only complaints I have are the bugs during the summer months (pincher bugs, ants, spiders, potato bugs) are really bad. I have sprayed around all areas of my apartment numerous times with Raid and have ant traps scattered and yet still continue to see bugs on a daily basis. Additionally, the appliances and everything in the apartments are quite old and dated and the workout room is very small with only 1 treadmill. The walls are thin as well. I have had two different upstairs neighbors while I have lived here. The first sounded like an elephant walking up the stairs and across their floor and I could hear them talking all the time. However the second neighbor is much more quiet and I have never had any problems. So, hopefully you get a respectful neighbor or you may have some noise issues. I would still definitely recommend this apartment, especially for pet owners. It's a little on the pricey side but well worth it in my opinion.

Stayed at the Venetian for two years as a resident medical student. The managers are great and they…read morekeep the place very clean. My unit was a 1 bedroom first floor unit which had a very good layout. The location was very convenient to my work at Covenant hospital. They property is across the street from St Marys hospital as well. I highly recommend the Venetian Place Apartments.
