Someone always…read moreshows up within a day for regular requests, and emergency maintenance arrives within minutes. Every time I've needed help, they've responded quickly and kindly. The office staff is the friendliest group of ladies I've ever met in an apartment office, they truly make you feel at home. The apartment itself is spotless. The bedroom carpets look brand new, and the wood-patterned floors in the main areas are super cute. The kitchen and bathrooms are definitely my favorite parts. The kitchen has a large granite island with overhead lighting, under-cabinet track lights, and all modern, updated appliances. The bathrooms are beautiful. They have huge, clean tiled tubs, double sinks in both bathrooms, and more cabinet space than we even know what to do with. We also love the community amenities. Playing pool, corn hole, and swimming in the large pool has been so much fun. But honestly, the best part of living here is the welcoming atmosphere. From the maintenance team to the office staff, everyone is genuinely friendly, and that makes us feel at home.

I was only able to make it to the corner gas station at 287 and had to leave it there while I went to work, when I came back I mentioned it to our maintenance guy, Jose. I was just hoping he had some jumper cables or something He told me to give him a minute. about 10 minutes later, he picked me up in his car drove me to the gas station got my car started for me, and I was on my way. anytime I have needed help he's always been there at my door within a few minutes. I really appreciate him and the rest of the staff. This was my first experience living in an apartment complex so if I ever have to do it again, they're gonna have a lot to live up to. Jennifer

From a state of the art weight room, to a semi-private mailing area to a beautiful pool and outdoor area, the Bexely felt like luxury. Immediately Callie and Shawanda made my husband feel greeted and heard when he toured on his own and then Daniela was knowledgeable when we brought our whole family to see the place. Our unit is still being power washed before moving in, which I appreciate the extra effort to make the place as new as possible before we start living there! First, they transferred the deposit to the new apartment which I did not agree with. They then determined that the other individual needed to pay a new deposit after he moved in and they mailed me the deposit after the 30-day Texas code and blamed us because we did not fill out paperwork that they never sent. They removed monies for urine-stained carpet but did not identify this via the move-out inspection. I would recommend that you find another apartment complex within Mansfield. Not worth their poor management.

We no longer feel 'unheard,' and management is doing what they can to maintain the property amid COVID-19 issues. Timely communication has also greatly improved. We had previously decided to move at the end of our lease, but we are now planning to stay at least another year. I would definitely recommend this complex, though I would avoid moving into an apartment in buildings #1 or #2 if they face Debbie Lane. Retail customers below can be ... noisy, though we have become used to it. Other than that, I would say it is a comfortable place to live.

The grounds are well maintained, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and quick to respond. The structure of Shadow Brook is a non profit and the apartments are leased for ranges, based on your income (though it IS NOT section 8 housing). They offer efficiencies on up, and are usually on a wait list. They only show apartments on Fridays and do not always have one to show each Friday, though they do have a photograph album of model apartments and floor plans. Initially I was nervous to rent an apartment without seeing the unit first, but I couldn't be happier. With the option I chose (the loft style 1 bedroom) I have plenty of space and am able to live on my own affordably ($490 a month rent). Many of my friends and classmates pay nearly double to live, in many cases, a worse complex. When I moved to Arlington and told people I live at Shadow Brook I usually got an odd look, and some informed me that it used to be bad, but that was before Foundation Communities bought it a couple of years ago. Today, I have never felt unsafe nor have I worried about being ripped off or felt like my neighbors were shady. Upon my renewal they cleaned my carpet for free, they offer residual pest control and special request pest control visits each Wednesday (at no additional charge, without limits) and they use ABC Pest and Lawn. In the back of the complex is a boys and girls club and at tax season United Way sets up and helps you file your taxes for free. At least once a month they have a "produce day" where fresh produce can be bought at a good cost in the front of the building. Its close to UTA (actually a shorter bike ride for me than a drive due to the traffic on Cooper) and well located. I will renew again next year if it continues to be the wonderful property I have enjoyed.

I…read morewas then informed that there were no units available, no units to show and that if I was truly interested I could pay $100 to get on a 6-9 month waiting list. Driving through it seemed like a nice property but the way the scheduling process was handled if there was availability I would not consider it. It's apparently a known issue that interested parties are scheduling online. There should be a phone call or an automated message on the site informing people before they try to schedule. I drove from Farmers Branch to view this property.

GO ELSEWHERE..the picture show the other side of this place...
