Even though we were flying within Spain we still were able to purchase items in Duty Free. This is the best option and deal for water. Plenty of seating, charging stations throughout the terminal. We only had carryon luggage so I cannot comment on check in. Security was quick and a breeze. Several places to pick up last minute souvenirs. Several food options for even the pickiest of eaters. They had a few comfortable chairs at gates, exercise likes that would charge your phone. Numerous restrooms.

It was a small airport but even with a flight to Marrakech the checkin process, security and immigration went very quickly. We had lots of time to kill so we wandered the terminals. Facilities were in good condition, decent amount of shopping including the large Duty Free shop and an assortment of restaurants. Luckily we finished a heavy breakfast buffet earlier so we were good If you're a fan of Airbus planes then this airport was next to one of its factories. It also supported a large number of Ryanair flights, probably the largest carrier in SVQ.

This hotel is outdated and some services not functional. In our case the safe would not open in…read morethe evening just saying "call service" after using it a few times earlier. The room was "meh". Needed an extra blanket and calling the desk was useless. Just had to go to desk to get it. Breakfast was okay. Automatic coffee machine grinds beans and chugs along for several minutes before it spits out about an ounce of coffee. Had to repeat three times to get half a cup. Not efficient.

Arrived here from Barcelona and was impressed at how easy it was to disembark and get through the main lobby of the station and out to the parking area where I got my Uber to go to the hotel. When departing Seville, arrived at the station about 45 minutes early and about 30 minutes before scheduled departure, they announced the gate for the train to Madrid and very effectively herded all the passengers down the ramps to the trains. Note here that security scanning of bags took place on the platform itself. In Barcelona, you scanned your bag before entering the waiting area. The station was very clean, staff was helpful, there were plenty of shops to get food, drink or souvenirs. Definitely one of my top 10 favorite train stations!

There are hourly trains to many cities like Madrid, Malaga, etc. Some are direct, some are fast trains (AVE), some make many stops. The station is connected to the historic center by bus, taxi, ride share, etc. There are many shops and cafes in the station for those wanting to get something before their departure trip.

Very quiet, so any real activity is going to be about a half a mile walk (~15 mins). Or, public pay bikes are available at the crosswalk with the first 30 minutes being free. Sevilla is very much bike friendly, so on that note, be sure to keep clear of the green bike pathways on the sidewalk. The food at the breakfast buffet was not much of a variety compared to what we experienced at previous hotels. I do like the fact that they had attendants assisting with the espresso machine! Most restaurants didn't open until 8:30pm, so plan accordingly. Taxis are about 8 EUR to/from the city center. No laundromat on site, but they do offer the service at much higher fees. We ended up walking about a mile to do a load for 7 EUR.

The other thing that is of concern is the discrepancy between the information I received from the front desk and another guest's experience; I was told the water, coffee, and tea left on the counter were complimentary, but she was charged 6 Euros for the water and it was only a small bottle! There's some construction going on outside but that's not their fault. Aside from that, the room was very neat, quiet and clean, the lobby area was very airy, the workout room was extra large, the breakfast buffet was very satisfying (they'll make an omelet for you), and I had a very uneventful and satisfying stay at this Melia. I skipped the in-room refrigerator snacks to avoid the extra charges.

It's behind the lobby, with an extension to sit 'outside' in a covered area. It was too cold for the pool to be open so we didn't see it, but it was such a nice, expansive place. We appreciated the flavored water in the lobby. Obviously using them to fill a water bottle is a no no, but disposable cups were provided. There was also a bar in the lobby (just about every hotel we went to had a bar) but we did not visit it. The rooms were just ok. Lately hotels provide a kettle for water, and instant coffee/tea/sugar/creamer. We had a mini fridge but declined to use it. Again, the shower consisted of a sliding door that did not extend across the length of the shower. There was a toilet and bidet, and again, the towels were kind of minimal. We grabbed a couple from the gym, which was modest but good to have. Being across the street from a department store, and near public transportation made for much convenience. But BE CAREFUL: they have a bike/standing scooter lane that somehow morphs into the sidewalk, so when crossing the street, watch both directions, even if the light is green/walk sign!
