After taking my dog to Pet Care where he was x-rayed and given…read moreproper diagnosis, I found out that Forestville missed the fact he has a hiatal hernia, colitis, which needed an antibiotic. He was very ill and my questions about antibiotic were met with condescension when I asked the vet about why they weren't prescribing antibiotic. Thank God Pet Care did and now he's getting better. He's on numerous meds for the hiatal hernia, which was causing him a great deal of pain and x-rays would have revealed. Forest Hills proposed treatment and estimate did not include an x-ray. My dog went through a week of suffering that was unnecessary. Just wanted to be a little more clear about why I left the first review. But it wasn't just the fact that he was misdiagnosed or symptoms ignored, or made no effort to diagnose, it was the fact that when i asked about it , I was treated with condescension and a statement ,"we don't use antibiotics for this" and from the Dr. about "how much money Dr Long made by selling the practice to VCA".
